Thoughts watching this in the order they occurred

  1. Why does it matter if both my partner and I need a step stool to get the pasta? This is the smallest inconvenience (pun intended). I’m certainly not sucking a dick for something minor no one actually cares about.

  2. Why are you using your kids as props in your homophobic begging video? This sends even more red flags than the actual homophobia.

  3. Only straight couples can have biological kids. I accepted long ago that won’t be a thing that happens for me and I have zero intention of suddenly dating a man to make it happen.

Are those things connected? I'm not an expert on trauma but I spend a lot of time with people who are (oddly), social workers, academics etc. and they all seem to be in agreement that trauma (proper, fleeing civil war trauma, not 'people were mean to me on Twitter' trauma) tends to fuck you up. People deal with it in different ways, absolutely, but I don't think 'being really nice to their girlfriends' is an established pattern. Violence and general instability? Yes. Drinking yourself to death? Also yes. Treating someone like a goddess? Hmm, don't think that one's in the literature.

Yep. Violence, addiction, sexual dysfunction, crippling anxiety, complete emotional shutdown, etc. do seem to be how people cope with trauma. Can’t recall “being nice to potential romantic interests” being a trauma response though.

  1. I guess he thinks tall lesbians don't exist.

The first made me laugh quite a bit, cause I'm short as fuck and surely need the chair to reach stuff, but like who gives a shit? Not like that's a problem. Never understood people saying the need someone tall to reach stuff as that were important problem in life. Doesn't make me search height in a woman, actually I do prefer on shorter side. Although that's second time I keep running on someone taller than average and that's sout Italy when people are shorter. If I'll live in norther Europe where women are definitely taller, I'll probably just get a tallette reaching stuff for me lol

Im not really into kids. So sexuality doesn't matter here. If I wanted an Elvira junior I would buy some sperm.

There is actually technology in development to make it possible! Though it still has to go through some years of testing and then there are the legal/ethical issues. It's called in vitro gametogenesis. Some scientists were able to take skin cells from the tails of two female mice, turn them into egg and sperm cells, grow those into female baby mice (in third-party female mice), and the female baby mice were deemed indistinguishable from regular female mice and were able to have healthy offspring of their own. Really fascinating! So it is possible, although I'm guessing may not be available in our lifetimes. They weren't as successful when they tried to do this with two male mice, though; only a few of the babies from two male mice survived past a few days, and had all kinds of physical abnormalities.

Yeah I completely agree, no need to glorify trauma! People can be good relationship partners regardless of their trauma histories. And I don't want people's pity points just because I have been through some trauma... he is trying to make himself into a victim, here.
