This is it. This is the moment where Americans get to show if all their tall tales about how badass they are are true.

Some runs can be pretty long. The technology we have now is both very powerful, and in the hands of the people who are determined to use it to its full potential.

It's getting to the point that the possibility of the imminent return of the Earth Catastrophe Cycle is a bright spot. We don't yet know how bad this one will be, but I've noticed in the past year or so the MSM has begun mentioning some of it's features. One example is they're now admitting that past polar flips are associated with "great extinctions".
