DS9 is decent, maybe try an episode guide so you only watch the main arc. TOS is pretty meh, was so underwhelming watching it after having it hyped by all Trekkies as the best.

TNG > TNG Movies > Voyager > Enterprise >DS9 > TOS-movies > TOS > TOS-animated > Discovery (only saw first half season BUT Patrick steward is coming in season2 is rumored) > 'the reboot movies'

Well the 'The Library of America' has a great collection of his novels (including the complete V.A.L.I.S. trilogy), so it won't go down easily.

Then there is 'The Exegesis of Philip K Dick' which is a monster and such a cluster of all things (reading the V.A.L.I.S. trilogy beforehand is recommended) that I'm still busy with it because catching up on the references he casually mentions in his letters are big and hard texts. But a very good look into his mind and how the V.A.L.I.S. trilogy came to be.

Some more solid Dick:

“The basic tool for the manipulation of reality is the manipulation of words. If you can control the meaning of words, you can control the people who must use them.” Philip K. Dick

“The problem with introspection is that it has no end.” ― Philip K. Dick

“This, to me, is the ultimately heroic trait of ordinary people; they say no to the tyrant and they calmly take the consequences of this resistance.” ― Philip K. Dick

“I guess that's the story of life: what you most fear never happens, but what you most yearn for never happens either. This is the difference between life and fiction. I suppose it's a good trade-off. But I'm not sure.” ― Philip K. Dick

“There will come a time when it isn't 'They're spying on me through my phone' anymore. Eventually, it will be 'My phone is spying on me'.” ― Philip K. Dick

“This is a mournful discovery. 1)Those who agree with you are insane 2)Those who do not agree with you are in power.” ― Philip K. Dick, VALIS

Not per se young:

Ah I see, when I started searching a lot of tutorials popped up, so just put 'psd to html' in your favorite search engine and pick your tutorial. All of the ones I looked through get into the the html and css part at first glance pretty well.

https://www.w3schools.com/ is a great overall resource for html and css, for looking things up.

I also found this article: https://blog.teamtreehouse.com/psd-to-html-is-dead but that's more of an 'if you're interested and have nothing to do' kind of read ;)

Goodluck!

convert PSD to a real website

Okay, so what exactly do you mean by that?

  • A picture split-up into a header, sidebar, footer. Like an oldstyle website.

  • uploading and using the psd as image file?

  • something else?

Because maybe I can find a nice tutorial. HTML, CSS and even Javascript is pretty simple to read and thinker with BUT getting on real production level is something else.

That would only work for the front page and with low user activity.

There is a funny tab that shows the top funny posts, so what more is there to want?

I wouldn't know that, but the feature is in the opensource of reddit.

I would guess it was not in the first installment of reddit but came later, but I've never been reddit so don't know.

I think being funnied on all your submits as far as the eyes reach provides enough context to go 'What the ...'.

But hey, thanks for clearing it up and rolling back!

You have been funnied because my 'up-bulbed' is much, much more and also way cooler, but you made me giggle with the knowlegde that people think light-bulbs emit white light.

Edit: wait... I see, it's white in the icon... hmmm, still though... Mine's better :p

Okay, a weird update... it seems as of a few minutes ago now (just refreshed the new page), the funnies are disappearing...

Edit: Yeah, just checked my own submits again and about 30 minutes ago they all had at least one funny dating back 4-5 days ago, as of now only appropriate submits have funnies and a lot of submits don't have the 1 anymore.

Seems like your post helped!

If it was due to system tinkering I'm sure we'll get an update about that soon.

[–]Mnemonic 1 insightful - 1 funny1 insightful - 0 funny2 insightful - 1 funny -  (0 children)

When scrolling through the new submits, seems every submit got at least 1 funny vote... So it doesn't seem to be personal towards you.

Edit: further research reveals it to be only on submits, not comments and it goes all the way back to about 4-5 days (depends on timezone I guess): so I conclude 3 possible happenings:

  • trolls

  • Over active someone who read the saidit voting post

  • Some tinkering in the system caused by accident
