The kids stuff at pride, as well as in the school's is scary as fuck. There was just a queer dude from Twitter who was a teacher who got caught having sex with a 13 year old kid at the school. This hypocrite railed against conservatives for accusing libs of grooming.

That made me sick to my stomach. No wonder a growing number of parents want to homeschool their kids.

I’m also gay and I hate this trans ideology. And even without transgenderism, the LGB have definitely done a lot of damage. It’s gay men who are acting like animals at pride parades, it’s gay men who are going to drag queen story hours, it’s gay men who are having all this unprotected sex, and it’s same sex couples who are suing bakeries. Now, it’s usually straight women who take their children to drag events or pride events, and it’s also usually straight women who transition their children. But gay rights activists are enabling and encouraging this.

I used to be against the Russian LGBT propaganda law. Needless to say, I don’t oppose it anymore.

I hate to say it. I really fucking do. But I'm starting to understand where things like this are coming from.

Yep. Look, I believe people should be free to express themselves. I also believe that it doesn't harm children if they know that same sex couples exist, although it should be up to their parents to decide that, not the government. I'm not entirely sure what the extent of that law is, but I think the law only limits discussions of homosexuality in the public square, the media (except adult only media) and primary and secondary education. I think it's legal for Russian parents to teach their own kids that gay people exist.

You guys own pride, Monkeypox, and the bisexuals brought the world AIDS started by gays. There was a YouTube video I saw of a gay sex club owner where a dude who went there ended up in the hospital multiple times from all the diseases he got being permiscuous. It happens to straights too, don't get me wrong, but still.

      [–]RedEyedWarriorThe Evil Cishomo 10 insightful - 2 fun10 insightful - 1 fun11 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Straight people have a lot of issues, yes. But gay men are far more promiscuous. I maintain that sex between consenting adults in private should remain legal, but a lot of discipline can go a long way.

It's almost as if not every single homosexual and not every single Jew has the same opinion on everything. Which is news to people who live in echo chambers.

I'm gay but hell, I think even a big chunk of "LGB" people are also degenerates. Maybe I just notice it more than straight people because "LGB" tend to make their orientation their entire identity, but, I've never fit in with the "gay community" because it just seems to be one extreme kink after the next, a total lack of genuine romantic connection and love, a distaste for monogamy and sanity, and a drive to be as obnoxious and "out there" as possible. And modern liberals and the media just go along with it.

        I'm with you fren.

        [–][deleted] 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Accidentally ended up in the "pride" part of LA a couple weeks back and what was going on there was pretty fucking disgusting. Filthy degenerates.

All lobby groups attract groomers and psycho unfortunately.

It's weird how horrible and stupid trans people are now.

My mother knew a few trannies when I was a kid and they were all very good humoured and sociable. I wonder though if that's something doctors looked for when approving transition. Back then they likely turned down anyone without the mental strength to be ridiculed or would become isolated. Their strictness was one of the reasons the trans lobby created a backlash against gatekeeping.

I used to not really care so much. I was a pretty big supporter of LGB rights and surely the T was deserving of the same thoughtfulness, correct? Ha! Oh sweet summer child...

I know a lot of trans people in real life, as I have interests in a few subcultures that really cater to them. I have had terrible experiences with so many of them, at this point I just avoid them at almost any cost. There is undoubtedly a high percentage of mental health co-morbidities that comes along with "transgenderism", and it is not something I need to make room for in my life at all.

Also it makes no sense. No, you are not born into the wrong body, no you do not have a gendered imaginary soul, that's not how any of this works. I am deeply disturbed at the experimental butchery that are sex change operations, the high rate of complications and life long medicalization, and the utter horror of transing children.

At this point the whole agenda seems to be fueled by pornsick men that are either pedophiles or happy to provide a shield for pedophiles, and lost and impressionable youth that are being preyed upon. It seems to be a bit different for female-to-male trans, as we can look at the social contagion aspect and the desire to be different and cool.

At any rate, I don't like it at all, I think it's evil and insane, and I can't wait for this fad to be over. I agree in that they are not asking for equality so much as special rights, and that's bullshit.

The Q is pretty fucked in the head as well. Why would anyone want to label themselves as that? That's all this shit is, is labels. Don't even get me started on their attempts to colonize English and Spanish, redefining words. Drives me nuts.

I resonate so much with this. I never want to be around a self-proclaimed trans or "non-binary" person or their supporters ever again because of my shitty experiences with the ones I've met. Biggest fucking narcissists on the goddamn planet.

I'm glad you see the fags for what they are. But people like me warned those who wanted to 'support rights' and 'give thoughtfulness'. Our words fell on deaf ears. And here we are.-

        [–]BoxerFrogs 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I know how you feel. I was pretty accepting of trans stuff, I was even beginning to open up to non-binary because some friends claimed to be. Then they all decided I'm transphobic (without me ever saying anything of the sort) and tried to ruin my life. It's a tale as old as time. So the pendulum swung real quick.

