Just so everyone can understand what the word liberal actually means, just look at this guy. He is one. And he's a hell of a lot closer to the right than you think. Man it's astounding how many people misuse these words and expect you to have a conversation with them. A blue haired clown who screams about trannies or stigmatizing mental illness isn't a liberal. Yet they are called that daily, by the majority of people.

He even wrote a book called The Death of the Liberal Class. Which couldn't be more spot on, there's like 12 of them left.

She felt the earth move, got choked by a strange blue fog, and fell to the ground. She checked the local radio station. Nothing. No earthquake.

It uses the server-client model, just like Matrix for example, which does make message delivery more reliable. Specifically offline messages are hard to deliver in a p2p network. I agree that they should open-source the server and allow the client to connect to different servers. However, 'man-in-the-middle server' is a deceptive term because it inserts the name of an attack into a perfectly valid model. When you connect to this website, you also connect to a server, of course. Clients connecting to servers is what the Internet is for the most part.

You identify by phone but your messages are e2ee. Furthermore, you can reproduce the build so you don't just have to trust them about the e2ee like with whatscrapp. I've read that they have only a minimal set of metadata. Last login time is one of only a few things on the list. Do you suggest they can gather more metadata?

Don't get me wrong, Maher is most certainly bad news and we should pressure her to step down. However, I'm not convinced that privacy is directly threatened by this.

Signal has fishy origins. They use a man-in-the-middle server for message distribution. They do not allow software audit of that server because it is "secret", but they say "trust them".

They require you identify yourself to use the service. Users have been asking for a method to use the app that does not force indentify the users. So far that carrot has been dangled in front of the users for 8-years now.

I believe it is a honeypot for five eyes.

A wonderfully reasoned response, as usual. Moreover, I'd like to politely argue that The Gateway Pundit and their Republican handlers are trying to destroy the US for the sake of their own temporary financial gain, and are among the most evil of the misinformation websites, and their HQ worthy of being burned to the ground, with their employees and corporate lobbyists inside. But I digress. Indeed, the solar panel farm is still under construction, merely requires repairs, and is evidence that this kind of solar farm should be on land, rather than on water.

Guard Your Secrets: 8 Things You Should Never Share with Anyone by kiranrao01 in news

[–]kiranrao01[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Introduction: In a world where sharing is often encouraged and openness is valued, it’s essential to remember that not everything is meant to be disclosed to just anyone. While building trust and fostering connections are vital aspects of human interaction, some information is better kept close to the chest. Let’s delve into eight things you should never share with anyone, safeguarding your well-being and maintaining boundaries in your relationships.

Personal Identification Information (PII) In an era where identity theft and online scams are prevalent, safeguarding your personal identification information (PII) is paramount. This includes your Social Security number, passport details, driver’s license number, and banking information. Sharing such sensitive data can leave you vulnerable to fraud and financial loss. Intimate Details of Your Relationship While confiding in close friends or family members about relationship challenges can be therapeutic, divulging intimate details about your partner or the intricacies of your love life can lead to unintended consequences. Respect your partner’s privacy and the sanctity of your relationship by refraining from sharing excessively personal information with others. Passwords and Security Codes Your passwords and security codes serve as the digital keys to your online accounts and sensitive information. Sharing them with anyone, even trusted individuals, compromises your cybersecurity and puts your data at risk. Keep your passwords confidential and opt for secure methods of storing and managing them, such as password managers. Future Plans or Aspirations While it’s natural to seek advice and support from loved ones when planning for the future, disclosing every detail of your goals and aspirations can invite skepticism, envy, or unnecessary pressure from others. Exercise discretion when sharing your ambitions, and be mindful of whom you entrust with your dreams. Confidences Shared in Confidence Confidentiality is the cornerstone of trust in relationships, whether personal or professional. If someone confides in you with sensitive information, honor their trust by refraining from sharing it with others without their explicit consent. Respect boundaries and prioritize integrity in your interactions. Negative Thoughts or Opinions About Others Venting frustrations or expressing negative opinions about others may provide temporary relief, but it can also damage relationships and tarnish your reputation. Gossiping or spreading rumors not only reflects poorly on your character but also creates a toxic environment of mistrust and animosity. Practice discretion and kindness in your communication. Financial Status or Wealth Disclosing details about your financial status, income, or wealth can lead to envy, resentment, or even exploitation by others. While transparency in financial matters is important in certain contexts, such as business partnerships or familial discussions, exercising discretion about your financial situation helps protect your assets and privacy. Deeply Held Fears or Insecurities Sharing your vulnerabilities with trusted confidants can foster deeper connections and emotional support. However, divulging deeply held fears or insecurities to acquaintances or casual acquaintances may leave you feeling exposed or exploited. Choose your confidants wisely and prioritize emotional safety in your relationships. Conclusion: In a culture that often celebrates transparency and oversharing, exercising discretion about what you disclose to others is crucial for safeguarding your well-being and maintaining healthy boundaries. By respecting the privacy of sensitive information and prioritizing trust and integrity in your relationships, you can cultivate deeper connections while protecting your personal and digital security. Remember, some things are best kept between you and yourself.

