That "Barnyard" movie where the bulls had udders was definitely a milestone on our road to perdition

Actually, that has a pretty simple explanation. The creator, Steve Oedekerk, got it into his head that people who've never seen a cow before would think that all cows have udders.

Yeah, I figured as much, but it represented a new low in the intelligence level targeted by Hollywood. It's kind of like how Idiocracy had "Ow, My Balls!" and The Masturbation Channel.

Movie came out in 2006, just how far back does the trans phenomena go?

Otis isn't trans, he's just stupidly designed

How much time do you have?

I was thinking more of the "stupid" phenomenon, and that definitely did "hockey stick" roughly around that time.

So back when gendercritical was a thing on reddit, there was this very strong vegan current equating eating animals with exploiting women, because they're both based on biology. Apparently some well known feminist writer wrote a book about it or smth.

[–]Objecting_Sphere 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (7 children)

Yep, vegan activists love pretending that milking cows is some kind of sex crime because it involves the cow's udders - or breasts as the vegans will call them. And they pretend that breeding animals is rape.

Animals are not people.

And they pretend that breeding animals is rape.

If you do the things people do for animal husbandry for pleasure, it's considered bestiality. You can watch a person jerk off and inseminate all sorts of animals on YT. It's pretty hot.

Please tell me that your flair is NOT relevant to this...

What kind of bear are we talking about? The kind that lives in the forest, or the kind that lives in the gayborhood?

[–]TotoroDeams 2 insightful - 5 fun2 insightful - 4 fun3 insightful - 5 fun -  (2 children)

You discriminating against a Forest Bear now? What if he just wants to live fabulously off grid?

[–]IridescentAnaconda 1 insightful - 3 fun1 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 3 fun -  (1 child)

I have met such bears. They are rare, but fabulous when encountered.

Very rustic.

Still doesn't make sense if you come down to it.

I mean, part of making meat is killing 99% of all male animals as babies, often not even using them for meat and just throwing them out, then keeping the small amount they let live solely to impregnate the women and get killed when a new one comes along, while letting women survive and be kept in a life of luxury for animals. This would be the most feminist ideal possible to those GC people.

Male chickens don't gain as much weight per feed and their meat tend to be tough/dry. Unless they're castrated (traditionally known as capon), male chickens are not good eating unfortunately.

In a village setting you could raise them anyway as food though females are more cost efficient.

    [–]IMissPorn 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Same deal with the male calves of dairy cows actually. Other than the few kept for breeding, they have no particular use, because they're not the same kind of cows normally raised for meat.

I thought they're butchered for veal?

    [–]IMissPorn 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Actually, yeah, you're right. It still sees them killed off young, but they're less of a waste than the male chicks.

    [–]SMCAB 2 insightful - 4 fun2 insightful - 3 fun3 insightful - 4 fun -  (2 children)

Look at her assuming those cows genders.

    [–]Alienhunter糞大名 3 insightful - 3 fun3 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 3 fun -  (1 child)

How do you know they are cows? Maybe they identify as otherkin. That bovine might identify as a human, and then this is basically spiritual cannibalism.

    [–]SMCAB 1 insightful - 3 fun1 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

You know what, I thought I was making a good point, but I didn't take it far enough to realize these cows have a right to identify as whatever they please.

We can't stop at gender, we must give people, AND COWS, the space to identify as lampshades and buckets of rocks.

I signed up for more sensitivity training. I'll be better.

I mean, it is [CURRENT YEAR] and all, so I'll try not to judge anyone's yogurt preference. But I'm definitely going to pass on the bull yogurt myself.

Also, I find myself incredibly annoyed by that spelling error in the first post's picture. It should be "The Cows:," not "The Cow's:," the latter only being correct if you added "Names" to finish.

100% It’s pure libfem nonsense intended to refram feminism as silly, petty, and focussed far away from real sex based oppressions.

I do wonder if they're like this for everything. Clearly no knowledge but making a confident assertation that The Thing is bad and you're scum. It seems very familiar for some reason...
