Might seem absurd but Genuine answer. Britain needs a Europe engaged in conflict to maintain its postion of predominance in Europe.

It’s part of the reason how they succeeded in conquering the most of the colonial world instead of France or Germany. If any single ruler controls Europe effectively, UK has no say anymore. If Europe is divided in itself, Uk can prosper

https://youtu.be/ZVYqB0uTKlE is a funny video but has a deep point about creating conflict As part of supporting Europe.

Americans tend to see Europe as one whole white continent … but Europe has more nuanced linguistic and ethnic identities.

Check out Ukraines track record against India in UN resolutions. Then also see the 1971 war about which country supported India while Henry Kissinger sent nuclear war heads to attack it. And then examine the Indian Russian relationship in that regard.

America is great country but a poor Ally. And in particular ti India, until very recently, America treated Pakistan much better than India.

I’m not saying everything was peaceful before or that colonizers are the source of everything evil.

But certain social identities of hierarchy were imposed by colonizers. This made their rule a common ally to warring factions. And to that extent, the colonizer is responsible.

In history, Britain is one country that understood the concept of “divide to rule”. I think it’s because if it’s geography and it’s relation to Europe. A united Europe would destroy Britain in no time but as long as there are European divisions, British success is guaranteed.

Its easy to say stuff like “if people don’t like x they can overthrow them”. It’s not that easy in practice. Like I can also say things like “if you don’t democrats and republicans, just overthrow them” but it’s far more difficult to even do something much smaller.

And what you said of Japan proves my point. It was only after the society stopped infighting and started to modernize that it resulted in a stronger nation. If this modernization was overseen by even a Korean colonizer, I doubt it would not create the societal fractures that would create separate nations.

And a lot of Africans countries like Ghana, Ethiopia, had contacts with many Indian rulers. Some African queen seems to have written treaties with pre-Caesar Rome too https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amanirenas

When you fight a nation, you can at best defeat it one nation. When you govern one, you can make it crumble from the inside. The result ? Many nations that can’t stay together to function under one government.

Let me suggest a few things that could be used to break Japanese civilization.

  1. Create an mythical history that some parts of Japanese population, are actually foreigners who ruled them. Ensure this history is taught in schools, is published in major media and anyone who disagree is immediately deplatformed.

  2. Create a census where everyone irrespective of what they think or know , is forced to choose an ancestor.

  3. Based on this choice some groups are assigned an ancestral heritage either of prosecution of privilege.

  4. The ones that have a history of prosecution get separate representation in all institutes and a quota is created for them.

  5. Ensure that every year academicians are incesntivized to interpret and reinterpret all stories of Japanese glory as a class struggle between different groups.

  6. Create a law of solidarity where crimes against Mythically persecuted groups is specially treated. Undermine all institutes and people using this.

  7. Do this for about than 30 years

Now the division in society will be so great that people will want a foreign power to rule them. They will not be able to agree on anything and no progress on any issue will be made. Successful ambitious individuals will leave the country and the limited pie will force people to infight.

That’s what the process of colonization did. You seem to think that it’s just taxes that were imposed. No it is fault lines that are created, that are deeepend by a colonizer that fracture a society beyond reconciliation. Take a look at Rwanda. The Hutu and Tutsi have a long history of cohabilitation. Neither killed one another en mass. A colonizer rules for 100 years and voila we have genocide.

Japanese society was never subject to that type of infighting. Hence society as a whole could come together to address problems it’s leader saw fit. If instead of forcing the Emoperror to being God, if Americans had created their own emperor equivalent for Japan then maybe you would see the harm. This is what American seems to have done in Iraq after removing Saddam (intentionally or accidentally)

I agree anti white polices are bad. But in institutions, these policies hurt Asians more. If anything whites are underrepresented in tech (industry i am familiar with) at the cost of Asians.

I’m not saying IQ is not a predictor nor that a genetic component exists. I’m suggesting that IQ changes occurred to increase IQ in the last many generations because intelligent people (with both genes and habits that developed intelligence) created same or more babies that lower IQ. This can’t be said of the last 30-40years. I also don’t know what eviromenral variables were examined for long term tests. I suspect a lot more exists than was tested.

When you look at world history, try to see it from 2-3 different lenses. It might help make more sense and might address the superiority complex you seem to have developed. If it had not been for a few key battles, maybe you would have been saying something like I can’t come across evidence that “non-Islam kingdoms could manage the world” which to me is also narrow statement.

Like maybe view Christianity from the perspective of Lithuania (last country to christianize)

Maybe the problem is that you think whites should be managing the world or that it was a good thing that they did.

