I only agree with the "not women" part. This seems like a fake post.

A female will go through many life stages that are orchestrated by complex hormonal interactions. Puberty, menstrual cycles, pregnancy (if sexual intercourse with a male), perimenopause and menopause. Once we go through menopause we are not “non-woman.” We are a women in a particular stage of development orchestrated by hormones. As a woman going through menopause, I can assure you that female hormones affect more than the menstrual cycle.

What I see with the male trans activists is an attempt to colonize the lived experiences of women; to erase anything that is female-centric ( such as childrearing ) and replace it with superficial gendered stereotypes (swimsuit model). It's also what neo-liberal feminism does. Keep quiet about your menstrual cycle, childbearing and the second-shift of parenting, the female tax (everything more expensive while salaries less), the effect of pornography on your intimate life, and we will let you continue. If you start to speak up about these female-centric topics you are penalized.

I would also like to say that not only “feminine” women have maternal desires. I know many butch women who have carried children and are amazing parents. It is sad to think that such women today are being put on the path to sterility.

You can never get a truthful answer to a question like: "are trans women women?" Gillian Philip was fired by HarperCollins for the "wrong" answer to that question. From now on expect people to lie. Exactly. I've been saying this for weeks to my partner. At the ballot box, we still are anonymous. I think that accounts for some of the surprise election results in the US. Mind you, I am a politically homeless former democrat.

Is the overall GC community more right or left-leaning? by veruscka8 in GenderCritical

I was a "Bernie Bros," (I'm a woman). I'm far-left economically, but socially more centrist. I shy away from identity politics because it detracts from solidarity. If the fundamental inequalities inherent in capitalism were addressed, many issues would drastically improve. That said, I do see the hazard in complacency around race, sex and able-ism. I can't align myself with the woketivist, cancel-culture left.

I say leave before you become enmeshed with someone who doesn't share your values. I told my husband that this one area where we can't "agree to disagree." I still feel like he is humoring me and secretly thinks he married a transphobe, even though I have articulated my stance and shared a wealth of information. I am deeply entrenched in my marriage/family, so I cannot leave with the same freedom.

When my daughter was about three we were out walking, stopping on a fairly desolate train bridge to look at trains (her fascination at the time). A very imposing figure with feminine attire approaches, gets into my personal space and says “You know, if you abuse them at this age it’s okay... they won’t remember.” After the disgust passed, I felt sad that this person was so emotionally damaged. Looking back, I see it was calculated abuse against a natal woman. It was the “no one will believe you,” smirk on his face. Like many, I’ve been busy and somewhat isolated. I wasn’t aware of how horrible cancel culture had become. The JKR post and the violent response to it, getting personally banned by two parenting groups for benign comments, getting cancelled by a school librarian friend all pushed me over the edge. As a woman and mother of a daughter, it is incredibly important for me to fight this battle. Unlike some women with careers to protect, I am professionally aloof at the moment (a stay at home parent for various reasons). As you can see, I need to hone my writing ability to be more effective, but I’m ready for the challenge.
