This is the most obvious propaganda post, there's no reputation whatsoever that medieval history has some white supremacist fake history connected to it. This is seed planting poisoning the well (who's known for doing such things?!?! :OOOO), not a serious question.

There definitely is a ‘thing’ in British historical circles with medieval Europeans.being portrayed as bigoted. You can’t even say ‘Anglo-Saxon! in some paced things without some sheboon accusing you of excluding POC

that's not what is being referred to, they're saying that history is faked to seem more white and that non-whites are written out or have their achievements downplayed. when the reality is that non-whites weren't even in europe and if they were they were probably like 0.001% of the population as slaves or something.

These sort of questions have became sickeningly common in the last year or two, a shame for a sub that formerly kept up at least semblance of healthy debate.

Note that most of the active moderators are open communists.

Typical Reddit quackademics, writing walls of text with little to no substance.

    Wow! How presumptuous.

You may be interpreting the JC thing a bit too literally...

It's presumptuous to assume that because I like puns that I like dad humour. I'm not even a father (that I know of).

r/AskHistorians is run by the biggest faggots on the Internet. Since I'm an actual historian I wrote several posts on there that got a large number of upvotes, but I was banned because I made some innocuous post about whamen.

what advice do you as historians have for making sure that I am not accidentally consuming propaganda or white supremacist-inflected information?

Oh my god this is so sad. Read into that line just a little and you'll see that he is asking someone else to determine whether something is truthful or not AND he is virtue signaling any other leftist that might read his post to make sure they know "he is on the right side of things".

This nation is lost. It is unrecoverable. We will slowly sink into a mire of backward, restricted thinking and soliciting the "right" opinions of others. This nation is lost.

I love it when liberals pretend to understand our ideas. It's always such a ridiculous strawman.

What exactly is racist about medieval history? Are there any prolific thinkers, historians or texts within this time frame that espouse specifically a white supremacist world view?

Or is it just liberals crapping their pants over Norse/Viking culture?

    [–]nordmannenLegionnaire 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Pretty much everything in medieval history is a testament against their worldview, from ethnic loyalty to religious devotion and the never-ending struggle against Islamic invasions. Liberalism and its ideological offspring are rooted in the enlightenment, and the modern pop history cultists have nothing in medieval history that fits into their framework. This is why they have to actively rewrite history to inject their ideology into civilizations that would have enslaved or killed them had they existed in those times.

Lol while they literally admit 1619 project was completely made up to influence today's narrative.

Funny, I've had the same question about about books without leftist propaganda, which is much more common.
