They think we're a kink too. So if they have to put their flags away and keep it in the bedroom, so do we.

The more clear it becomes how little straight people understand homosexuality the more disillusioned I get at ever reaching the point where it's just as normal for two women or two men to be in love and build a life together as it is for a woman and a man. :(

Homosexuality is just the other side of the monosexual coin, the opposite of heterosexuality. Not some abnormal deviant thing like pedophilia or bestiality or BDSM, but straight people cannot comprehend that!

As I recall the admins of that wiki cleaned house a few months back by removing hundreds of the genders, sexualities and assorted whatnot from the lists. I think it was right after the main mpd admin stepped down to find a job. Apparently, there was much uproar from the community contributors. But still, some thought the wiki went too far with all the labels. Even after the purge though, there are still way too many identities...

Rather than having so many different flags for these ever-proliferating "genders" and "sexualities", I propose consolidating them all under a single flag, with the following design:

  • Field consisting of 7 horizontal lines: retina-searing highlighter-yellow (for incessant attention-seeking); dead dull gray (for the boredom they inspire); puce (for perversion); sickly green (for nausea); brown (for the shit they're full of); blue (for dangerhair); and a fess charged-- in the center and larger than any of the others-- of black (for the yawning empty void within them).
  • Charge (image surmounting the above): biohazard symbol (for what they represent to healthy organisms) in blood red.

Wave it with pride, fujoshis et al.! You're welcome :)

I'm sure I said this a couple of years ago, but gender has become the new astrology. You know the type -- I'm a Libra with Leo rising with Aries up my ass, blah, blah, blah. It's the same insufferably obsessive over-involvement in made-up bullshit system. I suppose it's a human impulse to make your own personal distribution of otherwise unremarkable human character traits and preferences into a defined (and very special) identity. But JFC is it tiresome to hear people go on about it . . .

And whoever is responsible for the idea that lesbians are all into astrology, f you. This is one of those "Internet lesbian culture" things that isn't really an IRL thing. My DBT therapy group was waaaay into astrology and they also largely had a disorder where two of the diagnostic criteria are "lack of stable sense of self" and "chronic feelings of emptiness." Go figure.

As an astrology lover, I weep 😭 Let me enjoy my made up bullshit, all religion is made up bullshit, astrology seems like the least harmful--worst case scenario, I miss out on a good connection with a woman cus I'm jaded on ever loving another Scorpio LOL, my brand of crazy only hurts me!