I pity the, like, 5 real trans people who are just going about their life and not making a big deal out of everything. They're coo'.

        We didn't give them rights.

They already have exactly the same rights as everyone else.

They want more rights so they have the right to command you what to say and do or you get punished by the government.

(Unless you live in Canada where that is already the law)

My opinion is these people all have a cluster b personality disorders. The guys all have sexual fetishes and risk becoming predators if indulged. The women are mostly self harming. They are are happy for abusers to use them as a trojan house so long as they get what they want, none are innocent, they are all complicit.

        [–][deleted] 30 insightful - 5 fun30 insightful - 4 fun31 insightful - 5 fun -  (2 children)

Literally the most narcissistic "community" of the modern day in the west. Seriously, I cannot even think of a single other demographic that demands this much catering, this much reality-denying attention. Most of the trans people I have met have terrible relationships with their families, and are soooo self-centered it's nauseating. There's probably a pattern there, somewhere.

I've never seen a group that's been allowed to trample on other people's rights like this, and for it to be okay, even celebrated. You are not allowed to question these people. Hell, look at Reddit! They'll ban TiA, because you're not allowed to question or criticize the Holy Trannies, but they're perfectly fine with subs like DykeConversion - subs that (no shit) are centered around raping lesbians to make them straight.

Threatening and harassing people in the name of transgenderism is perfectly a-okay! You wanna threaten JKR, a beloved children's author, with death and/or rape? Not a problem!!! You wanna dox her? You wanna encourage others to hurt/kill her and her family by posting her address along with an instruction manual on how to build pipe bombs?? As long as you do it for the transgenders, that's perfectly okay by Twitter's standards! All my ex-friends seem to be unbothered too, because how DARE that stupid old bitch open her mouth in the first place!!!

Fucking A. I feel like I'm living in a coma.

I think Ray Blanchard had it right with his characterisation of two types as that is not only supported by research, it also explains a lot of what we actually see when we look at the behaviour of MTF. I think the social contagion theory explains FTM, and fully believe that the numbers of FTM will be minuscule in ten years as the social contagion roulette moves on to other things (we’re already seeing socially contagious pseudo-Tourette’s syndrome taking off).

My major problem with the theory of transgenderism as supported by Stonewall et al is that it is entirely dependent on on unfalsifiable beliefs about the wrong mind being in born in the wrong body, which is remarkably similar to believing in a soul, which should never be necessary as an explanation for anything that impacts public policy especially in education and women’s rights. If they were confident in their beliefs they wouldn’t oppose any research that runs the risk of disproving them, but they aren’t and as such they move to block all attempts to research the subject and until recently that included capturing health outcome data (thankfully the NHS will now be collecting solid follow up on all trans patients for research purposes).

This is why i don't understand how left wing atheists can mock those that have a "Strong feeling"that there is a God because everything "feels"like it was design, but in the same breath believe a guy that thinks he's a woman really is one because he "feels"like he's one.It doesn't make sense because if transgenders were really born in the wrong body then it'd be proof of a soul because there's no way a genetic mutation can give someone the wrong brain.

        [–][deleted] 14 insightful - 7 fun14 insightful - 6 fun15 insightful - 7 fun -  (3 children)

Have an ex-friend who was a self-proclaimed """skeptic""", and believed that the notion of god is utterly ridiculous but of COURSE the transgenders are heckin' valid and don't you dare question them!!

        [–]Datachost 12 insightful - 1 fun12 insightful - 0 fun13 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

The early 00s crop of skeptics can essentially be split into two camps, those who were skeptics out of a sense of genuine conviction and those who went along with it, because it was the liberal position at the time. People like Dawkins can be put into the first camp, the second camp is people like Dillahunty, Myers, etc.

        [–]ClassroomPast6178 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Matt Dillahunty and PZ Myers are two of the most annoying people.

Both of them were desperate to ride the coattails of Dawkins, Dennet, Hitchens and Harris, but I suspect when it comes to Myers he’s just not clever enough to make it in Dawkins’ academic footsteps and Dillahunty didn’t know how to deal with his new found fame and adoring fans and so threw his lot in with Atheism+.

It’s a shame, the early days of Dillahunty’s show were entertaining and informative, as were the early days of Pharyngula (before the Thunderf00t incident, which was hilarious).

I used to be a "skeptic". These people are pathetic. The Skeptic CommunityTM on YouTube is dead and gone because they kept doxxing each other and exposing their fetishises to their audiences. For instance, I was a fan of Jeff Holiday until he doxxed people, and heard that he has a dildo collection in sight of his step son and let’s his wife cheat on him with another woman.

