I read this because of the stunning and provocative title, somehow it was even dumber than I expected.

>this guy doesn't get Valhalla or even the concept of afterlife more broadly, actually

>"the number nine symbolises pregnancy" (what?)

>lots of poor attempts at comparison of symbols

>written in the stream of consciousness style, attempts no systematic analysis, just sticks to abusing elements of Norse myth in order to push bizarre and ridiculous interpretations of it

>some of it is literally just incoherent ramblings, like the parts on Dwarves

>he doesn't even attempt to define or engage with the overarching worldview of Norse myth, instead contents himself with deriding honour culture for some reason? I can't tell if he's trying to promote extreme cynicism or just being edgy or whatever

The text reads like something written with the express purpose of discrediting every form of actual myth analysis by association. To list all necessary criticisms would be a huge challenge, I've only bothered to address what I found most relevant. The whole article is just a big mess. If you're interested in myths and symbols, try looking into someone qualified instead. "The Myth of the Grail" by Evola can offer some contrast on Arthurian myth, for example.

It doesn't get much worse than this if I have to be honest. Everything from the perspective he adopts to the analysis is just awful. I am surprised these people even find an audience, it's probably due to the difficulty in finding a good examination of the topic.

Yeah seems like agitprop.