That opinion is a consequence of the evangelical tendencies most western cultures have and the savior complex that the left exhibits.

About IQ, all modern societies have disincentivized high IQ reproduction. People of high IQ are incentived to get a career than family. Additionally, I doubt it is an entirely genetic thing. There are factors like early child development that might be a significant player in IQ determination. The early Jews that came to the US were much lower than average Americans but later on were able to beat the same numbers.

And we’re there people before Vikings in America ? Where do you think they came from ? Theory is that the ASEAN people also had ships that allowed them to find South America. When I consider how Western Europe lost its way, i feel the Roman’s were the first to try and interact with foreign cultures as potential equals in law. The idea of romanizing of other groups by staggering benefits of citizenship to very different peoples is the first time when a ruling class disregarded the native traditions for an expansionist policy. Christianity used a similar playbook and erased a lot of European traditions. This helped fight Islam as a united force but I doubt Islam would ever exist had it not been for Christian take over of rome.

The strength of the dollar and significant infra investment by universities and government is a significant reason why Americas middle could create companies that create produce innovators. If you look at leadership of most of these companies, you might see a disproportionate representation of one non white peoples. I don’t take it as a point, but race realism is also a nuanced concept and you are painting too broadly with large assumptions.

Lastly, I don’t think I believe the media or even academicians without examining their agenda. That’s how I find myself here and I don’t think I suspected you or anyone of hate. Convienient Bias, yes, but not hate.

Before you believe the ideas similar to manifest destiny, Monroe doctrine or inherent whites being better, you might want to see history more and examine the biases of people who told you of that too.

I’ll leave my points of discussion about immigration you made. I understand race realism. I see it as a something like religious realism, which I believe is important. Just as not all religions are equally good or bad, not all peoples are either.

If Constantinople had not fallen, I doubt either Columbus or Vasco Da gama would undertake the voyages they did. Both were trying to 2 things (1) find Allies for the church and (2) fund gold that Marco Polo had written about 2 centuries ago.

You are seeing history in a linear way. Many older libraries snd scientific accomplishments theories can be found in India, egypt, native America ….even the pre Christian Europe that were later destroyed. That one is now seen as a success, does not imply they were always successful or that they will be.

Richer countries often throw away the advantage they have while poorer countries, partially forced by the situation create a lot more ingenious things.

It was true that Europe used its ships better than more technically advanced naval powers. And after industrialization it was in a entirely different power status.

I’m glad that India did not try to be global world leader. It had the sense of improving society back home when it was the chief world power. Universalist, globe conquests may make great inspiring histories but they often come at a cost of a lot of internal rot.

The Indian independence struggle is not alike most others. One might say that British decided to leave India without much political pressure at the time among Indian political parties to do so. Now if you examine the early Indian leadership, and its attitude towards the British, you will see both are entirely sympathetic to britishers. It is something that has changed recently.

I don’t deny the points you make about Indians being politically left in the US. All I’m saying is that Indian immigrants compete better and treat the host society better. And I’ll tell you why as well. Fewer companies recruit immigrants (atleast that was the case in 2010). So unless you have a strong profile for these companies, you likely don’t get a job anywhere in the US. So at college campuses, immigrants from abroad compete at a higher level than their counterparts here. Yes, it sucks for nationals. And I wish too that we had a better quality of government and economy back home. But we don’t.

I’m not supporting any liberal talking point or saying anyone needs us or that Americans wont be as good, I’m saying that the conditions create better candidates among immigrants in college campuses. Don’t believe me? Try going to a college campus and say you have a job and see what are the proportions of quality resumes you get. I’m glad and grateful that America allows people like me here and yes because of people like me from urban India, rural America does not get the opportunity it deserves which I’m sympathetic too. But going back in early career means literally a lot more effort for little gain. I can say that South African whites also suffer the same way due to large affirmative action policies there and it is not politically easy to change it via democracy.

And across history, I’ll say that Unlike China and other defeated/ex colonized countries, Indian historians wants Indians to believe British colonization was not all that bad and Mughals were actually good. Both are trashy points in my opinion. Also Indians (especially Hindus) don’t revolt. There has never been a major revolution that occurred to over throw or kill ex imperialist or colonizers. I consider that’s the reason we see society and government deteriorate to a unusually abysmal levels. Why or how ? I don’t know. But I see something similar in Europe right now.

Overall my point is that colonization was bad and it has Rena ants in todays society which most of society is unaware of. My apologies for digressing from the topic of civilizations.

If you look up the Ming dynasty, the Han and others, they had a better fleet than Columbus did but they for some reason did not explore even New Zealand let alone the New world. Similar with India, the port of Surat had much better ships and knowledge of routes compared to Vasco Da gama but they did not sent it out to Europe.