        [–]SMCAB 13 insightful - 2 fun13 insightful - 1 fun14 insightful - 2 fun -  (7 children)

Left wing is synonymous with hypocrisy and being disengenious. Their entire way of thinking is based on heartstrings, which, for all intents and purposes, usually lead to bad decision making. I don't know many leftists that can interject logical thinking into their emotional decisions.

        [–]ClassroomPast6178 18 insightful - 1 fun18 insightful - 0 fun19 insightful - 1 fun -  (6 children)

Oh do fuck off. It’s entirely possible to be a rational lefty and believe in evidence-based policy. Just because the fringes of the left and right have lost their bloody minds doesn’t mean that the moderates of both sides have too.

There’s plenty of irrational shit on the right.

        [–]RedEyedWarriorThe Evil Cishomo 11 insightful - 1 fun11 insightful - 0 fun12 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

There’s plenty of irrational shit on the right.

As a right winger, I can confirm this. A lot of right wingers are white supremacists. Nothing wrong with preferring your own race. However, there is everything wrong with believing that a certain race is the best race on the planet, when that particular race consists of the worst offenders of supporting neoliberalism, transgender ideology and degeneracy. Support for transgenderism is highest among white liberals. And white liberals are the most anti-white group of people on the planet. Not as obnoxious as Asian liberals or black supremacists, but white liberals are certainly the biggest threats. I cannot respect a race when a large segment of its population hates its own race.

Also, a lot of right wingers are against lockdowns and vaccine mandates. And I agree with them. Lockdowns are inhumane, and people should have a right to refuse medicine or products they do not want. But a lot of these same right wingers support the police. Even though the police enforced lockdowns and mask mandates. Even though police have arrested people for criticising liberal ideologies in the UK, Germany, France and Canada. Even though the police separate divorced fathers from their children. You don’t have to hate the police, because there are a lot of good cops out there. But a lot of cops are horrible people, and a lot of other cops are pathetic. I’m not going to blindly back the blue just because leftists hate them.

And crazy as the left are, there are a lot of sane leftists out there. In fact, the left were the sane ones when George W Bush was in power, while the right were losing their minds.

        [–][deleted] 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

There’s plenty of irrational shit on the right.

        Totally agree with you there.

It’s entirely possible to be a rational lefty and believe in evidence-based policy.

I'm not so sure about that. The only people I know who are still liberals don't follow multiple news sources. They only get the liberal version of facts, like with the "Don't Say Gay Bill." Garbage In, Garbage out. Their framework of reality is at least partially based on propaganda.

        [–]Newzok 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I think the point he's making is that left is not the same as liberal. There's a false dichotomy there and the media seems to cater to partisan subjects rather than actual political issues, whipping everyone up into a frenzy rather than finding common ground. I think a lot of us here can be described as anti-woke left, center-right or some other nuanced leaning.

        [–]SMCAB 7 insightful - 5 fun7 insightful - 4 fun8 insightful - 5 fun -  (0 children)

When you're generalizing, which I was, everything I said was correct.

And you can fuck off too, kindly.

        [–][deleted] 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

        Exactly.

        [–]RedEyedWarriorThe Evil Cishomo 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Because a lot of left wing atheists are not really atheist. They’re just a group of pathetic fedora wearers who want to make fun of Christians, and occasionally Muslims as well, when they’re not simping for Islam. Muslims would throw stones at those fedora wearers because Muslims don’t play with that shit. Anyway, those fedora wearers follow woke cults, so they do believe in a godless religion of sorts.

If it's trans, I don't have a problem. They're just people with a fucked-up bit in their heads, who are fully aware that it's fucked up and are trying to live with it the best way that they can. For some, that's dressing a certain way. Others go a bit further, and seek the degree of medical remediation that they believe will help them.

Troons and snarts, on the other hand, have nothing but my contempt. They're a bunch of degenerates indulging their porn-fueled fetishes, sexually predatory criminals looking for a new angle of attack, and pathetic losers who think that switching is the key to easy mode in life (especially applies to athletes).

The former want to be treated like people and nothing else, and I'm willing to grant them that courtesy; you live your life, leave me to live mine, and we're all good. The latter demand worship and the instant, unquestioning accommodation of their every whim (just like any other narcissist), and I wouldn't piss in one's mouth if it was dying of thirst at my feet.

        That's the same as mine.

All people deserve equal rights. At the same time, once a certain group makes it clear they believe they deserve special treatment as their equal rights, people deserve the right to call them out for this and refuse them.

Well, as they say "trans rights are human rights." Except they think that should include trampling on everyone else's rights. That's what the problem is. I think they should have the same rights as anyone else. But being able to take over female spaces is not a right. Being able to control how you're perceived and how people talk about you is not a right.

