I was thinking the same thing.

A much smaller country being able to attack NATO and get away with it would set a precedent.

Probably Ukraine trying to intercept a Russian missile. A similar thing happened over the country of Moldova but without deaths.

Could be a false flag to be the excuse for mayhem.

US officials say that it was a Ukrainian s300 missile trying to intercept a Russian missile.
I don't think it was a false flag by the Ukrainians, the location is close to the trajectory a Russian missile has to fly to hit Ukrainian central hubs. The S300 probably tried to intercept and missed. The system is Soviet made from 1975, not exactly top notch technology.

Perfect excuse with plausible deniability to throw at the sheeple.

LOL @ "Ukraine S-300" which is a RUSSIAN system. Of course this particular one was owned by Ukraine, since Russia has retired the S-300. Just "LOL" because this can get confusing real easy.

You know what's interesting? It's that this was instantly spun as "Russian missiles" instead of "explosion happened, looking into causes".

    CBC.

I'll wait to hear from other more credible sources.

I've updated the OP. The U.S rules out the missile was fired from Russia. Only the missile technology bears any similarity.

At least a major crisis has been averted (for now).

So they aren't quite ready to use a false flag to finally end the world?
