Like I felt so sorry for him that he could be so closed minded and lack so much compassion and understanding

This man seems to understand how erasing women is dangerous and bad, showing that he has compassion and understanding for issues that don't personally affect him. Which is way more than can be said for TRAs who lack any empathy at all.

He appears to have fallen down the TERF rabbit hole

What rabbit hole? Reality? Science? I doubt this man is routinely browsing Ovarit or something.

Consider introducing him to trans positive media or trans youtubers.

Indoctrinate him into the cult, clearly the solution.

Maybe you can punch some sense in him

Oh hey, speaking of empathy, here's "abuse your husband until he gives in." Fucking sociopaths.

Maybe you can punch some sense in him

It doesn’t surprise me at all that people on this subreddit would suggest that. This sub is full of incredibly violent people.

Every. Single. Time... Like, is there ever a discussion among TRAs about GC ideas where they don't resort to violence? It is so incredible. They just cannot stand the simple boring truth sitting in front of them. It drives them completely bonkers.

If you have siblings growing up, you have fought with them until your parents intervened. Some people do not grow past that stage.

What a dramatic fight. I'm shacking. Someone hold me in their arms, please!

I can't believe these people are married and yet haven't yet figured out how to disagree on something so inconsequential to their relationship.

The being happily straight married and "coming out" as pan and him as a crossdresser is hilarious. First world problems.

Imagine this self-involved woman-child actually being gay in a time or place where it wasn't a game and could get you lynched.

If this woman was living in a non-western country, she would either hide her bisexuality, or show gratitude that her husband doesn’t mind that she’s bisexual.

Imagine this self-involved woman-child actually being gay in a time or place where it wasn't a game and could get you lynched.

Or arrested and sent to prison. Or locked up in a mental hospital and forced to endure electroshock "therapy". Or "correctively" raped. ALL of which gay people were routinely subjected to in my country (USA) not so long ago.

She should definitely let her insane ideology destroy her marriage, so in ten years when she's alone and undesirably aged out of "pansexuality" she can ruminate about how she wrecked the marriage arguing about tampon boxes.

I hope the husband leaves her if she keeps being insane. No one deserves to be in a relationship like that. If she ever does come to her senses but it’s too late, she’s going to be incredibly bitter about the whole thing.

The number of deluded people from which to choose, though, is still high, so she could just hop into a more suitable pairing once she's tired of his reality sandwiches.

He says anything not published by Fox News is just propaganda and anti-American. Yeah…. Again he wasn’t like this until recently. I don’t know what changed.

Fence sitters on the gender issue are also getting sick and tired of this bullshit and ironically fox and sky news seem to be the only places that talk about it. That is what is happening.

[–]julesburm1891 19 insightful - 1 fun19 insightful - 0 fun20 insightful - 1 fun -  (6 children)

Full disclosure: I’m an independent.

The American right is saying “wait a minute, this is nuts” in response to gender lunacy. The American left seems to think embracing every TQ+ issue is the best bet. So they’re doubling down on crazy. “Birthing people! Men can have periods! Let a grown man beat the shit out of a woman in UFC! It’s totally cool that a registered sex offender can whip out his dick in front of your 8-year-old daughter! Let’s medically experiment on kids! 100 genders! Call my tree instead of he! Lesbians and straight men love dick!” Most people seeing this think it’s insane and aren’t on board. They’re going to look elsewhere if the left keeps this up. (For example, both of my parents have never voted Republican and they are starting to get really sick of the Democrats for this.)

[–]SerpensInferna 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

It's kind of crazy how in the last few years just how many life-time Dem voters are ditching the party because of this insanity. I am not looking forward to the pendulum swinging hard right, which seems inevitable.

[–]julesburm1891 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Yeah. It’s wild to me that the party that was actually saying “god made Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve” when I was teenager is the one living in reality now. You’re right though. It’s only a matter of time before this snaps back and popular opinion turns against LGB people.

There is still time for sane LGB people to speak out. But there are no guarantees.