Well, yes, of course, but I'm also making a point:

Worshipping Mbombo/Bumba, the creator God

ostensibly because you're not Kuba.

But, worshipping Jesus and/or Yahweh,
a rather distasteful MiddleEastern tribal deity,
that seems perfectly reasonable to you.

It's not though.

Somewhat misleading article.

However, this ambitious experiment ended in a spectacular failure.

No. Just needs some repairs.

Narmada Hydroelectric Development Corporation (NHDC) has started evaluation of the damage, but is confident the plant will be back to producing power soon.

The project was supposed to be the world’s largest floating solar PV plant, but instead, it’s become a stark reminder of the limits of renewable energy and the dangers of prioritizing grand ambitions over practical realities.

And now we knowwhy they're being misleading. Fear-mongering from the fossil fuel industry about renewables.

While the anchoring at this site was clearly inadequate, trying to convince the reader that anchoring must therefore necessarily be inadequate for all floating solar projects is only going to work on that part of your audience who are refusing to think about it.

You Keep Using That Word ('truth'),
I Do Not Think It Means What You Think It Means,
Which seems to be ... 'Imaginary Deities and Magical Beings'.

And, by the way, why are you rejecting Mbombo, the Lord? :)

The average internet user will not bother with making these changes or even be aware of what is happening when they receive a vague error like shown in the screenshot, so for most, this is effective censorship.

That's a shame. I'm thankful to have my panels at home.

The good news: If this had been a nuclear power plant that had been destroyed, toxic material could have poisoned and killed life for miles.

There are biological process, you have ancestors, you have DNA, but no.... your body was not created by dumb forces getting lucky by "evolution". You were not created by chance and you did not create yourself.

Which God is the true God? Of course, it is Jesus, the Lord, who is the image of God. If you sincerely wanted to know the truth, you would see that I am telling you the truth, to help you and not to cause you harm. If you were seeking the truth, you could pray to the (for you) "unknown God" and ask him to show you the truth, and he would show you.

No biological processes, ancestors, DNA, evolution, etc?

Either I created myself or ... deities?

Oh, right, only one deity.

OK, which one?

Mbombo?

There is one God. Yes, there is a Deity. You certainly did not create yourself.

When the internet first got started, I thought: Finally.... the people of the entire world can communicate and be friendly toward each other, we will realize we are all human beings, and we can finally have peace. War will be outdated and obsolete.

but nooo!

Unfortunately, wars continue to get worse, and man makes no attempt to be at peace with his neighbors even though the lines for communication have been opened. The war machine is thriving. Instead of using the internet to bring peace, man uses it to spread propaganda, hate, fear, and lies. That is the opposite of God, who gives us a spirit of love, power, and a sound mind.

I'm more concerned about the organizations that are prepping these kids. National Students for Justice in Palestine and of course, Antifa, BLM, and some old school Black Panthers. Time and time again, we see these kids getting asked why they're protesting and they either don't know (most cases) or they refer you to "someone in charge." These are the same kids who protest everything and they're being mobilized for any cause these fringe groups want to use them for. THAT is my fear. That and seeing rich, little, white girls wearing a kafeyah and pretending to be Muslim extremists.

Pro-Palestine means Pro-Hamas to me, and that means pro-terrorism and pro-genocide. That should mean automatic expulsion. This is not a Free Speech issue, these groups that are prepping them are calling for the fall of the US and a new, socialist order. That's sedition.

What is it with retarded trans doing one zero effort thing in their life and that being notable for them forever.

There was that one tranny that wouldn't shut up about having "invented" Sonichu, which is a cross between Sonic and Pikachu, then demanding they basically deserve retirement based on that fact.

Organizations like Jewish Voice for Peace and Jews for Justice for Palestinians are doing important work. One by being a voice of reason, that speaks all the louder for being from a source that might be expected to be biased, and secondly by combatting the rise in antisemitism as the world sees the brutality of the genocide in Gaza.

Sadly their voices don't seem to be loud enough.
