It's just full of ideological and passionate but gaslit white people. The only way they are allowed to rebel is through killing themselves with drugs or advocating 'approved' rebellious ideologies. Anarchy has system approval. Under the right conditions these same whites would be revolutionary national socialists ready to clean their streets of human refuse and die for the 1000 year Reich.

I don't think they really understand anarchy or believe in it. They just sense something is wrong and want to act. They've been given a false sense of the 'problem', a trigger to react, and pre arranged 'solution'.

What I am wondering about is what makes Portland special out of all the cities in America. It seems to me that there's proportionally far more anarchists in Portland than elsewhere.

Portland is a weird place. There are people from all walks of life living there. Liberal normies, liberal weirdos, conservative farmers from the surrounding areas, retired gang members from 80's California, heat-wave migrants from Arizona trying to escape the desert, wannabe musicians from the Midwest galore, and lots of homeless folk. More homeless than I've ever seen anywhere, except for parts of California and Florida which were basically bum-towns.

Portland must be a favorite testing site for the elite. There are a lot of demographics represented in the Portland populace.

I really miss Lowami, a specific area/park. Caught right in the suburbs, a patch of old forest and running water. It's too bad Portland is a hotspot for weirdos and idealogical bootlickers. I enjoyed my time there.

Interesting. I didn't realise that Portland had a homeless problem too, I was under the impression that it was a successful, white collar, middle class city.

Honestly the entire west coast has tons of Homeless people, from Seattle to San Diego

The homeless problem in portland is epic. Ive never seen so many tents in my life. Also, downtown is full of drug addicts roaming around like zombies.

It is full of middle class white collar folk who can be described as being "successful". I worked for some awesome dog breeders out there, and I lived with a tech guru.

It's just also a youth hotspot, so there are tons of apartments full of drug-riddled twenty-somethings, neighborhoods slowly losing their value, and I think there are laws that protect the homeless, so that is why there are so many there.

Also, they built that city right next to a volcano that hasn't gone off. I can't understand it, even though Mt. Hood is gorgeous and it looms over the city.

That probably explains the prevalence of anarchism there, then.

I would think so, and all of the old retired gang members. I didn't realize this at first, but they are successfully running legal weed out of the state to the Midwest. They hire you g kids from the streets to work for them, and they come away from the experience even more liberal than before, but also with a fighting anti-lawman attitude. There was a lot of that going on with the kids I knew.

That's really surprising. It is honestly easy to underestimate the impact of crime on issues like this and on the social fabric.

It has major effects, and most are not being recorded.

That's a good question. I think Portland just got a reputation as a cool place for artsy and hipster type whites to go too. In fact the entire PNW is pretty damn white.

Years ago I watched a short clip by a historian of the 1960's. He said that the hippy movement was really a pro nature, pro simple living movement that was hijacked and turned into a degenerate drug culture.

Found it. I've always though that this guy was onto something. Definetly seems like a similar movement happened to Portland in the 90's and 2000's.

edit. The guy in the videos name is Dr. Thomas Fleming

Stop defending degenerate whites, most these radical leftists would happily see you dead.

The right conditions existed in Germany in the 1920's and the rise of NS gave rise to the original Antifa.

True. I was one of them only 6 or 7 years ago (never antifa but a dyed in the wool ideological bleeding heart liberal). Let's also not forget these are white people. I will go to the grave trying to save as many whites as possible from these dangerous and suicidal brain viruses. It's in our interest to convert as many as possible. Every radical antifa converted is one less throwing concrete milkshakes at us as we march.

Jim Goad has probably written about it. He was a skinhead but an anti-racist one who lived in Portland and got mistaken for a Nazi in the 80's by some anti-fa goons and beaten up -- least from memory I thin that's how the story goes. There's been political sub-cultures there for decades and intense rivalries. Probably has a lot to do with the University there.

So this stuff goes all the way back to the 80s and earlier? That would explain a lot. Although it's still curious how this took off in the first place.

That is an interesting perspective. Do you have more information on this? Did Antifa really only start in 2012?

What I am curious about is the reason for the prevalence of anarchism in Portland. Your post here seems to lie outside the scope of my question.
