As the Freedom of Russia Legion explained last week, they used the cover of the large scale incursion to enter moscow oblast also. Last week we also saw a massive fire in the government district and explosions in the wealthy residential neighborhood. Here's the Legion hinting at their entry to moscow

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/intel-gathered-partisan-activity-moscow-155800231.html

It's notable that this is notable.

For about a week now, Kyiv has been under massive rocket and drone attacks every night. One such event in muscovïa, and it's international news.

I would rather live in the world, where everyone is bored of hearing repetitive news, about the nightly attacks on muscovïa.

Hopefully we're not that far off. As soon as the main theatre of this war moves into the Bilhorod People's Republic, we can all forget about the war, and it will just be an internal problem for the Z dipshits

Evidence of Rashists, Wagner, Haftar behind Sudan's Janjaweed RSF rebellion by Site_rly_sux in Russia

The perpetrators of the Darfur genocide were the Janjaweed militias - who were formalised by war criminal Omar Al Bashir into the so-called Rapid Support Forces paramilitary.

Today, they're attempting an armed coup against the government.

They're backed by Rashist Wagner stooge Khalifa Haftar, who is the cause for Libya's continued destabilisation.

He's moving rashist equipment and weapons from Latakia to the genocidal paramilitary.

. One of the clues is a confidential conversation between the NZZ and two influential foreign politicians, one from the governing coalition, the other from the opposition. Both insist on anonymity because what they say independently is explosive. In mid-January, US President Joe Biden instructed CIA chief William Burns to assess whether Kyiv and Moscow were willing to negotiate.

The offer to Kyiv read: peace for land, the offer to Moscow: land for peace. The "land" is said to have been about 20 percent of Ukrainian territory. That's about the size of the Donbass. Both sides, the two politicians report, refused. The Ukrainians because they are not willing to have their territory divided, the Russians because they assume they will win the war in the long run anyway.

On the one hand, these statements are explosive because they give an indirect insight into the views in the White House at the time of Burns' trip. According to the two German foreign politicians, Biden wanted to avoid a protracted war in Ukraine and was prepared to give up parts of the country. If this account is correct, Biden would not be alone in his stance in Washington. A new study by the Rand Corporation ("Avoiding a long war"), a renowned American think tank, concludes that "avoiding a long war is a higher priority for the United States" than for Ukraine "control of their entire territory».

Are you drunk?

Seriously - you are repeating the blatant mistake.

First of all. Nowhere in the article does the interviewee talk about wasting 1000s of rounds. That's another invention by you for the purpose of strawmanning.

Second, the "20 vs 200", is in reality, 20 Ukrainian defenders to what the interviewee estimates "let’s say 200 from their side". So when you wrote about wasting ammo on "20 Ukranian stooges" you betrayed your absolute misunderstanding of the interview or context of the scenario being discussed. Which is why I ask whether you are drunk right now.

Third, if you think I personally am claiming that Wagner are drugged, then you need to sober up, because anyone with a room temperature IQ can see that CNN's interviewee from the UAF is the one claiming that. And he gives sensible reasons for believing it, which are drawn from his observations and experiences, which are also described in the article.

Fourth, you forgot to address why you invented that whole bit about assembling barrels. You didn't read that in the article - it came directly from your imagination to the frontal cortex, and from then on, you had actually tricked yourself into believing that it was part of reality. Isn't that worrying? Don't you worry about the chain of custody, from imagination directly to the firmament of reality. That's how schizophrenic people behave and I think it should worry you more than it seems to.

Okay, so you're feeling a narrative need, to minimise the combat intensity of these UAF soldiers.

Let's explore a bit, that desire which you're experiencing.

So if the UAF soldiers are not really having to fight much...then....why hasn't the ruzzia won yet? Why is Bakhmut still contested, if the combat on the Ukrainian side is happening only on the TV?

I get that your narrative requires minimising the lived experience of ukrainian soldiers....but you ought not do it in a way that clashes with the rest of your narrative

A "Kyiv-controlled city"?

I think there's a word for that - it's "Ukraine".

