The article that PenisNews sourced their propaganda from: https://archive.vn/fykpL

It tells a much different story about both mother and child. It also appeals to certain political narratives, to be honest, but at least it's the actual journalistic source.

Asaf Orr, the transgender youth project director at the National Center for Lesbian Rights and one of the attorneys who represented Katee in her CPS case

There's your donated LGB money going to good causes, like helping a straight women trans her kid.

Good. Parents pushing their kids into this bullshit is abuse and I hope it becomes more widely recognized as such.

Commentary from a Midwesterner: If you’re a mother that gets your child taken away in rural Michigan (or rural anywhere Midwest) much more is happening than what the PN article says.

Really? You think the bar is that much lower in the midwest? Genuinely curious.

Some states bias the mother to points of absurdity in custody battles. Don't know about MI in particular. If the fathers were actually as bad as they say then the mom must have been crazy

In the South and Midwest, the general consensus is that children should be with their mother. Well-adjusted men can get absolutely fucked in custody battles a lot of places in both region's. In real life, I’ve known the following women who’ve kept custody of her kids when the perfectly normal husband was denied: a woman with a history of drug abuse, a woman with serious mental illness, a woman who was unemployed, and a woman who made active threats of violence to her ex-husband.

I'm surprised the unemployed woman lost custody, honestly. From my experience that's not enough on its own. Did she have some sort of boyfriend issue (abusive, sketchy background, etc) that could have influenced the judge's decision?

But yeah- a Midwestern mother will lose custody if she's deranged, addicted, dysfunctional, abusive or dating a man with a combination of those traits.

I can't tell what the truth of this situation is because Penis News is such an unreliable source of information, but for her to lose custody implies that there's a lot more to the story than the article describes. Sounds like a highly dysfunctional family. Also, why are so many FtMs called 'Finn'?

It's been noted that there are very common tropes in trans man names (One tweet from an FTM person that legitimately made me laugh went along the lines of "We would like to thank Elliott Page for honoring our heritage by choosing one of The Names").

Names like Finn, Noah, Eli, Oliver, are "soft" sounding names and are also trending among newborn baby boys. Aiden (and a lot of its brother names, like Jayden, Cayden, etc.) were pretty popular names in the US for a while.

I feel sorry for any actual gay guy named Aiden. He'd be immediately written off as trans by any guy who's peaked or even half aware of the trans invaders.

I've been curious about what names transmen tended to choose and why. I had just assumed most are from some anime/manga(The localized English versions anyway) they consumed.

My current theory is that they'll choose the name based on either how masculine or feminine they are or how masc or fem they want to present. So some may pick the harder-sounding names, like Brock, Alex, Jack, or Frank. Most others would go the other way with soft names like Ash, Aaron, or Hayden.

I'm not sure where Finn originated, but I know the show runner for the She-ra reboot had made art of Adora and Catra's kid(I don't want to know how that happened) who is non-binary and named Finn. So it's definitely a name that's been around in the whole queer space for a bit.

The ordeal has taken its toll on Finn, too, who now exclusively identifies as male but says his stomach hurts every time he thinks about his gender.

oh so he turned out not to be trans, EXCEPT HIS TUMMY HURTS... OMG she's totally trans!!!1! Pink News knows this stuff!!1!

Are all the staff of Pink News trans people?

That's actually a good question. I think many are, but I'd love to see an actual breakdown.

I like how they're writing about this like it wasn't an absolute W for the poor kids.

Chris, the father of her two youngest children, was an army veteran with PTSD and a history of domestic violence, and at one point Churchill had had to flee with her children to a domestic violence shelter.

Gee, what if mom & kids arrived at the shelter to find that they had a "my fetish is my identity" transwoman as a roomie...?