[–]our_team_is_winning 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

There are some popular conservative gay people though. Just thinking of Ric Grenell, Andy Ngo, Tammy Bruce, Scott Presler, Brandon Straka, haha formerly Milo! I think a large % of American Republicans are far more accepting of gay people when they share the same feelings on big issues (immigration, the homeless crisis, gun rights, etc.) There will always be hardcore Christian Right who will NEVER accept gay people, but I think the Right these days are far more concerned with immigration, foreign wars, the economy, Woke garbage in the schools, freedom from govt mandates, etc.

And when I say gay people, I mean LGB. It's the TQ+ that will fuel renewed hatred of LGB by attaching like a barnacle and misleading people that they're part of one monolithic group.

There are plenty of people who voted against gay marriage, who still eagerly tune in when Andy Ngo is there to talk about Antifa, and not give Andy's orientation a second thought, but if the media and formerly gay organizations want people to believe Andy Ngo and "Rachel" Levine represent the same group, then the tide turns back.

And for the record, I think the Republicans will take up the TWAW motto soon enough themselves. I don't have great hope for them saying no to the Gender Woo for much longer.

Yeah, as a lifelong Democrat/liberal-progressive, I've certainly noticed this, too. Not least in myself. While I'm never going to go right-wing or Republican, I can't help feeling pretty alienated from the political party and leftism that used to be my home. Now, whenever I have MSNBC on, I'm subconsciously bracing myself to feel outraged and betrayed by their next bout of mindless rah-rah-gender/trans cheerleading.

Problem is, I don't think that the right's any better, really-- yeah, they oppose the trans juggernaut, but often for misogynistic and homo/biphobic reasons. Basically, they see trans as violating gender roles (which is highly offensive to believers in traditional-style pink-is-for-girls/blue-is-for-boys-ism), and as "gay" (cuz being "trans" must mean that you're homosexual, DUH!). They're wrong on both counts, of course... but if they ever realize that? They might join the trans-cult every bit as enthusiastically as Iran has. :(

Had a convo with a conservative fundamentalist Christian a few months ago in which he was shocked that I agreed with him about this. "We tried to warn you," he said. I agreed.

Of course, he also believes wildly untrue things because of his diet of nonsense, so it was pretty strange to have a more sane conversation with him about this than I'd be able to with most of my friends yet. Because in the next breath I virtually had to point out to him that the Earth is not flat.

Such a bizarre time this is.

It’s no coincidence that Fox News, Sky News Australia and other right of centre publications are gaining more viewers. And it’s not because people have become more right wing, but because the left is in denial that the lunatics are out there causing trouble and destroying our institutions.

It amazes me that these people always insist we’re saying, “you have to have a period to be a woman” when we’re very clearly saying “women are the only people capable of having a period.” But, considering they only see men and women as stereotypical caricatures, it’s not surprising they think everyone else does too.

You are not the target audience, though—she is talking to the cult. Groupthink is a helluva drug.

I love how she describes her husband as being "small" just for stating facts. That is just incredibly condescending. Such lack of respect for her husband. If you cannot respect your spouse, then your marriage is doomed.

[–]loveSloaneSuperDuperBi 12 insightful - 2 fun12 insightful - 1 fun13 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

I love that one of the commenters actually felt the need to explain what her husband meant lmao

And I bet he’ll end up peaking her, she probably only felt the need to post in the first place because he was making too much sense

Also lol at someone trying to trans him because of how he dresses

[–]kwallio 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I think this person is getting ready to replace the husband, she reads like she's drunk the koolaid.

It never ceases to amaze me that people like this are so deep in their ideological bubble that they think anyone outside that bubble agrees with them, that their ideology is 'forward thinking' and 'progressive'. The majority of the world knows that only women menstruate. I don't think she see's the husband as 'small' or feels sorry for him as she does herself. Pure projection.

[–]wafflegaffWoman. SuperBi. 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Something else that is curious about all of this: Of course, over here on the left our experience of the last few years was of watching half the country join an insane cult.

Sometimes I wonder if that experience has blinded some on the left to the possibility that they could ever fall into the same trap and seem as utterly disconnected from reality. They are not nearly as immune as they think they are.

Each side can see the other's culty ways, but not their own.

Oh my god what a bigot, saying women menstruate? 🙄