Artemivsk /Artyomovsk /etc is the ruzzian name for Bakhmut ("salty water"), the ancient Cossack Ukrainian city of Bakhmut. Funny story - Joe Stalin had a friend called Artem, and so Joe decided to steal from Ukraine the name of one of its cities. Everyone was supposed to call it Artemivsk now, and if you refuse to call your ancient Cossack city by the new name of Stalin's friend Artem, then you're a dirty nationalist who gets sent to Siberia. Nothing really changes in the evil empire, huh. That's why, this time, we're going to split the ruzzia into it's constituent republics, like what we did to AustriaHungary.

Disguised in a balaclava, Andriy recounts one seemingly endless firefight when they came under attack by a flood of Wagner fighters.

“We were fighting for about 10 [straight] hours []. And it wasn’t like just waves; it was uninterrupted. So it was [] like they didn’t stop coming.”

“They make the group – let’s say from 10 soldiers – reach 30 meters, then they start digging in to keep the position,” Andriy says of Wagner.

Another group follows, he says, to claim another 30 meters. “That’s how, step by step, (Wagner) is trying to move forward while they lose a lot of people in the meantime.”

When the first wave is exhausted or cut down, Wagner sends in more experienced combatants, often from the flanks, to overrun Ukrainian positions.

Andriy says facing the assault was a frightening and surreal experience.

“Our machine gunner was almost [going] crazy because he was shooting at them. And he said, I know I shot him, but he didn’t fall. And [later], when he maybe bleeds out, he falls.”

Andriy compares the battle to a scene out of a zombie movie. “They’re climbing above the corpse of their friends, stepping on them,” he says.

“It [seems] very likely that they are getting some drugs before the attack,” he says, a claim that CNN has not been able independently to verify.

Even after the first waves were eliminated, the attack continued as the Ukrainian defenders said they ran out of bullets and found themselves surrounded.

“The problem was that they went around us. And that’s how they surrounded us. They came from the other side. We didn’t expect them to come from there."

“We were shooting until the last bullet, so we threw all the grenades [a few guys and I had and left]. We were helpless in that situation.”

They were lucky. Held off until the last moment, the Ukrainian fighters say, Wagner withdrew at the end of the day.

I am interested in debate on this because I think you're wrong. But you've written so many lies that it's hard to just pick something out.

To begin with, you have called 2014 a coup, and you said that no effort was made to hide western involvement.

I think this is a lie. I have never seen any evidence for a western coup in 2014. Maybe you can provide extraordinary evidence for this extraordinary claim you made, and we can debate the evidence on its merits.

Then just to pick out another random lie you told. You said that Boris Johnson's visit in August is why the peace talks broke down.

Perhaps you're forgetting that the actual reasons for breakdown involved ruzzia's poisoning of Rustem Umerov and Roman Abramovic.

Why don't you provide extraordinary evidence for your extraordinary claim that Boris Johnson's August visit to Kyiv is in any way related to a breakdown in talks.

There are so many lies told, like I said, it's hard to focus on just one. But there's two which we can start off with. Are you interested in debating this or not

Now, please, I will really enjoy my morning a lot more if you show me which laughably incredible information source you used for 213k dead NATO personnel.

Are you talking about Putin announcing a special operation to demilitarise and denazify? Because that has absolutely nothing to do with what you claimed earlier - you claimed that the land bridge was the goal of the operation. So maybe you should go back to Reddit, because you're not making any sense here

Edit - maybe by "they", you're referring to the russian interfax agency, who on February 24th published and then quickly deleted an article about how great it is for russia, Ukraine and belorus to finally be back in a union state together. But, if this is what you meant by by "they said what they wanted" - rebuilding the union state is not the same as capturing the land bridge, which is what you earlier claimed was the purpose of the operation

You don't know what they wanted. You have absolutely no idea, so don't pretend. You don't know whether they wanted to take ground, or demilitarise, or capture biolabs, or start a new world order, or add "the Great" to Putin, or push back NATO, or find the gayropean black magician cyborgs, or denazify, or what. So don't pretend like you alone have some magical view into Putin's decrepid head.

If we could go back in time one year and ask Putin if he'd trade 400k dead+wounded plus russia's entire international standing for lysychansk and the land bridge, I don't think hed say yes...

Then, the third obnoxious thing about your comment, is that it flies in the face of the article you're commenting under, which shows they absolutely did have plans for the nuclear sites which they don't hold - ergo, a failed invasion

The Kremlin's plan envisioned three uses for the Ukrainian nuclear power facilities once the invasion was underway.

