It's probably true tbh. Realising the level of trans bullshit that's happening makes you wonder what other bullshit you've been swallowing.

In my case, it was the other way around. I was clued in by the early BLM bullshit, the start of the doublespeak about "BIPoC" and who can and can't be racist, and the whole mess around Trump's first election. So when the troonery started up in full, I was just immediately slapping that "X" button :D.

It was definitely the trans shit for me. I used to believe that people were genuinely trans. I very, very much assumed that huge amounts of caution were exercised when children claimed to be the opposite sex. And I thought it was so obvious that transwomen couldn't be in women's sports or prisons and third spaces of some kind would be made. When people started bullshitting that no transwomen really were physically just like women I couldn't get my head around how stupid it was. Then non-binary started and that's just fucking beyond parody stupid. Then I looked into it and saw that they not only rushed children to transition, but actively promote it to kids. It made me question just about every single thing I thought I knew.

That said, I'm currently reeling again at all the utter dumbfuck morons online claiming that the released Israeli hostages had a great old time with their sweet, huggable Hamas captors. I didn't think that people could honestly be that fucking stupid. Even if you politically side with the Palestinians, how the actual fuck can you look at pictures and video of terrified people doing what they are told in the hopes of surviving and having their still captive loved ones survive, and claim it's genuine love and respect for their captors.

It's because they're completely disconnected from reality. Between the echo chambers and the natural insulation provided by watching this stuff through sanitized (and carefully spun) media, they can embrace the lie that Hamas are just innocent victims themselves.

Anything really bad that they do is either the work of bad actors or propaganda from certain (coughcoughJewishcoughcough) sources--or, in the minds of the the quietly bloodthirsty supporters, obviously deserved--and most of Hamas is obviously nothing like how they're portrayed.

I fucking despair for humanity. I didn't think so many people were so very, very stupid while thinking they are so clever that they are happy to actively promote their stupidity online. This morning I saw a twitter post from someone who walked past the school in Dublin where a week ago three children and a care worker were stabbed, and he complained that there were a pair of drunks/drug addicts sitting on the entrance steps that the children had to walk around. Straight away some fucking white knight jumped up to berate him for his prejudices against the poor victims of addiction. The original poster was clearly making a point about the lack of care being shown by the gardai to the children and staff of a school that had just gone through a very real trauma. The state should be doing everything they can to help those kids feel safe but they are being ignored. And this stupid shit jumps up to call the person pointing this out a bigot.

Well, the problem is more we're in the endgame of "politics as sports team". Humanity spent millennia under the viewpoint "people are willing to come around if you show them they're right", and all it took was about 15 years of social media to change that to "you don't get it, do you? We'd RATHER BE WRONG than admit you're right, because if we admit you're right then that means you WIN!"

Oh the irony.

Hamas lets their freed people speak openly about their experiences. Israel doesn't. That is all you need to know.

You're obviously referring to pictures and videos in some other alternative universe to ours. How much Kool-Aid do you have to drink to look at something like this or this and see "terror" in the released hostages' face???

Do you imagine that Hamas ' reach is so long they can intimidate freed Thai workers and their families back home?

You don't have to believe that Hamas are kind and cuddly tree-hugging hippies singing Kumbaya all day long. You just have to understand that they know that they can't defeat Israel militarily without outside help, not so long as Israel has the support of the USA, but they can win the PR war and gain friends and allies by simply not acting like Israel does. The more Israel acts like Israel always acts, and the more Hamas doesn't, the more Israel will be diplomatically isolated and eventually politically, economically and militarily.

There is absolutely nothing to gain for Hamas to torture or mistreat their captives, and everything to gain by treating them with as much humanity as possible during a war. Including their little dog.

Hamas has done their best to publicise the experiences of every one of the freed Palestinians, while Israel has put their freed hostages under media lockdown and refuses to let them speak freely in case they go off message, like Yocheved Lifshitz did.

Hamas are fighting a resistance war against a hostile, racist regime dominated by religious extremists that openly calls for the elimination of all Palestinians from Greater Israel, whether by ethnic cleansing, forced expulsion, or genocide. I'm not saying that every member of Hamas is as innocent as the driven snow, but they are the moderates in this war. Every Israeli accusation is a confession.