I get that side of it too, which is why there needs to be informed consent for these procedures (as well as any other cosmetic surgery, genital related or not). But if someone really wants to do that to themselves, who am I to stop them?

But it is partly genetic. The reason we have so much sexual deviancy today is because Christians suppressed this behavior which forced these people to act hetero and reproduce. In other words, Christianity causes the increase of genetic predisposition for sexual deviancy while liberalism causes a decrease by allowing these people to stop reproducing.

            [–][deleted] 7 insightful - 2 fun7 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

This modern iteration is way worse, brought on by porn on phones accessible at any time, and the school systems. University level courses teaching queer theory shit.

            That is true.

Ever notice how pervasive homosexuality is in countries like Saudi Arabia and Pakistan even though those countries have the harshest laws against homosexuality?

Well, I don't know that it's homosexuality (or genuine bisexuality, for that matter)-- more like what inevitably happens when the sexes are kept strictly-segregated. Then the straight guys use each other as an outlet. Which may be part of the reason why they're so hostile to same-sex sexuality in these cultures: for heterosexual men, those experiences aren't gonna be good ones, any more than the opposite-sex version would be if they were gay. So they assume that's the OBJECTIVE reality of sex between men. Instead of realizing it's just because this is literally unnatural and wrong for them. Not for everyone.

Porn addicted , ultra narcissistic , racist, homophobic, delusional mentally ill failed men/women. Many of them were incels before transistioning. Also, some of them are also dangerous groomers and pedophiles.

            I pity them, actually.

Sex is based on biology, and it cannot be changed. So transgenderism is a sham. I don’t hate transgender people, but I know they are not the sex they are pretending they are.

I used to support transgender rights a few years ago. I was a teenager when I first heard about transgenderism from watching South Park, and I thought trannies were weird. And I was right. Then I looked into the topic further, and I felt bad for transgender people. Also, I was slowly coming to terms with my homosexuality, and because gay rights activists are simps for transgenderism, I thought it was only natural that I’d respect transgender people and go along with their delusions. I also got a D in biology in my Leaving Cert, my final exams in secondary school.

Then came 2015. Gay marriage was legalised in my country (Ireland) and in America. Suddenly, Ireland passed a law that allowed people to legally change their gender just by filling out a form. No surgery, no hormone supplements, and no change of behaviour required. Initially I supported this law, because I was told that a lot of trans people could not afford surgery. Then it occurred to me how dangerous this was, because now you cannot tell who is male or female anymore without asking invasive questions. Trans people in America became insufferable and it started spreading over here, because Irish people consume American media and products. Also, a 52-year-old man in Canada abandoned his wife and seven children so he could live as a 6-year-old girl. 6-year-old girl. And the LGBT media were fine with it. I condemned this on Reddit, and I got criticised for it.

2016 came. I met a trans person and we became friends. He appeared cool in person. But his Facebook page was just him ranting about how he hates his family and was stilling whinging about how homophobic and transphobic Ireland is, even though we legalised gay marriage by popular vote. 62.1% voted yes, that is a high margin in our favour. And not all opponents of gay marriage are homophobic. Anyway, we drifted apart. I continued reading more articles about trans people being crazy or hypersensitive and I lost my support for them. Then I came across Blaire White's videos, and he said a lot of sensible, common sense statements and arguments, so I continue to support trans ideology, but at least it was to a lesser degree. But it wasn’t long before I grew tired of how vapid Blaire is, how he starts fights with people over things he himself overreacted to, and the male features became noticeable. Which is fine, but it just goes to show time and time again that biology is real.

Anyway, transgender people became louder and more obnoxious. LGBT activists were demanding that children should be allowed to get sex changes. LGBT activists were also shaming people, including homosexuals, who refused to sleep with transgender people. And Trannies were demanding laws making it a crime to not go along with their delusions. And don’t get me started on this non-binary shit. By 2019, I was done supporting trans ideology. I began opposing it. I also watched that Mister Metokur video, which reaffirmed my observations that western society has fallen into the abyss.

Do I hate trans people? No. Yes, they are psychos but what can you expect? I blame society for going along with their delusions. I see Blaire White as a man, and Elliot Page as a woman. Because it’s true. In fact, the gay community has a lot to answer for, because we elevated this transgender ideology to the point of societal acceptance. And now gay spaces are being erased because of this ideology, and it serves us right. We brought it on ourselves. It makes me embarrassed to be a gay man. Depressingly, a lot of young gay teenagers are being told that they are trans, and they are taking hormone supplements that poisoning them and hindering their natural growth, because you’re not allowed to tell teenagers who are questioning their gender that they are not trans. Those gay kids will grow up, de transition and be miserable because older gay people let them down by simping for this insidious ideology. So yeah, I believe that the law passed in Hungary last year is karma for us.

