Left wing is synonymous with hypocrisy and being disengenious. Their entire way of thinking is based on heartstrings, which, for all intents and purposes, usually lead to bad decision making. I don't know many leftists that can interject logical thinking into their emotional decisions.

Oh do fuck off. It’s entirely possible to be a rational lefty and believe in evidence-based policy. Just because the fringes of the left and right have lost their bloody minds doesn’t mean that the moderates of both sides have too.

As a right winger, I can confirm this. A lot of right wingers are white supremacists. Nothing wrong with preferring your own race. However, there is everything wrong with believing that a certain race is the best race on the planet, when that particular race consists of the worst offenders of supporting neoliberalism, transgender ideology and degeneracy. Support for transgenderism is highest among white liberals. And white liberals are the most anti-white group of people on the planet. Not as obnoxious as Asian liberals or black supremacists, but white liberals are certainly the biggest threats. I cannot respect a race when a large segment of its population hates its own race.

Also, a lot of right wingers are against lockdowns and vaccine mandates. And I agree with them. Lockdowns are inhumane, and people should have a right to refuse medicine or products they do not want. But a lot of these same right wingers support the police. Even though the police enforced lockdowns and mask mandates. Even though police have arrested people for criticising liberal ideologies in the UK, Germany, France and Canada. Even though the police separate divorced fathers from their children. You don’t have to hate the police, because there are a lot of good cops out there. But a lot of cops are horrible people, and a lot of other cops are pathetic. I’m not going to blindly back the blue just because leftists hate them.

And crazy as the left are, there are a lot of sane leftists out there. In fact, the left were the sane ones when George W Bush was in power, while the right were losing their minds.

I'm not so sure about that. The only people I know who are still liberals don't follow multiple news sources. They only get the liberal version of facts, like with the "Don't Say Gay Bill." Garbage In, Garbage out. Their framework of reality is at least partially based on propaganda.

I think the point he's making is that left is not the same as liberal. There's a false dichotomy there and the media seems to cater to partisan subjects rather than actual political issues, whipping everyone up into a frenzy rather than finding common ground. I think a lot of us here can be described as anti-woke left, center-right or some other nuanced leaning.

u/Hongkongphooey makes that argument too. I respect it. I don't mean to be patronizing, but I think that's just part of the journey of realizing liberal ideology is what lead to the left, and is part of the problem. Much in the same way everyone in TiA can agree TRAs are a problem, but still support LGB.

I think a lot of us here can be described as anti-woke left, center-right or some other nuanced leaning.

That describes most of Saidit even though tihs site probably seems super right wing coming off Reddit so recently.
