This man is not a pretty woman and is too stupid to figure it out. I feel bad for him. He clearly prefers to be a passive person and is deeply uncomfortable being the designated initiator/shot caller.

Sadly, he has mistakenly assumed he would have an easier time finding an equal or passive position in a relationship with a woman... as a woman, than he would as a man, which is just strictly not true. iirc at the top of the ladder men are straight up physically superior to women in literally every aspect. The only sport Ive seen where the top woman is virtually equal to the top man is archery.
