Bruh. Telling America to pull out of Vietnam also saved the Americans. Just because one party is commonly accepted as the aggressor doesn't mean deescalation isn't a lifesaver for both of them.

Unfortuntely the opposite is true for what you are proposing. Defunding police or even just less policing of black neighborhoods leads to more deaths. Black's need lots of police to protect them from themselves. There's a reason things are the way they are. The proposed alternatives from the left that you call deescalation are liberal idealism.

Bodycams are great. I'm all for it and it looks like most police depts are as well since many have started using then. Supposedly the george floyd incident was recorded on bodycam. I cant wait for the trial. Since nearly all police on negro force is justified, I doubt these reforms are going to create your desired results.

Technically yes, but the alt right is lying to you about what that actually means. We're still going to pay police for their work, but we will relagate most of their myriad duties to specialized, better equipped services like we have today with CPS. If beat cops got a call for child abuse they'd shoot the dad, jail the mom for a decade, and leave the kid to rot. Police won't be expected to deal with every societal problem from drug addiction to mental health crises to homelessness to prostitution. We also won't be funding their military-esque armories. If you can't do the job with a taser and a service pistol, it's not a job for beat cops.

No, they remind me of the alt right. Zero tolerance for nuance, they just read a headline and run with their first impressions.