            [–]Newzok 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah it's a bit of a bother really. It always was the weird bit on the fringe of the gay community. It's just insane how visible this tiny minority has become, it's completely out of proportion. I also really have a distaste that it's taken over fucking everything gay related media wise and on the scene. As if gender bending is what we're supposed to do and masculinity is something to be frowned upon.

The coming detrans population will be interesting to witness, but like I've posted before, I hope it won't tarnish the gays and lesbians when it goes down. It's so funny, trans seems related to gay stuff but really it's quite a different beast. The stereotypical camp persona from previous decades has really muddied the waters, both for us and the straights.

            [–]lunarstrain 18 insightful - 2 fun18 insightful - 1 fun19 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

            As a concept, I don't like it.

I think it's stupid and medically irresponsible, we already know the detriment caused to people exposed to opposite sex hormones through PCOS and intersex conditions. Hell, even the women who doped up with anabolic steroids in the past showed similar, albeit more plentiful health issues. That's not even talking about the genital surgery which they have enough data on to know there's a high complication rate. Calling it "experimental science" is just a cover for malpractice and both pro- and anti- sides are guilty of this.

The social elements are incredibly grating and repugnant to me. I'd handle it better if I could treat it like a religion and not have to follow their rules when they're not present, but they've concocted such a sob story that people genuinely believe I'm enacting violence by not playing along when they're not even there to witness. This has actually been a driving factor in me learning a gendered language because you fundamentally cannot squeeze any of the nonbinary horse shit in.

The people from my experience have been mostly insufferable but there have been some that were genuinely nice people and that toys with my emotions and sense of guilt. I hate feeling resentment towards them because of their choices, it's like it'd almost be better if they were all assholes.

Ultimately if it is a real psychological condition, I wish the medical industry would stop milking them of all their money and actually treat the root cause.

            [–]Fckedbygawd 16 insightful - 4 fun16 insightful - 3 fun17 insightful - 4 fun -  (0 children)

They're the same as furries. If they want to dress up as something they're not then that's their business, but keep it away from kids, don't force other people to pretend that you're anything but what you were born as, if someone says they aren't into it leave them alone, and you don't get any special privileges for feeling special.

No one with XY chromosomes should be allowed into a woman's only space, even if they identify as a tampon.

Surgery is just doctors profiting off the mentally ill. It would be like a tattoo artist saying "yes I'll tattoo tiger stripes on every inch of your body" to an 18 year old who legitimately believes they're a tiger. Once you permanently alter your body there's no healing from your delusions.

            [–]CreditKnifeMan 16 insightful - 3 fun16 insightful - 2 fun17 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

Everyone deserves the same rights. Individual rights.

Individual rights should necessarily have negative obligations; no action is required by others for another person's rights.
The individual can do as they please; provided their action does no harm to others.

Western values are predicated on individual rights with negative obligations.

Negative obligations are also consistent with natural law.

Conversely, totalitarian societies often impose "rights" with positive obligations.

An obvious and relevant example of a positive obligations is forcing another person to use specific pronouns, etc.

It is amoral to force a subjective obligation upon one person for the benefit of another.

It's easy to see how the concept of positive obligations can get out of control.

For example safety: How safe is safe enough?

It's understandable that certain requirements should exist for manufacturers, where some measure of safety should be designed into a product/process.

Deadly amusement park rides should not be allowed, etc.

However, the banning of firearms is a positive obligation law. Amoral.
Someone is denied the natural law right to self defence, because someone else is frightened by the things they see on TV, etc.

The owner of the firearm has a responsibility to safely own self defense property, and will be held liable in negligent circumstances.

Cars are inherently unsafe. Should cars have a 1 ft thick bumper cushion on the front to reduce injury?

Should the cushion be thicker??? 2 ft?
            5 ft?

Where does a positive obligation to the safety of others end??? It's impossible to achieve.

The answer is personal liability consequences in a society of negative-obligation individual rights.

This ensures individual rights, and individual responsibility.
            Easily defined equal rights.

            Edit:.

If an informed adult wants to chop off their parts, then that's their right.

No one has an obligation to treat them in any particular way.

Imposing radical cultural views on children should be abolished. Children who are forced into the "education" system are not consenting adults.
They are prisoners of political/economic circumstances.

Children can look into these issues when they are adults, and decide for themselves.

            [–]Cass 16 insightful - 1 fun16 insightful - 0 fun17 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I think they're very mentally ill. I think they're like those people who feel like they have 3 limbs and want to chop one off to feel better. I think that's how they should be treated - therapy etc etc and leave the limb cutting as a last resort. I don't think we should play into their mental delusions. I don't think that's helpful. For those people I only feel pity.

