I’m not saying everything was peaceful before or that colonizers are the source of everything evil. But certain social identities of hierarchy were imposed by colonizers. This made their rule a common ally to warring factions. And to that extent, the colonizer is responsible.

The Africans made it a choice to practice those hierarchies now that the colonizers are gone. If they can't figure that out, then it means they're a lost cause.

In history, Britain is one country that understood the concept of “divide to rule”. I think it’s because if it’s geography and it’s relation to Europe. A united Europe would destroy Britain in no time but as long as there are European divisions, British success is guaranteed.

Britain by itself is a still a powerful country. It's not like they haven't fought against a united Europe before (i.e Napoleon or even Hitler).

Regardless, the comparison only proves the enormous differences that exist between the Western world and the non-white one. British people never blamed their failings on what Europe looked like. They played geopolitics well and looked after their own country.

Its easy to say stuff like “if people don’t like x they can overthrow them”. It’s not that easy in practice. Like I can also say things like “if you don’t democrats and republicans, just overthrow them” but it’s far more difficult to even do something much smaller.

The reason Democrats & Republicans have not been immediately ousted is because life in America is still somewhat good. It's not like half the country is starving or dropping dead in the streets. But make a population angry enough and they will demand a new government.

Look at Germany back in the 1920s and 1930s. That's a real example of Europeans suffering from hyperinflation or being unable to buy bread. Yet how did the Germans react? They voted in Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party to fix this, and they did.
