Washington's anti-russian and anti-chinese hysteria is being met with relative coldness and sometimes open criticism. Washington's hegemony is being questioned ever more often in continental Europe.

This may be the most important legacy of Donald Trumps Presidency: He alienated the U.S.A. from its European Allies.

There are concrete reasons for Euro elites to be wary of American geopolitical and cultural pretensions, and we might be seeing the beginning of an interesting realignment.

We can only hope.