I do think nowadays most trannies are not really trans, but they're autogynephiles, it's a sex thing, it's a social pressure thing etc I mean I doubt they experience any of the mental suffering real trannies experience. Those suck and they can fuck right off.

And it's not just trannies. Frankly, the whole goddamned rainbow is shit.

I'm really very tolerant, I don't care if a guy wants to wear a dress, call himself Claire, or have is junk turned inside out. But don't ask me to believe he's really a woman, because he never will be. I can indulge the fantasy to a certain extent (using assumed name etc.) but that's a courtesy reserved for people who aren't assholes.

I will never accept an affirmative duty to conform to someone's delusions, defined as "irrational belief in something that's objectively false". There's no more "trans" than there is a "Flat Earth".

As for their "rights", the whole concept of civil rights is based upon non-discrimination because of immutable characteristics, such as race, natl.origin, sex and disability. Since no one is "born trans", we're left with behaviors, lifestyle choices and 'beliefs', which don't rise to "protected-class" status.

The sane ones are just like you and me. The batshit woke ones are basically Saira Rao with a dick. I don’t care where they piss but if a trans woman is beating the other contestants by a significant margin in a sport where the difference is usually a tiny fraction of a second, that’s a sign that something is up. Basically all I care about is whether they’re harming other people.

I don't really care about the average transgender joe but don't expect me to call you by your pronouns. They may believe they are women, but that doesn't mean they are actually women. I think they are mentally ill, probably.

I think adults should be allowed to transition but not kids. The trannies who push this shit to kids under the basis of "education" are truly disgusting. I have quite loose morals but anything that involves hurting kids is where I draw the line.

I feel like the average joe for having this opinion, but according to reddit and this new-age "woke" culture, I'm apparently a transphobe and the worst human ever. So the takeaway from this is, don't live by reddit standards. Redditors are notoriously pedophilic anyway so why live by their standards?

            [–]Smarterthanlastweek2 10 insightful - 2 fun10 insightful - 1 fun11 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

They're fucked in the head, clearly. They want to walk around in dresses and call themselves "she", whatever, we make exceptions for the obviously mentally ill.

The real problem is the people saying they are legit and normal and actually woman, and (this is the big part) shoving this shit in our kids faces and telling them they can be whatever they want.

A life without meaning is pretty shit, and the greatest source of meaning for more people than anything else is their CHILDREN. The path to parenthood is already fucked up enough with the abortion industry dehumanizing children, the media promoting meaningless casual sex and the hedonistic "hookup culture", college costing an arm, leg and one testicle, decent jobs that don't require a degree getting sent overseas or automated, and housing prices sky high to make it almost impossible to start a family on the jobs that are left, we don't need delusional acidemics telling men they can be women and vice versa and screwing up the prime family starting years trying to "find themselves" or, worst yet, fucking up their reproductive systems with drugs or CUTTING THEM OFF with "reassignment" surgery!!!

REAL WOMEN who went fucking crazy in their 20's and racked up a huge body count are having trouble finding men to settle down with in their 30's. Some female impersonator who was feminine looking enough and had a convenient hole carved into him to degenerates to treat him like a cum dumpster in their teens and 20's are going to be finding out no one wants them when they hit middle age.

I have mixed beliefs on the matter.

For me, trans people who are open and honest about who/what they are and are willing to accept the consequences--good and bad-- of being trans and everything that comes with it are OK in my book, for the most part.

The ones that are honest with their potential lovers about their anatomy, sexual appetites/fetishes, and beliefs about gays and lesbians are OK. It try to have a "live and let live" ethos when it comes to consenting adults.

I'd go further and say that if more of them recognized that what they are is something utterly incomprehensible to most people, and that them being trans is likely to be a source of constant struggle even on the best days, then I'd respect them more. Though not always to the same degree, think of all the different groups of people today that still don't have widespread acceptance in many places, such as homosexuals, atheists, members of minority religions etc. These groups by and large had to accept that there was no Brave New World where they were 100% accepted. At-least not in this lifetime. The trans community needs the same reality check. Accepting that you are not going to be everyone's friend is like a child's lesson.

If they could loosen up about about their mental health melodramas that would be great as well. I have diagnosed OCD and it's been a source of varying degrees of depression, anxiety, and panic throughout my life. I've mostly learned to manage it with medication and counseling and live life on my terms. People with mental struggles should get compassion, but firmness as well. Letting people languish in a mental prison for fear of offending or triggering them is only ever a temporary fix that often goes awry.

That's where the line is drawn for me. If you are honest, accepting that you are different in a way that most people simply don't understand, and aren't deceitful to friends and lovers, you are fine.

The ones that are devoid of personality, endlessly obsessed with their sexual fetishes and appetites, vindictive and hateful to their own families and friends, demand people be punished even if they made an honest "mistake" and misgendered them, crybully about their mental health traumas and then laugh at or ignore other peoples struggles are making me really sad on the best days, and very angry on the worst.

