If you grew up in French culture, you will learn fighting as a boy or as a girl is "normal". That being rude to a stranger is normal and perfectly acceptable, or that being stubborn is acceptable.

Even if it is illegal and you can/will get a fine (and some jail time) for it, beating the shit out of male gay guys is very common. Lesbian have it far easier than gays. In general girls have it easier than guys, feminism worked wonder for them to the point where culturally and legally, women are more powerful than men. Economically however they have it worse. And mysogynic idiots still exist, but they are WAY weaker than in America.

Other French here. "Internalized homophobia"(as in jokes at the expenses of gays, and the "homo not fag" culture) and feminism are two shields that seems to have done wonder for us. Wokism cannot really develop somewhere so right leaned and violent as France, as the movement is centred around fragility. And feminism has a really strong influence on the internet over the debate, combined with the body acceptance culture, the TRA feel unneeded and vile to be around.

Don't search, you will only be even more confused. To give a demystified answer, gender don't exist and are only a social norm. It is very likely gender dysphoria isn't even a mental illness in itself, but a symptom of actual mental illnesses (most likely depression). That is why most country (first example in mind is France) don't do surgery unless this is a lost cause.
