The internet is part of it. Most trans-identified people are not very likeable. They don't really have real life friends, a lot of them don't have regular employment, and the real world does not validate their delusions. As such, they spend a lot of time online, which means trans-identified people are overrepresented on all forms of social media. This is why you can go for years never even seeing a troon in the real world, yet they appear to be everywhere online.

They are also extremely loud about their troonery, and behave in a generally anti-social manner typical of people who are suffering pornography addiction and internet addiction (addicts are generally more neurotic, less agreeable, and less conscientious than non-addicts). Non-troons are more likely to simply click the X at the top right of the screen than to carry out an argument with a terminally online fantasist, the downside of which is that there is no real resistance to troons taking over LGB spaces (and all other spaces) and making it all about troon inclusion (i.e. enabling).

Since the internet is now where most people get their information, troon overrepresentation in every online space makes it seem like there are way more troons than actually exist, and that their views carry more clout than they otherwise would. This becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy as it informs people's ideas about the world, becomes the basis of policy, etc.

Maybe it's where I live but I feel like I see them more often now. Not often in a general sense but because most of them don't pass very well or at all I have noticed them out and about more than I used to.

The last time I went to central London I walked past at least 10 angry looking troons dressed like they were the mother of the bride.

You know that great big protest/celebration in front of Sydney Cloudflare that TRAs were going to organize? This is it. Only 4 people showed up. Woke Twitter isn't representative of the real world at all.

Late comment but i swear it's true.I'm going to be honest and say i'm a part of the official south park discord that has 40k people in it and i swear to you that you would feel like LGBTQ people were the majority of society since the most vocal people on the discord claims to be either trans or non binary. It's so bizarre.

Big Pharma wants more trans people. Because trans people need drugs and surgeries to live their delusions. So troons buy these drugs and surgeries, and Big Pharma makes more profits. On top of that, you have to walk on eggshells around trannies if you are afraid of upsetting them. More trannies means more people walking on eggshells, meaning society is easier to control. Not to mention the effects this ideology has had on language - the very tool with which we use to communicate with each other. Remember that sheep, cattle and donkeys don’t have a voice, so we can own them.

There is actually a psych drug that helps with gender dysphoria but doesn't have the profit margin of surgery and hormones. I don't see how anyone can trust a doctor in 2022.

To add to the big pharma issue with this. Not only do they want to sell drugs but they are using easily manufacturable drugs which are already on the market. Lupron has an extremely tiny market so low profits. From a marketing perspective they can't increase the number of people who need the drug but they can convince people to use it off label with no testing. The clinical trials are the most expensive part of drug development and they have convinced society to just overlook the testing phase on a drug which is known to be extremely dangerous. This allowed the customer base to multiply making the drug many times more profitable. Testosterone and estrogen are similar. No clinical trials just live action human experimentation.

You are right. I actually did find a published research into something related to trans brains and it was backed by a pharmacist company, not the university, a pharmaceutical company that deals in medicine related to the mind, the conclusion suggests subjects can benefit from a specific treatment, but it seems fishy that the treatment is a specific chemical which works on the brain, which is related to the field which the sponsoring pharmacy specialises in.

I was about to post the paper here as an exercise for everyone to scrutinise and we can all talk about the inherent things wrong with the research, but I lost it. I remember the pharmaceutical company was headquartered in Europe (I think Germany) at least.

Because it's morbidly interesting, it draws people's attention. Much like people obsess over horrible crimes or disasters despite their own chances of being involved being minimal.

The media has latched onto this as they realize it's a good way to garner views and therefore make money. Which is then picked up by partisan political actors as a way to motivate votes and donations to their party.

It's not much different than say the mass shooting issue, morbidly interesting, but you've a better chance of getting hit by a car on your morning commute or choking to death on your lunch than getting caught up in one.

Is it even that many? Afaik you pretty much have to have autism to have a genuine transsexual disorder. That's only 2.3% of the population, and 90% of them have no gender issues. Of those 0.23% remaining, autism already makes you more susceptible to the social contagion, which is the vast majority of "trans" people (even most AGPs are misled to think of themselves as such because of the social contagion). When you do narrow it down, it's so miniscule it should be irrelevant to the larger population, and you'll find most of us hate the trans movement for basically making us into a joke when we just want to live normal lives. The reason it's such a big deal is because it's trendy and hip and progressive, and it's a good minority for the socialist left to exploit.

[–]jet199 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Because trans are a trojan horse for a lot of loonies and bad people on the left to get what they want.

Laws are being changed so people can identify as whatever they want.

Men can access women's private spaces.

In Mexico they have started to allow people to identify as different ages, we all know the motive behind that.

In Australia some states have made it illegal to back out of having sex with a person because they are trans.

This is why we need to talk about this stuff. Laws are being made to accommodate crazy people and they are very bad laws. The people pushing know exactly what they are doing. Most queer theorists are pro-paedophile, the women as well as the men. The modern left is on the wrong path worshiping the most vulnerable, hated and excluded groups, we all know who the most hated group really is.

After infiltrating the schools for over 50 years they were able to groom a lot of kids.

[–]jet199 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Yep, now it's near 10% of kids who identity as trans or some dumb neogender. Not small numbers at all.

[–][deleted] 6 insightful - 2 fun6 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

As it becomes popular, you’ll see a much higher amount of the population identifying as transgender.

I think a lot of it is guilt tripping. Like there’s this huge fucking narrative of “if you aren’t validating a trans person every minute of every day they will LITERALLY kill themselves!! Especially the kid ones!!” And I think that’s enough to spurn people to care enough to make it stop.