After 1700s Europes ability to industrialize put it into altogether different orbit. Before that, Europe does not seem to be as great a place to be. Pretty much every century before the 1700s either India or China had the bulk of economic power in the world.

[–]Agni777 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Beauty, in the age before mass media, is not a centralized concept. So one usually grow up with an opinion of beauty that is defined locally. Hence even the strange long necks, modifications body parts like smaller waists, shoes…. All were considered beautiful in a limited context for a limited people. One might say something like facial symmetry is a necessary condition for beauty but nothing much is asserted beyond that.

After mass media monopolized what defines beauty, they initially picked mostly white women as beautiful. Now they are doing the same to Asians and blacks. Later on we have a society that fetishes these races(especially white women and black men) that ends up creating a brain that finds its own people ugly

So in short, If you are of a certain race, ensure your kids consider that race to be beautiful through literature or counter media sources.

These kinds of questions only help the forces of globalization and centralization which in principle the sub is against.

I did mention 3 major immigrations out of India. First the gypsies, second the Caribbean indentured laborers and their the Indians to west in the last 50-100 years. If you consider the third, this group of immigrants is actually the most successful class of India. The reason they move to the west is because of the most aggressive affirmative action policies that are in mandated even in private colleges of India. Do you know who created the classifications for providing affirmative action ? The ex colonizer. Not trying to say India should not own up after many years of independence but the problem is we still have entirely colonial institutions, colonial definitions that describe our society.

A lot of the urban elite class is as western as Manhattan socialite. Mostly due to education and a strong communist influence on history textbooks for the last 70 years or so. The second most influential group that misguides history ? The Catholic Church which is also one of the largest landowners in the country.

Despite all this, if you ask any Indian (including many western elites in the country) if he/she want to live in India pre or post independence ? It would be post independence mostly because the economy has been better (albeit more socialist).

I agree that the Indians who come here turn left in the countries here. But if you remove immigration as an issue, you will find they are far right than an average white man. Indians support legal limited and merit based immigration. If democrats succeed in combining illegal and legal immigration then it results in Indians voting for them for the legal immigration but. If someone makes a disctinctiom between them, as did President Trump, you will see Indians tend to support them.

One more thing is that Indians come here to universities and that’s where they are often indoctrinated into being leftists. Parents are waking up to it now.

I’ll also add that increasing number of Indians tend to go back to India once they get older around late 45-50s. if they stay, it’s only for kids schooling and soon after kids complete schooling they move back. I graduated from a university here and a lot of my classmates alreadywent back.

I understand that position might not be popular here but I dare say that Indian immigration is adding to the talent pool unlike most others.

About the reason why Indian did not conquer the world before, I do not know of any Indian ruler that had an aggressive expansionist foreign policy. To a certain extent, I think that’s common to China too, which also had a strong naval base that could have potentially conquered some bastions or Europe.

My opinion is that the fall of Constantinople and the urge to spread Christianity as a counter weight to Islam spread western civilization across the world. At the time of the age of exploration, India was ruled by Islamic invaders and they were probably more powerful than the ottomans or the European rulers. After their fall, a lot of smaller empires resulted but no one could catch up the industrial strength that Europe built up between 1700 to 1800s.

Across Indian history, there are 3 major groups that left the subcontinent 1. The Gypsies (Roma people) with an unclear history 2. The early indentured laborers to Caribbean in British in early 1800s 3. The Indian Americans in the last century

Apart from these 3, most population stayed in India.

To add to that population, India often hosted refuge populations. There is along history of many tribes of Jews, Zoroastrians, Arabs and Africans who came or wanted to come to India. There is also the case that a lot of Europeans tried to make voyages to its land considering it is richer than their own back then.

India is not worse of at all now that what it was under the British. You might also want to look at British policies that used census to divide Indian society much like what they tried to do in Europe (supporting powers against French, German ….) to create infighting. You might also want to see Indian economy as a percentage of GDP 1) before the period of colonization 2) before Islamic invaders came in

Gandhi and later is what the west wanted to believe are representatives of Indian civilization. You can have them but that’s like saying Obama is the best representative of the western leadership.

There are much longer empires in India far more extensive and longer with more people under them than you might imagine. Take a look at Maurya, Chola, Vijaynagar, Maratha ….

When I think of it, the challenge is that America has been advertised and sold as a market, not a nation. It has a process of citizens becoming passive dependent consumers capable only of rage.

Even military servicemen usually talk of economic reasons to serve. So everyone wants a better bank balance not necessarily develop a spine of national character.

