They don't fucking exist, because current troonery is a combination of normalizing mental illness instead of treating it, normalizing perversion instead of shaming it, and social contagion for clout chasing. When one of those generations went openly trans, it's because they successfully passed the various gatekeeping checks that were in place to make sure that only the people who truly, genuinely had no other recourse in their lives took that step.

Their coping theories are pretty funny.

Gen X came up when the internet wasn't trying to convert gay men into mangled cosplayers. Common sense used to be common.

We came up almost entirely without the internet at all. Schools didn't really have internet until early-to-mid-90s and most of the lucky few who had internet at home had it through shit like CompuServe or AOL which was like a kinda-sorta-but-not-really internet.

It wasn't until I was well into adulthood that I was exposed to the darker side of the internet. Before then I was blissfully unaware of how completely fucked in the head people are.

I can't imagine growing up around this shit and being exposed to it in formative years. So glad I dodged that bullet.

Yep. The internet is final proof positive that mankind has no lower limit.

I rem the "computer" in our classroom was a TRS80 that you could write this infinite loop Basic program on

10 print "fuck you"
20 goto 10

and then execute it and the screen would fill up with fuck yous and we 8th graders would giggle.

Also the nudes people would bring to class were printed on a dot matrix printer and really low res....

They blame the AIDS crisis of the 80s for killing all the supposed genx gender specials but the oldest possible genx ers were 15 in 1980. All those kids born in the 70s were basically hitting puberty in the mid 80s or early 90s and likely weren't even affected since they weren't out there having sex. I'm on the tail end of this and even in my age bracket it was super uncommon to see someone "come out" as a teenager.

On top of that, this whole idea of "transgenderism" didn't really even exist at the time. There were some rare transexuals but the DSM5 wasn't released until 2013 so it was still considered "gender identity disorder" for many years. I grew up in a fully analog offline childhood. No one talked about this stuff. There are no genx transgenders because the concept was spawned from the terminally online Tumblr generation.

It really confuses these overgrown man children that it’s millennials and zoomers with such thin skin that they have identity crises the moment someone says hi to them. A problem older folks tend not too.

that's why they get so defensive over the attack "you know some gays don't make it their entire personality": they know they have no comeback to it, so they build these elaborate multidisciplinary theses ... that only work if you agree (and affirm, and undersign in triplicate) to all the ~40 sub-arguments

there were fights over "assimilation" vs. "separatism," or whether bi "counted," but they involved mostly gay/bi adults, rather than being entirely composed of college sophomores who wanted to bring their boyfriends simps into the LGBT Club (and outvote those retrograde fossils who thought you needed to be attracted to the genitals of the same s*x or want to transition: being queer is oh-so quirky and fashionable, like ADHD)

the radfems were also similarly college-bound, with a "department" of like 2 professors and a bevy of females learning that PIV was always rape and there were ... other ways women could love one another ... perhaps taught by a more experienced activist, yes, mm ...

AIDS is a pretty fucking funny explanation for how a population of 95% straight men supposedly disappeared.

It's both hilarious and fucking infuriating how they will lump T in with the LGB when it suits them (like claiming that the AIDS epidemic killed millions of mini-troons for whom there is no recorded evidence whatsoever) but then immediately stab them in the back over other things (sexual attraction, Stonewall, etc.).

Like, no, it was gay men who were dying in the AIDS epidemic. Gay. Men. Not "traaaaaans" simps or genderspecials. They did not exist. They only exist now in the form of these terminally-online mental children who are utterly consumed with their own narcissistic desires, something that has only been enabled via Social Media in the last 10-15 years. Before that they literally did not exist.

When you are steeped in a transphobic culture and surrounded by transphobic people, it's hard to even recognize that you are transgender in the first place.

Like always, they're just so fucking close but the delusion takes precedence. The real version:

When there are no "trans" influencers around speaking into your ear from social media all the time, it's hard to recognize that "trans" is a thing at all, let alone something you want to be for the social clout or fetishism.

You see, back in the ancient times of the 80s, people were so oppressed that they didn't have the bodily agency to realize that it was their destiny to get botched cosmetic surgery that renders them sterile and in chronic pain in pursuit of a sexual fetish

It truly was the age of barbarism.

[–]OuroborosTheory 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

ironically in the 70s the line was "you're either bi, or you're in denial": this was never applied to homosexuals (who'd flat-out say hell to the no), so there were fights that "bi" was becoming a fashion choice or a way to get your "wooo"-girl bachelorette party into the gay bar

funny how they also say EVERYTHING is socially-influenced so we need to keep a tight lid on Twitter and what Dr. Seuss books are available--everything except dysphoria, that is (I remember the CWC simps yelling how "she was coerced by internet trolls into proclaiming goddesshood, punching holes in walls to get to another dimension, and finally stuck her bent duck into Barb after withholding her senility meds and made her compare the dicking to Bob and her husband before that)

maybe these people had to take care of others than themselves and just didn't have the same amount of "me me me" factor to come out and get in everyone's faces.

I see a lot of them blaming Ronald Reagan, but was a lot of the AIDs mess down to St Fauci?

[–]jet199 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Even then, AIDS effected the gays not the 90% of straight cross dressers who make up modern troons.

Edit, also I think the indiscriminate buttfucking had a little something to do with the spread of AIDS, I can't see that being something Reagan or Fauci pushed.

I’m in the younger end of the age range of the Gen X cohort. You don’t see many Gen X in genderspecial mode because most of them are too busy with careers, kids, grandkids, worrying about saving for retirement and paying bills.

Our parents weren’t perfect, but most of them understood that raising a child meant preparing them for adulthood and its responsibilities. Also, that the idea of eternal childhood (let’s face it, many of the people we discuss here have some pretty bad Peter Pan Syndrome) was something to be looked down upon, not celebrated. Yet, nobody tried to make us grow up too quickly, and most of the ones who weren’t keeping up with the pack in the growing up department got themselves there when they saw themselves getting left at the side of the road by their peers.

You're not Gen X, you just identify as one.
