Interestingly r/AskALawyer is private now. Wonder if they're getting harassed by troons.

Aw that's a shame, the replies were pretty based lol.

Edit: Looks like they went public again. Here's the original post.

Oh no, someone just learned the hugbox doesn't extend past the trans subreddits! Watch out, scary reality!

Some people have become so used to the law and the media bending over backwards to protect their feelings that, in any instances where it doesn't work to ruin the lives of people who make fun of them, they become mortified.

Someone’s worried about their posting history…

In light of the tragic suicide of closeted trans girl Brittini “Bubba” Copeland, I feel this is especially egregious!

Don't write erotic stories about killing a real person that lives in your town and taking their place. And definitely don't publish them on the internet then.

Like seriously what this guy posted isn't even in the realm of "it's his private life leave him alone". If I wrote a story about murdering my neighbor when I'm the fucking mayor that's basically a death threat and illegal to begin with.

ahahahaha did they really think they can make people not be mean on the internet?

There's a solution to it and it's called go outside and ignore the internet.

For the troons, that's really not a solution though. Because the vast majority of the real world doesn't give a shit about them, and what little validation they receive is almost entirely via the online hugboxes.

That's what the block button is for if you want the hugbox. Why get caught up in random people hating you? Block and move on, go outside and meet real people and understand most of them don't hate you or even know you exist.

Why get caught up in random people hating you?

Oh dear, have you never heard of that delightful thing known as the "persecution complex?" Being a target, whether they actually are or not, is a dopamine hit on par with being able to freely step on other people from the safety of their protected class. These muppets can run off to the echo chamber, cry about how all of the people are being mean to them, and there's a veritable conga line of consoling ass pats coming their way.

Theirs is a twisted world, where even bad attention is still attention, and the bad attention can lead to good if leveraged right. Notice that, in spite of all of the crying going on about their posts being featured on Twitter, they don't private the sub at all.

It makes me feel old. Who has time for that? I've got work and sleep and life to do. Too much work to create mountains out of molehills.

[–]alladd 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I wonder if that's a big reason why you see them accelerate their deviant behavior in public. Like, apart from the whole fetish spiral thing, they need to do something to get attention from people so they can make it all about them.

Did you really think you would get sound advice from a lawyer pro bono?

[–]xoenix[S] 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

That's the problem - they actually did, but they didn't like that advice.

“Oh no, something I said in a public forum is being used against me!!!”

Aren’t these the same people who love to say “freedom of speech doesn’t mean freedom from consequences!”

They’re all big and bad until someone does something they don’t like, and then they go crying to every authority figure who will give them the time of day. Pussies.

Or, consider, you know, maybe not posting every depraved thought you have on the internet?

[–]BobOki 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

How DARE we not be able to censor speech and have people arrested for saying things we do not like, and therefore are violence!!!

It is scary just how ignorant people that are radical are (both sides), and how hypocritical as well. The party trying to force others speech is also the first party to try and censor others.

Taking hormones must make you retarded:

"private thoughts and selfies on twitter"

They call it "social media" for a reason, moron.

And while we're at it, what does banning people you disagree with accomplish? Absolutely nothing. The trans community will never get any respect as long as it plays by these rules.

I’m a little miffled that we didn’t warrant a mention from the clown car brass. He’s telling them that he knows which “branches to shake,” (Reddit mods to tattle and cry to), but doesn’t list us as a “hive of villainy.” Dude’s a total dick.

[–]Adventurous_Ad6212 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Don’t post things you wouldn’t be comfortable saying in public.
