Washington's anti-russian and anti-chinese hysteria is being met with relative coldness and sometimes open criticism. Washington's hegemony is being questioned ever more often in continental Europe.

This may be the most important legacy of Donald Trumps Presidency: He alienated the U.S.A. from its European Allies.

There are concrete reasons for Euro elites to be wary of American geopolitical and cultural pretensions, and we might be seeing the beginning of an interesting realignment.

We can only hope.

Europeans wanted to disentangle from the US and go their own roads anyways. Trump gave them a ''moral'' excuse

My guess is that the US is trying to push Britain into total colony status. Now that its out of the EU, its highly dependent on the US for international clout or trade benefits. Even though they're politely called a great power, Britain today is more of a regional power with a weak military. They could not stop Argentina from retaking the Falklands today.

The zionist/Atlantacist faction of the British elite went through with Brexit. They want even further integration with the US. They want to be free of any environmental or labor regulations. They had to abide by many standards when in the EU. Now they can turn Britain into a borderless shopping mall like the US with no labor rights, welfare or environmental protections.

Think Singapore, but with rape, prostitution, violence and pollution. Boris is opening the floodgates to Britain with this end in mind.

The British elites probably also wants to include the UK in a NAFTA like agreement. They'd get better access to US labor and goods. American big agriculture would wipe out what remains of British farming.

My guess is that this agitprop is a means to pressure the UK, more specifically any faction of the British elite that are hesitant about becoming an American fief. Or it could simply be a way to recruit a partner for misadventures in the middle east, East Asia or Eastern Europe