One of my best friends is trans. I was almost engaged to her, actually, before the whole trans thing started and "she" became a "they". Now shes on hormones, and got her breasts removed, and doesnt want anything to do with being a woman anymore. I explained that I dont want to date her anymore and she was.. well understanding enough. Tbh it broke my heart but that was years ago and Ive moved on and I see her purely as a friend now.

Theres a lot of different types of trans people so its hard to make a sweeping statement covering them all. I dislike a lot of them. Most others rub me the wrong way but I figure its their life (thats where Im at with my ex). A few I respect, the ones that genuinely are the 0.01% or whatever of people that actually ARE mentally ill enough that life as the opposite sex is better. But that type of trans person isnt really around much anymore.

I think most of them are hopping on the bandwagon cause its the new "thing" to do. Theyre stupid and will pay for it for the rest of their lives when the phase passes, but its not my place to judge them in the end, so I dont care. Some of them, specifically the MtFs that are pushing the limits, frighten me. They are genuine predators trying to get into womans spaces.

I hate the movement itself more than the people involved. Most are getting swept up in this new age ideology of "genders dont exist bend the rules". Its incredibly harmful and I am worried for the millions of teenagers watching entire friend groups going trans all at once.

They can be as trans as they like but they have to understand they'll miss out on things. They aren't the opposite sex so they're not entitled to their spaces or competitions.

I think looking at it as anything other than a brain/body mapping issue is wrong. We can pity you and help you find the best solution for yourself but you're not not my responsibility to placate. Personally I don't think this solution is what's currently being done and that it does more harm than it helps. But I also don't know what would be better other than more investigation into seeing if it's similar to body integrity identity disorder where there's a possible link with grey matter. If you can fix the mapping issue you fix the problem. We just don't know how to do that yet.

I know a guy who's a tranny, who clipped his dick before it became trendy. As far as I know, he went through the years of therapy and shit before he announced that he wants to pretend he's a lady. And I'm pretty sure he just wants to live his life quietly. I've got respect for him and I'll call him "her" and use his changed name if I see him. After all, if you legally change your name to "Zarax, King of the Universe", I'll use it since it's your legal name.

That said, he'll never be a woman and I'm not going to go around pretending he is. Modern day tranny faggots who intimidate people on the internet, rape actual girls in their washrooms, moderate Reddit, etc. can all go straight to hell.

I should clarify; I'll call him "her" to his face, not in other situations. Sure, I'll pander to his mental illness because I don't want to drive him over the edge. Same as not bringing up to a person with Alzheimer's that they've already told me the same story six times in the last ten minutes.

Anyway the guy's only a passing acquaintance and the last time I saw him and said "hi" was probably 3 or more years ago, so it's not like I have to spend a lot of time indulging him.

Well, some are genuine but the big bloom of the last decade is entirely a trend. And it affects people on the spectrum and others with body issues, who should get treatment, not surgery. The pronouns thing can go fuck itself. For how entitled they act online, most are timid as hell in real life. I resent how it's taken over gay events, largely by media manipulation.

I personally think giving them any rights was a mistake.

That's a pretty shitty perspective but it does make sense only if you look at it from their framing that giving them rights means living in a complete fantasy.

They need rights such as being free from violence etc but they say stuff like being polite and respecting their new name and pronoun actually is not good enough if you yourself don't believe it and only do it to be polite.

I know the whole idea is that you're not supposed to scrutinize people's identities, but I continually try and fail to rationalize the trans phenomenon. Subverting gender norms is great, but now I'm asked to accept that each gender has a distinct "feeling" to it, and that trans people somehow know theirs doesn't match. But surely you'd need to experience both to know whether yours is wrong. And where does the feeling come from? Why don't I feel like my gender, if it's supposedly such an intimate part of who you are? I just feel like a person.

There are just too many unanswered questions and contradictions for me to respect the ideology very much. But I keep those thoughts to myself.

I don't like the movement that seems to have been hijacked by larger political agendas like Marxism. I don't like the midwit NPC normies that are too afraid to even THINK about asking questions. However I pity the average trans individual going through what they're going through. There is no doubt to me it is a tough experience... but I can assure anyone it is not because they're not "accepted", but rather that they have a inherent insecurity and it makes them extremely sensitive individuals.

If someone has a wound and you touch that wound, they will scream in pain, but this doesn't mean that touching is something that is harmful to everyone else. We're living in times where these wounded individuals are demanding that we ban touching from society because it hurts their gaping wounds.

I can empathize all day and night with anyone, but the problem is not my "toxicity", the problem is your weakness. If you're going to force society into being more empathetic, then at least admit there is something wrong that needs to be fixed, instead of pretending everything is normal (or worse, that it should be glorified and celebrated).

