what other choice do we got against a virus?

Viruses have been around longer than humans have and been with us for all of history. You don't need a vaccine for a novel flu if you are a healthy, non-elderly person. It isn't Black Death II

None of this has made any sense since the start. Maybe the vaccines do exactly what they are supposed to do - but what does it say about our society that we freak out over a virus with a 99.98% survival rate such that we 'lock down' the economy and destroy the livelihoods of millions of people to save a couple million old, obese, or otherwise infirm people? This is either pure hysteria or otherwise a work of some kind by the elites, I don't see any reason to buy into or trust any of it

It's not about being healthy. It only takes one person to literally infect the entire world and the fallout has been people of all ages dying when they shouldn't have to.

That's why it's a terrible idea to shrug this pandemic off. Covid's death count is still going, and hospital's can only accept so many patients.

If we want this madness to end, then vaccines are the only option. Again, it's like giving everyone their own personal shield and the bullets get deflected instead of coming back.

No matter how much you want to rationalize it, Covid-19 has more cons than pros.

For example, even if you don't get sick, it's your tax dollars that still has to pay for all the ambulances and hospitals needed to save people.

Or when schools get infected, they're forced to close down, leaving hundreds of kids stranded at home. And that's if they're lucky. A lot of parents can't even afford daycare or a babysitter, so that's a ton of stress they don't already need in their busy lives.

It's only when we take the virus seriously, can life go back to normal.

Every country that tried "herd immunity" ended up with record deaths in the beginning. It was never worth it.

If you want to see examples of how to save your economy & population, then look at Taiwan, Australia and New Zealand. They enforced strict lockdowns and border restrictions and today are 99% virus free.

Vietnam is also another example. They have 100 million people yet even their government knew the virus was a threat and took action. To this day, they only had 35 deaths. It doesn't have to an extreme scenario of throwing away lives and losing money.

It is possible that there were different Covid strains, namely one being Asian, and the other European. This is where the difference in mortality comes from.

Regardless of which strain is more deadly, it's hard to deny WHY closing borders and enforcing strict limits on body movement wouldn't result in a safer society.

The virus never swam across water and landed on each nation's shores. It all came from infected passengers who back then, failed to quarantine once they got off the plane and spread it to the rest of the country.
