It would be better if the country was ruled by a King or military dictator. The people could look to a clear authority figure who can actually accomplish things. Then they could place clear demands to him.

A note on the events in Greece:

Before the rise of Golden Dawn, thousands, if not millions, of people protested outside the parliament against the widespread corruption. Then the police units alongside the members of the communist party beaten them with batons and crowbars to "save democracy". The same concept of "saving democracy" was later extended to attacking political parties like GD.