First, Moscow planned for Ukrainian nuclear power facilities to function as bases for Russian troops and their equipment as well as ammunition depots. Russian officers were also to set up command-and-control posts within the premises of those nuclear facilities.

The second function the Kremlin envisioned for the nuclear facilities was to gain control over Ukraine's energy system. Nuclear power generates more than 60% of Ukraine's electricity. Thus, by controlling the nuclear facilities, Moscow would have influence over Ukraine's population and economy.

Finally, Moscow wanted to control the Ukrainian nuclear facilities so as to have "leverage for blackmailing" European countries. By threatening Europe with radiation pollution from potential accidents, the Kremlin hoped to deter direct or indirect foreign intervention

Moreover, to deal with any Ukrainian provinces that refused to cooperate with the proxy government Moscow was planning to install, the Russians planned to weaponize the captured nuclear power plants to cut off electricity to those regions.

Moscow's goal was the "denuclearization" of Ukraine through the capture and control of its nuclear power plants, along with the destruction of Ukraine's national identity and of Ukraine's military forces and defense industry, according to the RUSI report.

The article gives examples of both. On the one side, "overlooked", because the English language academia covering the region has inherited the russian language lies - like, the lie that before russia arrived, ukrainians were dull Cossacks who ate grass and slept under the open sky. From the article -

As Professor Susan Smith-Peter recently commented: “As scholars of Russia, we need to undertake a searching moral inventory to see the ways in which we have taken the Russian state’s point of view as a default. Have we in any way taken part in the glorification of the Russian state that Putin has taken to a pathological extreme? Has our field participated in casting Ukraine as a state without history in our own way?“

The article also gives ways that USA officials were directly propping up, and in favor of, maintaining russian imperialism.

This is how late Professor Mark von Hagen recalled in 2016 the political atmosphere back then: “Again, George Bush … was defending Gorbachev until the very last possible moment because he and the United States government at that level, with a few dissenting voices, wanted to keep the Soviet Union together because they were so afraid of the kind of crazy, fascist nationalism that they thought the Ukrainians represented.”

The article is worth a read in my opinion, if you haven't already

Russia Rolls Out Combat Robot to 'Detect and Destroy' Leopard 2, Abrams Tanks Sent to Ukraine by _Okio_ in Russia

[–]_Okio_[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

On Wednesday, Washington and Berlin announced they were ready to provide Kiev with M1 Abrams and Leopard 2 tanks in the coming months. The decisions came as Russia continues its special military operation in Ukraine.

A strike version of the Russian-made Marker robot will be capable of hitting the German and US-made main battle tanks, due to be delivered to Ukraine, Dmitry Rogozin, former director general of the Russian federal space agency Roscosmos, has told Sputnik.

He explained that the robot’s control system features an electronic catalogue with images of targets in the visible and infrared ranges, which helps the Marker automatically detect the enemy’s military hardware.

"For example, as soon as deliveries of the Abrams and Leopard tanks to the Ukrainian troops begin, the Marker will be fitted with an appropriate electronic image to detect and destroy the US and German tanks with anti-tank guided missiles,” Rogozin said.

He pointed out that the Marker can also prioritise the enemy’s targets when on the front. The ex-Roscosmos chief said that in February, four Marker robots will be delivered to the Donbass region, where they are expected to enter service shortly after going through a number of tests.

Rogozin spoke after German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced Berlin’s decision to send 14 Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine, something that was followed by US President Joe Biden saying that Washington will deliver 31 Abrams tanks to Kiev.

The Russian Embassy in Germany warned that “this extremely dangerous decision [by Berlin] shifts the Ukrainian conflict to a new level of standoff.” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov for his part told reporters that arms supplies to Ukraine by Western countries testify to their direct and growing involvement in the conflict.

"There are constant statements from European capitals and from Washington that the sending of various weapons systems, including tanks, to Ukraine in no way means the involvement of these countries or the alliance in the hostilities that are taking place in Ukraine. We categorically disagree with this," Peskov added.

Moscow has repeatedly warned that the US and its allies sending military aid to Kiev adds to prolonging the Ukrainian conflict. The Russian Foreign Ministry said that NATO countries “play with fire" by supplying weapons to Kiev, and that any convoy of arms for Ukraine will become a legitimate target for Russian forces.
