don't need to use artificial scarcity,

Need is one of those con artist words like "all". For example bullshiters will always argue that "not all..." to discredit any argument they don't have a real argument against.

People don't need gold or ammo, so those things are weak tools of control. Things that are powerful control tools like energy, food, housing, are not naturally scarce. Natural gas is literally burned off at oil wells as a waste product, yet your heating costs go up every year. Natural gas should be nearly free. Farmers are paid not to grow crops to keep food prices high. Regulations keep cheap homes from being built.

Without artificial scarcity most people would be able to work 3 months out of the year and support a family of 5. But then they would spend 9 months of the year figuring out how much they are getting fucked by the kleptocrats. Idle minds are free to think. Idle hands are free change things.

Research papers should be free. Internet should be free. Cell phone service should be $10 a month. There are thousands of unnecessary and unjust ways in which everyone is sucked dry because that keeps them too weak, too poor, to preoccupied with trying to make more money to ever become a problem for those in power.

High levels of glyphosate found in more than half of sperm samples by Drewski in Health

[–]iamonlyoneman 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

For the lazy: about half of guys at a french infertility clinic had glyphosate levels of 0.7 nanograms per millileter in their jism. This is more than none, but not just a whole lot.

also: the error bars are interesting. the detected amounts in samples from non-smokers is so small, the error bars don't even overlap the error bars from smokers. https://ars.els-cdn.com/content/image/1-s2.0-S014765132400486X-gr1.jpg Table 3 is arranged in a way that makes me suspicous, because of what they left out. It seems like, from looking between the lines, if you don't smoke, you don't have detectable levels of glyphosate in your blood or semen, if you are one of these patients. That's such a bonkers level of difference, it makes me question the study as a whole, and makes me feel like smugposting about how people who smoke are absolute mongs if the study was done properly. Perhaps the oxidative stress from smoking is what allows the bad chemicals to bioaccumulate?

Perhaps this study is a nail in the coffin of legal cigarettes, more than an indictment of acricultural herbicides.

For the ignorant: nano means approximately none.

I agree, but I think it's mostly ignorance and a general lack of intelligence. Corruption exists everywhere in positions of power, but the general public isn't held back by corruption. Your position is very optimistic, because it suggests things can change.

The elite (whoever those are, because our political leaders are certainly not elite anymore) don't need to use artificial scarcity, because there is still actual scarcity (for example Au is not exactly abundant). Some types of cheese are branded and sometimes even the biology is "protected" and that's a type of intellectual property that shouldn't exist for basically forever. Even for such a simple thing as ammo there is an actual shortage and that's because for anything with non-trivial demand it's difficult to match supply and demand. However, I do concede that given enough automation that's a thing of the past.

cost of maintenance of the infrastructure didn't go down enormously.

I have seen some very impressive machines build that can do the work of hundreds of men. Whatever the reason is that maintenance costs are high I don't believe it is a lack of technology. My first guess is that maintenance costs are artificially inflated to either fleece the municipalities that pay for it, or to cook the books for the railway companies.

you need to know a lot about the existing rail business

That is a problem for individuals and small companies, not for governments that can easily create a transportation tzar, and should already have one, who should have no problem not only collecting all that data but creating a plan to make the railway viable using things like government funded programs to build out relevant industries that would be symbiotic with the railway. For example having attractions built out on cheap rural land that will be easily accessible by those trians.

Also, the state of automation is so mature it is threatening to destroy civilization as we know it by taking away everyone's job. At this point any competent, well intentioned government should be able to leapfrog old technologies and start breaking ground within a few years using automation to build out infrastructure at a pace never before seen and a cost that would be negligible. The only thing holding everyone back now is corruption, namely entrenched political and financial elite who use artificial scarcity to dominate the majority.

Pilot wave theory by Canbot in science

[–]Canbot[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

One theory is that all matter comes from excitations in fields. There is an electromagnetic field that occupies all space. When you excite that field enough you create an electron. You may have heard of the higgs field which was a big topic of discussion a few years ago when they were trying to get funding for particle colliders to look for the higgs boson. In theory the waves are traveling through the field which gives birth to particles.

Another theory says it is waves in an either that permeates everything, or space time itself.

The purpose is to give time for criminal activities and mental problems to manifest, things which would bar ownership of a gun. Note that the age requirement only applies to assault rifles. He should also bring Evgeniya Emerald to speak. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydNueSx9_vM&t=208s Her purpose would be to get support for Ukraine. Sure, Britain's army is good. But, what makes you think that they can quickly defeat the entire, huge Russian military? I hardly think that's likely. At most, they might be able to help Ukraine hold the line, and, the British public won't tolerate thousands, or tens of thousands of casualties going on for years. You're not fighting Argentina in the Falklands here! The notion that the British army would simply be able to "wipe up" the entire Russian military in a short period of time is very unrealistic.

1970s 10" Victorinox Chef knife, suppsedly made of DIN X55CrMo14, which specifies a steel with 15% Chromium, 0.5% Molybdenum, 0.52% Carbon, 0.6% Silicon, and 0.45% Manganese. It is roughly equivalent to ANSI 440B, the German work number is 1.4110. Something like this:

A high-carbon all purpose kitchen knife I bought in Sheffield, England (knife capitol of UK) from someone who made the knife, but lost track of his info. Keeps a super sharp edge longer than the other knives.

Dexter Russell Connoisseur 14" Duo-Edge Wide Roast Slicer 13062 40D-14W, from the 1980s, gift from a chef; something like this, though older:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/404812779917

A Shun 4" pairing knife, DM0716, which is razor sharp ONLY if you want to sharpen it regularly (and there are MUCH more impressive Japanese blades that I'd recommend rather than this one):

If I were to buy a chef knife today, I'd get an old high carbon Sabatier, like:

You've missed the point completely, just like a useless bag of holes usually does.

Don't put words into my mouth, I don't hate females and have said as such many, many times. Maybe it's you? You're a windbag. But in typical persecuted female fashion, of course it isn't what it seems to be, it's how you feel about it.

It wasn't unsolicited, you made a post on the internet, holy shit! Wow, dense too?

I didn't miss the point of anything. It's my contention you found this out by banging carrots. And I said as such. Believe me, I have no desire to fantasize about you stuffing produce into your fat vagina.

You absolutely are an extremely uppity female. You nailed that one.

I'm neither, you just had to take another opportunity for self persecution for having a vagina.

The guy running the deep fryer at Wendy's has a purpose. Leftist idiots don't have the work ethic or attention to detail to operate kitchen equipment, though.

Those men who don't want to fight should ask themselves whether they would want themselves are their relatives living under Putin. Putin would certainly draft them. Some women are motivated to fight.