TIL the act of taking a picture with someone means you fully support all of their opinions.

American politics be like this. Quite stupid. You say something that goes against your parties orthodoxy and the partisan hacks will paint you as the enemy. Making it a self fulfilling prophecy really.

Less the left to right pipeline, more, "I drew this line in the sand and everyone on the wrong side of it is going to be pushed with the bulldozer over to the right"

Imagine hanging out with your insanely left wing friends, talking about removing borders, dissolving the police force and that black people are being hunted in the street by roving gangs of red hat wearing Republicans when someone mentions that there's a "Genocide" of trans people happening and you say: "Well, we probably shouldn't dilute the word 'Genocide' like that. Nobody is intentionally attempting to kill or remove them. Remember that real genocides have happened, so out of respect for the horror of those events, let's not fall into hyperbole."...

... And their eyes go dull with incomprehensible rage and the next thing you know you're the only "Far Right Nazi Fascist Extremist Transphobe" who is still supporting BLM, claiming there's an unlimited number of genders and demanding people in real life call you "They/Them".

The endless hunger of the purity spiral.

I remember a few years ago a bunch of people I knew from college, the slacktivist types anyway. Were all going around on Facebook complaining about how "cancel culture isn't real" or some shit and it was quite funny when they ended up on the wrong side of it and were all like "throwing out blatant accusations of groomers is wrong" or some shit.

I mean really a lot of people don't understand that the witch hunt is a very old concept that has existed long before the witch hunts for which the concept is named. Mob justice really. "Cancel culture" is simply the latest term to come out describing it.

And I think it's entirely rooted in the us vs them narrative that most people tend to fall back onto. I've found it difficult to discuss truly offensive topics with most people because they just shy away from the discussion but it makes it impossible to really get a good understanding of the idea if you do that.

I call it the tree of knowledge paradox. Eat the fruit and gain the knowledge of good and evil and become like God, but of course, knowing evil also means you are evil.

Was that way with the trans issues and gay issues growing up, what do we know about these? Well we don't talk about them in public or in private and if you dare to look into it or start exploring the ideas, the normal people will shun you, rightly to some degree I think as it does serve as a kind of social immune response to viral ideas. But I think the internet has changed that dynamic entirely as ideas no longer require people to be in direct contact with each other to spread ideas. And can allow even the most fringe ideas to find others to build off of for better and for worse.

It's always seemed ironic to me that Apple chose the apple with a bite taken out of it as their logo. Seems apt to the current situation I think. The iphone especially at the boom of the smartphone, essentially put the whole of human knowledge, both good and evil, into the palms of the innocent. And while I don't agree with the people who believe that knowledge itself is a sin, you can't truly understand evil without making it a part of you.

I know what you mean. Nothing is achieved, nothing is fixed, nothing is healed, nothing is resolved and nothing is learned because the topic is so taboo that people exist in perpetual fear of... Despite being correct or incorrect... Saying something that will offend and being the next one tied to the pyre.

LOL when every single leftist is anti-trans are they still right wing, or did the left just change

[–]LyingSpirit472 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Well, there's your problem- to the leftists saying it, they truly believe you cannot be leftist unless you are trans, and believe it on such a profound level that if a trans hacker hacked Donald Trump's Twitter and put he/they as his pronouns, they would say he's the most leftist politician ever and instantly follow him- he'd be non-binary forever, so therefore he's a true communist.

Holy shit if Trump suddenly played fake woke, switched sides and stole the Democratic presidency from Biden that would be an all-time troll

Every generation, a number of deleterious mutations occur in the human genome. Some are not really that bad like left handedness or being prone to eczema. Natural selection removes a portion of this population. LGBT and so on is a mutation that also tends to be self-correcting as these mutants rarely are fertile. So there’s really no need to be phobic about these unfortunate mutated beings but it would be wise to avoid sex with their relatives as your children might carry the mutated gene.

I think they have the direction of travel wrong. Anyone who seriously thinks Dave Chappelle is a right wing bigot is a woke, far-left imbecile.