The challenge is to revive the great nation from the clutches of the market

The same problem in India is that people are made to think of themselves as spiritual and religious people without anything to do about politics.

A lot of friends who had “love” marriages can’t speak with pride about Jatt history to kids. They also have seem to find questions about what “love” really is. My answer ? It’s the biggest con job that Hollywood and TV shows like friends did to the world. Media/entertainment is the strongest weapon in American propaganda machine for foreign matters and academic education (history) is the strongest weapon for internal matters

I am a bit surprised that my critic of Christianity is supported here. To me, with my current knowledge, a lot of what the sub says about Jews does not make complete sense about them but rather the church and other evangelical religions.

E Michael seems like a thought provoking writer. Thanks for the suggestion.

Gandhi is the single most destructive person to India (note I did not say Hinduism). In an attempt to subplant the national movement that was going on under a semi united front of moderate Hindus and moderate Muslims against the British, he befriended extremists Muslims in a movement for installing a caliphate in Turkey. So under him, British Indian subjects, ie, Hindus and Muslims asking for independence from British wanted a autocrat in Turkey. Go figure. Muslims correctly saw him as a convenient political tool. Intellectual Hindus elevated him to become a Mahatma and Pakistan is the result. I wish every enemy of mine has a leader like Gandhi. There is a long list of his support for atrocities on non Muslims and non British.

I have read some Greek and Egyptian mythology. It has a similar tone to Indian mythology. Especially the Greek. I think part of the reason why church would not like whites to learn that is then a lot of the Greek gods and their stories is that much of that would seem more inspiring and worthy of worship that the crucifix and cheap guilt they have to offer.

I was interested in history too but to get paid well in India meant you either became a doctor or an engineer. When I start to read social science research it shocks me how ridiculous the level is. But you know what explains it ? A lot of foundations will create a fellowship paying out about 25k-150k a year if you produce …n number of research papers. The Ford foundation does that almost everywhere for Christian institutions. I suspect some similar foundation might have created an incentive for your teacher to promote research on select topics while shafting truth.

You are right about whites being self hating and self destructive. It’s true with the liberal Hindus as well.

You are right that people should stay and try to fix countries they are a part of. But maybe some are just broken beyond repair by an average person

I’ll suggest there is a time to fight and a time where it’s not feasible to fight. In India, the average person could fight about 35 years ago. Now it’s virtually impossible.

As a reference Imagine if democrats win for all elections for 30 years and are hand in glove with the second largest party which is the communists in the USA. Then I suspect even many patriotic, smart brave and talented people here will start looking for opportunities abroad, if they exist. Just as the South Africans are having to do currently.

Most Indian kids that come here are middle class whose family is aspirational through perspiration. I can see why you might feel they are prince/princess (middle class in India is used to having a lot of household help like maids...) but I don’t think they are privileged as such. My family is a group called Jatts. Some are Sikhs and most others are Hindu. No issues between them. I say I’m Hindu but I visit more Sikh places than Hindu ones. A lot of poor relatives are converting to Christianity to avail benefits that the church offers.

It’s not clear to me either how castes were defined. The Jatts were historically agriculturists, some say from Central Asia but I doubt that. Somehow, someplace britishers decided they were a martial race. This makes Jatts large part of the army which is the only pension paying job of the time. A lot of convenient mythology followed this classification. I suspect similar social engineering was done to create new caste groups by British for the case of Dravidian and many so called Brahmins groups as well.

So I have distant family members who fought in both World War I and World War II on the side of the British. One family member also fought for Japanese after losing to them as part of the British Indian navy.

I’m an Indian, and a nationalist. I do think Abrahamic religions, especially Roman Catholic Church and Arabian Islam are a bad things for any local identity. They are fundamentally inclined to expand as a global force and disregard nations.

So in the 3 Christian majority north eastern states, if you ask someone when did you convert to Christianity, they will say in the last 50 years. If you ask why, They will say that the reason they converted is that a lot of bad practices of killing people and cutting of their heads used to happen and can’t Christianity addressed that. Now, by historical records, there are tribal conflicts but I really don’t could not find any history of cutting heads or stuff like that. It’s pure fiction to convict all of them and their culture of a fictional if not exaggerated crime and then offer your cult as potential salvation.

Similarly in the south and north India, the church says that caste is a big problem and hence encourages conversion to combat that. The funny since the church converts people on castes, the caste I identity becomes more much stronger among converted groups.

When people say things like Zapotec civilization of MesoAmerica used to kill babies, I have my suspicions about how true that is. I would like to know how different Europeans groups all got converted and I suspect that is a violent history as well where innocent people were made to feel guilty of a crime they did not commit.

