When they are thinking about "being a woman", they not even think about middle class privileged "cis" women. They are thinking about some weird fantasies and sexist stereotypes they saw in movies and porn. I heard a lot of times from TiMs that "it is so easy for you women to live, you just flirt a bit and get any job, any payment, any man" (yeah like i care about getting man as lesbian) and so on. They are seeing women as someone more privileged than men, who have everything, can do anything. And when those TiMs transitioning - they really getting anything they want, anything they demand, going to any spaces they want and laws are bending before them...but that is not because they are women. It is because they are middle/high class men, who even before transition held a lot of power. Especially when there situations like - women for years were asking small funding for women crisis center, while transwomen got their in few months with five time more fundings.

Whole gender/queer theory is just one huge sexist stereotype about men and women. So all it can bring is just misogyny and LGB erasure.

A great realization for me in your first paragraph! Yes, I have noted that many (not sure what percentage of TIMs) believe that women get cosseted, fed chocolate all day long, have sex every fifteen minutes, and live their lives thinking of nothing but makeup and underwear. I was never quite sure if that was just a form of AGP because some of it sounds extremely sexist and AGP is sexist, or if it is some other kind of psychological reaction to toxic masculinity or something similar.

But your point about trans women perhaps getting reinforced in those beliefs because many people are extra kind toward transgender individuals rings really true. They think they are treated with such kindness because they are women now! Well, reality will come knocking on their door when novelty wears out.

It’s not just TIMs, it’s a page from the misogynist’s playbook.

“Women have it so easy because they can just flirt and get whatever they want.”

(Notice how they only think that their particular brand of attractive, sexy women are “women”. Other women don’t exist. They’re not really women OR people.)

You know, the idea that women are cosseted and spoiled all their lives is so offensive, especially you figure the work that most of these men's mothers were doing as they were groing up. How many of these men actually watched their mothers sitting around the house eating bonbons all day? Ha. Who cooked for them, washed their clothes and got them to school? You can be damn sure, in most cases, it was their mothers!

queer theory

Michel Foucault, the father of this filth, coined it all with the eventual goal of legalizing and normalizing pedophilia. Methinks if he were alive this century instead, we'd be hearing about Michelle Foucault instead. Same disgusting pervert filth that underpins pedo orgs like NAMBLA.

Great rant!

Greetings from another modestly endowed woman -- how dare we offend men by not being bustier, right! Shakira has that line "lucky that my breasts are small and humble so you don't confuse them with mountains" -- I loved that. And then when I saw her on a magazine cover, they had photoshopped it to make her HUGE on top. Great work, guys :(
Everything you wrote reminds me of people who wish they had lived in another era. "I want to go back and live in the middle ages in a castle!" What they mean is to live at court and have all the luxuries and guaranteed food. NOT to go back and be a starving peasant left to die from plague. Or many years ago when everyone was "channeling" past lives, and they were all famous people. Nobody was ever the average poor unfortunate soul just trying to stay alive. Most men don't like real women. They like the cartoon version. Look at those Alberto Vargas paintings. Actual women posed for those, but the paintings are like overly photoshopped unrealistic interpretations. He could have just taken photos of the woman in front of him. No. He used a real woman as a starting point and then "enhanced" her. Photoshop is no different. Then when AGP types want to "be" women, they want to be the Vargas painting, not the model for the Vargas painting. I had a TiM at my school who had massive breast implants, and he would wear bandage dresses (his walk was so awkward in heels! Everything about his body movement was awkward) and his massive implants were bulging out. Yes, there are women who dress like that too, but I felt so smacked in the face by this guy. If he had been born female, given that he was tall and lanky, the odds of him having had massive mammaries would have been slim. He didn't want to be female. He wanted to be a parody of the male fantasy version. One of my best friends has very large breasts naturally, and she's considered a reduction many times over the problems they have caused her. Men would never consider that!

To transwomen being a woman is purely about the aesthetic.

The Picture of Dorian Darlene Gray

They're so obsessed with the caricature of womanhood they've been fed their entire lives they don't even see these other women. They don't acknowledge these other women.

Even as a man, this is exactly the main issue I have with transgender ideology. The emulation of a very specific stereotype is incredibly insulting. The constant barrage of "pink dresses and long hair" that's at the forefront of their presentation of themselves super quickly broke what initial tolerance I automatically held for them. It still rarely runs any deeper than that after all this time.

It belies a deep resentment towards actual women too, like you said. They don't even see most women as "proper" (ugh) women. I, who is not a woman, only know that because I automatically compare all the men-in-dresses with all the girls and women I've known in my life, or just a mental image of 10 minutes on the street, and women as a whole don't look like that. They instead look like people.
And that's what they don't (want to) see: women as people.

And to continue your excellent list of all the various women out there: WARNING: It gets graphic, but these are the real experiences of thousands of females. They're not thinking about the girls who suffer and die from freezing to death alone in menstrual huts. They're not thinking about the infant girls who now lie dead in their graves on the Indian and Chinese countryside after they were observed to be female after birth and therefore murdered. They are not thinking about the girls forced into veils as they are told they are the source of men's [disgusting] desires. They are not thinking about the girls who are forcibly held down as someone with a filthy knife cuts away her external sex organs and sews her vagina shut.

But I guess they all have their Cis privilege, right? (/s)

You probably shouldn't let a bunch of mentally ill people make you a get angry . Derision and macabre pity is great but not anger. Also, I think it's pretty clear there are female typical features that a plurality of women hold. Not having those hardly makes you not a woman, it just makes you atypical. In America most people are overweight. Not being overweight doesn't make you not a human. I think so many issues with these debates stem from the fact that humans suck at conceptualising population stats

What do you think of the guidelines the Trump admin has put out for shelters to identify transwomen by physical features? Is it helpful or is it stereotyping womanhood? I wonder if there are women who will be excluded from shelters because of people believing they are transwomen?

A woman who's infertile, been shaved bald, had a double mastectomy and full hysterectomy is still more of a woman than they could ever hope to be. They can strip us of everything that they think defines us as a female and we'd still be female at the end of it, even in death. They'll never have our fucking chromosomes, DNA, bone structure, gametes, etc

[–]LasagnaRossa 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

That's how you know they're not really women: the only way to be a woman is to be born one, everything else (make up, curves, bra size, height, etc) are accessories. They think that by copying those accessories, they'll become a woman.