Modern-Day Pascal's Wager:

If you pander to the snarts, the snarts will be happy because you pandered to them.

Meanwhile, reasonable people have better things to do with their time and will go about their business and not care enough to complain or laud your choice.

If you do NOT pander to the snarts, reasonable people have better things to do with their time and will go about their business.

The snarts, on the other hand, will scream so loud that the whole world hears them. Of humanity, and even among trans people, they are the loudest, whiniest, most spoiled, most entitled, most terminally online, most Harry Potter complex babies on the planet...and because of those things, if you do not pander to them, they will make it their personal mission in life to destroy you. Not only that, but it's directly their set of skills made by all of these things. The loud/whiny nature? That means they can be loud enough to make people hear them and make some people take their side, spoiled/entitled enough to not rest until they get their way. Their being terminally online means they'll FIND some weak link somewhere that can be used to hurt you, either by attacking you or being protected from the same assault themselves. Their Harry Potter complex makes them truly believe that they're not whining about you not giving them their way once- no, they're a legendary activist and forcing you to give them their way right now is a battle for civil rights on par with MLK, Gandhi...no, scratch that, it's a GREATER act for civil rights than anything they did, and 50 years from now they'll make statues and name high schools after them for their strength in destroying you and striking the greatest blow for equality in all of human history!

well that's for dysphoric trans people, those who feel a compulsion to remake themselves; they got kicked to the curb 2016 by what they called "tucutes," clout-chasing college students (and now parents) with a lot of Cluster B and constantly online (or in HR and IT)

[–]cars 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

It's because they're everywhere online. Many of them are NEETs and computer programmers financed by Twitter e-begging bucks, the Bank of Mom and Dad, and scammed disability money. They have all day to "own the transphobes" online and force tech companies to be more "inclusive".

When Tumblr banned porn in 2018, trans people went to Twitter along with the porn (which is very telling) and because Twitter allows them to interact with progressive lawmakers and professionals, gender ideology began to be taken more seriously by lawmakers.

BLM also funds lots of TRA organizations, so trans people's prevalence, especially post-2020, is in part due to them parasitically leeching off BLM, in addition to grooming lots of kids online during lockdowns.

Most "normies" who aren't on Reddit and certain parts of Twitter don't know much about gender ideology. The most they've ever had to interact with it is seeing an occasional headline and having to share their pronouns at work. This is good because this means a good chunk of the population is peakable.

Because of places like this.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

There are a few reasons why this is. One problem is that there are a lot of people without genuine gender dysphoria """identifying""" as trans or non-binary or some equally stupid shit, and because this "community" and everyone involved with them has been ordered not to "gatekeep" (gatekeep here meaning that people should actually meet the medical criteria associated with transsexualism before deciding that they are in fact, transsexual transgender). So now you have more than the legit people IDing as trans. It's no longer the overwhelming minority it was in the past. Now it's a trend, and because of their nature these people have to make their problems our problems.

On to the next, and most serious problem: TRAs are trying to medicalize literal children and convince the world that kids can be trans. So you got doctors prescribing horrible shit like puberty blockers, wrong-sex synthetic hormones, and performing life-altering irreversible surgery on children. Yes, this is actually happening. Naturally, this is absolutely horrifying to anyone with even the most basic sense of morality, so it naturally brings the whole trans issue more into the spotlight, which is why you hear about it more.

Thirdly, in the west we have a population where a large portion is addicted to the internet. We all spend wwaaayyyyyyy more time online than we ever did in the past, and when we do this we tend to form online personas that have no bearings in reality. Multiply this phenomenon with the fact that the majority of Westerners have some sort of social media account and a smart phone that keeps them connected at all times, then BOOM. You have an explosion of people identifying as something that has no basis in reality. These people don't care that it's literally impossible to change sex, we're all online and dissociated from the real world so why does it matter. The pandemic has only worsened this.

Fourthly, the headlines surrounding the trans issues are fucking insane. Males in female sports? Males in female changing rooms? Males getting female awards? Males pushing females out of their own spaces, and being called stunning and brave for it? When you hear things like this, how does it not grab your attention? Of course people aren't going to be able to ignore something so insane it makes you question what reality you're living in. These are not the bounds of a healthy society, and most people realize that. These troons force us to pay attention to them every time they violate basic societal safeguards.

This ideology has infected schools and universities. It's no longer a fringe thing. When I graduated high school eleven years ago, I never met a single trans person. Hell, I didn't even know what transgenderism was. Oh how I wish I could go back to those days. Now I have a 12 year old cousin who has various trans identifying friends at her school. She herself IDs as a """gender fluid lesbian""", whatever the hell that means. She also wants to start wearing a binder. She complained about Ron DeSantis shutting down a local club in the area because it had drag shows that allowed children. She is 12 goddamn years old. This the horrible reality we are living in. How can we not turn away?

[–]tyranicaloverlord 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Because most of the troons lurk online, and are men, and are pathetic human beings.

I'm somewhat conspiratorially minded, my thought is that 1) its a liberal/lefty cause, and thus gets a lot of amplification because of that 2) the world is facing a lot of real world problems right now that no one has very good answers for - crop failures, fuel shortages, housing shortages and focusing on a sideshow distracts people's attention away from govt failures.

[–]Newzok 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Like other people say, big pharma covert marketing. But also it's lumped in with the wokeness psy-op(this shit is suspiciously visible and all the corporations give lip service. The PR campaign must have had heaps of money flowing in to make as big of a dent as it has). The subject alienates everyone and breaks up communities(see the previously wholesome pride flag). If people keep squabbling about gender, race or other minor shit, they won't organise in any meaningful way.
