Most people = covid doesn't harm most people.

That's not a good reason at all to ignore the pandemic. As I explained to the other guy, it takes only 1 person to spread it to a school or factory and get that establishment shut down. All those people who depended on factory work to pay their bills are now fucked, and thus the government is forced to pay them welfare until they can return to work.

You're putting the cart before the horse. Governments have disrupted society far more than the virus has, they've just used the virus as an excuse.

There's an argument for both. But without the virus, none of their schemes would have materialized anyway, so the blame is on Covid. For example, the government is not going to profit when important food factories are forced to close and hundreds of workers are now in isolation while awaiting money. It's your tax dollars being forced to pay for the virus.
