Can you imagine if Rachael Dolezal put the N-word in her twitter bio? But its completely okay for a woman to call herself the F slur. These people are so ignorant to history, sure its just a word, and that word might not bother YOU personally, but there are a lot of gay men alive today who were bashed and degraded with it, its one thing if WE use that word, but seeing outsiders tossing around a word that was used to bully me, especially when they regularly bully gay men sickens me. Its almost as if they actually hate gay men 🤨

There's probably a big, sad story about why she is this way, but I really don't care anymore. I don't know what's happened, I've just recently lost any shred of sympathy for people like this. I have mild autism. I became in love with a straight friend. I was able to figure out, despite my cognitively deficient abilities to process social situations and understand others' theories of mind, that despite my deep unhappiness he was not obligated to want me back. I also never developed the level of resentment that these people exhibit. I instead became very depressed, feeling that I would never find anyone.

Why the hell is it that a literal special ed student with a developmental disability is able to figure this shit out better than this self-described nurturer.

A genuine question. Is it bad that I still feel some sympathy for these things? Like, don't get me wrong, they are totally rapists and pieces of shit but...I just can't help but feel that they were probably born in shitty situations, with mental illnesses here and there, and just unfortunate overall. A normal healthy human being doesn't just wake up and say this shit.

I wish they take them away from society, not kill them or even imprison them, just take them away to some psychiatrist hospital and leave them there until researchers figure out an effective way to deal with them.

I don't think it's bad to feel empathy for fellow human beings, no matter how terrible or ill (mentally or otherwise) they are. Our ability to do so is what separates us from other life forms. We have self-awareness, and can be kind and cruel and discerning all at the same time.

Describing people as "these things"? Ehhhh ... I'm feeling a little judgy about that. But given the circumstances, I understand. And I also think it's important to not let sympathy override reality and truth.

I don't think locking them away is the right answer, as that gives more authority to the same forces that are allowing them to do what they do now. I'm not sure I have a solution though.

These people need intense mental health support and instead they're enabled in their delusions by everyone around them. There is no one to tell these people what's real and what's not; it reminds me of the mathematician from a brilliant mind who sees people who aren't really there and has a double life that's a complete fiction since he was in college, imagined a college roommate, imagined an entire career, just lost in his own mind. He asks people he knows are real to confirm that what he's seeing/who he's talking to also exists in reality and not just his mind. These people don't even have the benefit of being grounded by the people around them/loved ones. Everyone in their lives claps as they fall further into delusions and agrees that they should destroy themselves in the name of their delusions.