If I should come across a tranny in the wild I would ignore it unless it tried to shove it's tranny on me. Then I would make an effort to avoid or escape from it. That's not right.

The majority are people who are in need of mental healthcare. There may be a small, tiny percentage who are serious about changing and it's fine they can change. But overall they're a tiny sliver of a percentage of the overall population and I don't understand why their needs are being normalized across the rest of the population.

I read through this entire thread. I don't believe transsexualism should happen, but all of these responses other than a couple moderates are incredibly retarded and hateful. Seems that no one is really as interested in solving the problem as they are shitting on a group of people whose core denomination has historically been through hell.

              This group didn't exist historically.

Their problems are all of their own making and they are the ones who need to solve them.

People speaking bluntly isn't hateful, you just aren't used to it.

I used to think it's a rare condition which might be helped by the sex change surgery. Although I never was particularly convinced sex change surgeries are ethical, I didn't find it an important issue.

With the travesty this whole thing evolved to, I don't know what to think anymore. The longer I hear 'arguments' of the so called 'gender affirming' crowd the the more I suspect sex dysphoria might not even be a real medical condition ever worth surgical intervention.

That saying the transgender boom is too big and too bizarre - there must be some structural societal reasons for it to appear so popular in the West. It's seems so dominant even 'social contagion', 'fashion' or 'big pharma conspiracy' theories actually aren't that convincing.

I also don't know how should I treat the fact there are very clearly different types of trans people: the ones who strive to 'transition' and the ones who only want to be treated like they were different sex with no other effort on their part. I'm not sure whom I find more absurd.

But I don't hate trans people. Stll I'm afraid I hate their agenda. I find it incompatible with modern society, egregiously religious, regressive and authoritarian - they are everything (and much more) I despised in Christianity when I was young and tried to free myself from its spell.

Frankly I don't give much of a fuck, its medical issue and the only trans person I have spent any real time around was ok. Granted it was probably over 8 years ago.

But the group that I fucking hate is feminists they come in two main groups, useful idiots and cunts.

              It's a mental health condition.

I actually think there's about 4 or so different ones that are under this umbrella but are all viewed the same in public discourse.

MTF have historically been the most common so understand more from them.

              1. Early onset gender disphoria. Kids show disphoria from very early age, acts more like a girl, gets very upset when not allowed to wear female clothing, typically goes along with some kind of weird hormonal issues. Kid is likely to transition later in life, or just be gay. This is historically the most accepted version though it's quite rare. You'll probably never notice these people are they don't usually want to be in the public eye and otherwise act normal.

              2. Middle age onset. This is when you get guys who are already married or whatever suddenly deciding they are women and transitioning and dragging their SO along for the ride. This is probably a kind of narcissism. These people are usually really annoying and kinda rapey in a lot of circumstances. These are the kind of people that get off going into women's spaces and exposing themselves. Not sure if it's a true mental condition or simply some kind of fetish. Pretty sure most are autogynophiles.

FTM are a bit different. I think most now are a social contagion, I think a lot of it has to do with body acceptance issues. But I know far lass about these.

I've only known a couple of trans people not very well, knew one guy that transitioned in college and went from being kinda a shy artsy pansexual type kid to a sex obsessed voyere. So that person burned through their contacts outside the LGBTQ+ bubble quite fast. New someone else who did it just for attention basically and would constantly go off on people who would comment or stare, backfired hilariously because everyone ended up just avoiding them completely leaving less attention.

I think that our society would be far better off if we payed less attention to them. I've never been convinced that surgical or hormonal treatments are the proper way to go about treating disphoria, but disphoria itself is certainly a real issue that people deal with and I can be sympathetic of that. But I don't think the disphoria is the root cause of their issues, rather it's a symptom of them not accepting themselves. So if at your core you don't accept yourself and don't feel confident, you might go try to find some external reason for why that is, but if you focus on your gender being that reason, and then you change it, there's a high risk that you'll still feel the same way after, since disphoria is essentially you feeling out of place with yourself, and even if you change your body, you're still you, and you still won't accept you.

I'm undecided tbh. I get that gender dysphoria is a medical diagnosis and that MAY be helped by transitioning (though therapy is essential and may negate the "need" for transition). I have trans friends and they're generally pretty cool. However, the absolute rabid obsession with "trans issues" recently is fucking sickening. Just straight up making up shit, silencing facts and rampant misogyny. There aren't nearly as many real trans people as there are weird fetishists and confused teenagers, and the world will look back on this brainwashing as a disgusting biproduct of an unlightened time. Society is allowing so much deranged shit out of fear of being cancelled. We cant let the mob have this much power!

Oh also non-binary is retarded and I stand by that lmao