When I came to America, church groups were the first people in my life that asked me about my caste openly. I later learnt that An south Indian pastor in the church adjacent to university keeps telling them about how tragic his family experienced caste based discrimination in south India. As far as I can see it’s bullcrap, but a lot of young white/black kids then go to India to help the poor caste discriminated folk in turn encouraging them to convert. This is one of the best university’s in the country and someone coming from there to rural India gets a lot of unnecessary clout.

About church and immigration it makes sense to me why they want to support it. Most white people are if not already, trying to be secular. Very few sincerely believe church beyond the 20s or so. The illegal immigrant from South America is far more religious and the newly arrived North African is more keen to convert and come to Sunday mass than the native white population.

I don’t know about the machete thing. India is a large country. In large countries to an extent everything and it’s opposite both can be true at the same time.

And yes most elite media is disproportionately upper caste. But I don’t think it’s a conspiracy. They were first groups to learn English and that’s a significant advantage in the country. What suprises me is how eager these woke these upper castes really are. Just like most of Trumps virulent opposition is a liberal white man, the same for Modi. His most virulent opposition is a upper caste English speaking person

I don’t have a good plan as such. People usually tend to want to go back after they hit 50s.

The Jamaican, Ugandan, or other Indo Caribbean experiencs is actually good example to see what happens to a brown minority in a black majority. I want people to be more educated about these things.

The choice that Indian kids have is either struggle entire life with difficult job market, aggressive reservations in school for a low quality of life. Or come to west where people better respect your efforts and talents.

And no, the public that comes here is typically urban and educated. Both those checks mean that the people coming here are often hood winked to supporting the left back home. It takes attention and memory to see their hypocrisy.

Mild digression, apart from America which has a lottery, most other western countries have systems of merit for immigration. Trump tried to change the Lottery system but was predictably blocked by democrats who want illegal immigration to be treated the same or better than legal immigration. Since Trump efforts, Canada is seen as a good option for less legal headaches in immigration.

Where you guys are right now, feels like the 70s-80s in India. Things that could have been addressed easily at that time if a party stood up for it. But it has only gotten worse, incentivizing better people to leave. So please don’t give up. I had a choice of coming here, if the left ruins this place, I don’t think your kids have anywhere to go next.

The Hindu, like NDTV is run by communists. Don’t be surprised to see absurd connections between politicians and media company owners.

I agree we should solve our own problems in our own backyards. But What I feel is that the left learns quickly from its international counterparts. The right does not learn or even interact internationally.

Like a lot of intellectuals in the right here could not even bother to read beyond pseudo liberal Indian media. And likewise I don’t know any Indian intellectual that could even name dissident intellectuals here.

Issues are more congruent than what I thought it would be and if I have learnt know the congruence, it would have been easier to see through absurdities better.

Modi is not anti Hindu like others. He is a nationalist who puts country first, but I don’t see any hint of Hindu nationalism in him. Economically, I would argue Modi is to the left of Bernie Sanders.

While he has won 2 elections politically (and thank Gods for that), he has not yet tried to influence institutions. Most of them still hate him and and many are communists bastions.

After his second political victory, the left has decided to maintain a street veto that is popularized through international media.

The tactic he has had is to simply wait and watch. it’s worked for him in the past. We had Year long street protests, riots broke out when president Trump visited, separatist sympathizers even attacked the Red fort on Republic day and thrashed police officers. He stayed on mute.

Ultimately, the realization is that even if you are successful with having an individual, without institutions supporting that individual, their policy, legacy can be reduced to mere ink on paper.

The left understands that innately. It knows and talks of power through culture, institutions and changing the narrative of history to suit themselves.

The second biggest majority usually has the been the representative of all minorities. Even the ones it persecuted

So the left in India has the savior complex that the American left also does.

Immigration is not as big as an issue in India as America or Europe. Conversion is. Like they replace the national majority here by racial minorities who are more likely to vote for the global left while erasing a history, there is a concerted effort to convert people to religious minorities who are more like likely to vote for the global left.

That’s not to say that immigration is not an issue. During partition, most people of religion of peace who voted for a separate country stayed put. The new country exterminated it’s religious minorities pretty swiftly. Even now, when the Rohingyas were supposedly persecuted in Burma, they came crossed a Muslim majority country Bangladesh, skipped many Indian stated to Settle in Kashmir. Notice they did not cross the border to a Muslim majority state of Pakistan.

When America left Afghanistan, there were protests by Afghani students to encourage India to accept refugees in large numbers from there.
