The statute can be violated in three distinct ways:

By teaching or showing someone how to use, make, or deploy a firearm, or explosive or incendiary device that is capable of causing injury or death, knowing or believing it will be used for civil disorder.

Wtf so literally sending someone files or even instructional videos to someone might get you caught? That's retarded it ought to be protected speech.

The strangest part is that if this bit of text is an accurate summary of the law, then its application requires a certain level of mind reading. How else can the court confirm what someone "knows or believes"?

I'd assume their lawyer told them pleading guilty to those charges is the only way they can survive and that's what they did.

Yes, I think I actually heard about these guys and their case before. It is still staggering that there is a law which presupposes that the judge and the jury have mind reading abilities. I would expect a law like that to be abused by the courts regardless of any plea deal tricks.
