Can anyone explain why anarchism is so entrenched in Portland?

It's just also a youth hotspot, so there are tons of apartments full of drug-riddled twenty-somethings

That probably explains the prevalence of anarchism there, then.

I would think so, and all of the old retired gang members. I didn't realize this at first, but they are successfully running legal weed out of the state to the Midwest. They hire you g kids from the streets to work for them, and they come away from the experience even more liberal than before, but also with a fighting anti-lawman attitude. There was a lot of that going on with the kids I knew.

That's really surprising. It is honestly easy to underestimate the impact of crime on issues like this and on the social fabric.
