I'm not familiar with the book myself, so for others who don't know anything about it either, here's a summary from Barnes & Noble:

In his debut book, Nebraskan author Scott Howard exposes the actors financing the institutionalization of transgenderism. Behind the medical research into gender transitioning of children, ubiquitous pride parades, and Drag Queen Story Hours is a lot of money. Sex education, the homosexual and feminist precursor projects, and the global propaganda are all pushed and paid for by very wealthy and well-connected people with motive and will. Howard demonstrates that the transgender phenomenon is far from the "grass-roots movement" some of its advocates would have the public believe.

Impeccably sourced and researched, The Transgender-Industrial Complex pulls the mask off the complex network of influential groups responsible for this inhuman project. Howard takes a deep dive into the murky depths of the Big Money behind Big Gay, exposing how the concept gained such recognition as well as the goals of the people behind it. At once wide-ranging and specific, advanced and accessible, The Transgender-Industrial Complex is essential reading for anyone who wants to understand why every institution with power, and a great many without, are uniform in their inversion of reality, their religion of lies, and their commitment to all that is ugly, broken, and foul.

Antelope Hill is proud to present it's first original work: Scott Howard's The Transgender-Industrial Complex.

I'm left-leaning and I definitely think that there is larger and more insidious capitalist agenda working here masking itself as queer theory and genderism. Over the last few years few left-wing people have started to realize that genderism is a form of neoliberal weaponry, one which amputates the younger generation and aides in the destruction of social order. When the lower classes have all been juiced up on hormones, identities and surgeries, it allows the elite rich to cash in on their misery. Transgenderism is shameless pharma-industrialism and the so called "Modern Left" does nothing to hinder it, this form of capitalism makes lifelong patients for the benefits of the rich.

Remember those crazy ''new world order" conspiracies which some fringe conspiracists have been spewing since the dawn of the internet? Well genderism definitely is starting to feeling like the first step to ''new world order" because genderists aim to destroy all forms of established social norms and rules with the support of their capitalist overlords. I know its a bit of a reach but what I'm trying to say is the ultimate goal of queerism/genderism is destruction of human social structure and it only benefits the elite.

Agreed, at least in the US (I can't speak to other countries). Our elite are the ruling class, and benefit from this because it stops the rest of us from focusing on them and instead just fighting among each other. They will keep doing what they do, above the law because they pad the pocketbooks of each other and are corrupt ... the more we tear each other down, the less we impact or question their circumstances.

It's the 1%/99% in action. I don't understand why people have forgotten that.

"New World Order" wasn't a conspiracy theory. George H.W. Bush explicitly mentioned it in speeches. What do you call completely open borders, devaluing the US dollar and replacing it with a singular global currency? The EU, but on a worldwide scale. And naturally, there will be no voting. It will be like communist China - you'll be able to vote for the lowest level of local officials, but that's it. Today if your government falls to tyranny you can flee to another country, but not under a global governance (their term for it, watch for this phrase, it's a tell). It will encompass the entire planet and you will not be able to escape.

It's a political strategy called Divide and Rule (or divide and conquer, from Latin dīvide et īmpera) in politics and sociology is gaining and maintaining power by breaking up larger concentrations of power into pieces that individually have less power than the one implementing the strategy. The concept refers to a strategy that breaks up existing power structures, and especially prevents smaller power groups from linking up, causing rivalries and fomenting discord among the people.

Any of this starting to sound familiar?

Will be? I invite you to slowly and methodically consider how Joe Biden became POTUS, starting from the pool of Democratic contenders for the party nomination, which was diverse for US politics but depressingly uniform when viewed from a wider lens. When you're done contemplating the beginning of the primary election cycle, move on to the end, which took place during covid lockdowns and never actually completed in a normal democratic fashion. I'm not even going to get into the dumpster fire of the general election.

I’m not American, so I am probably wrong on this. But I have heard that the US government has a deep state that controls the presidency, so that it doesn’t matter who the president is. This is why I think the way forward is for Americans to focus on state and local elections.

But you’re not alone. The Irish government is corrupt, and they are puppets of the European Union and Silicon Valley. Our electoral system is done in a way that enables unpopular politicians to get elected and for small parties to never succeed. I have voted in elections, but now I’ve given up on voting. Democracy in Ireland is a sham.

But I have heard that the US government has a deep state that controls the presidency, so that it doesn’t matter who the president is.

This is never openly admitted or acknowledged, but it is transparently obvious if you look at policy in any area other than divisive and relatively meaningless social controversies. Yeah, it's great that Democrats eventually begrudgingly supported same-sex marriage and Republicans did not, but for economic policy and foreign policy, i.e. questions that have actual impact on most Americans' lives, even those of LGBs, the two parties are indistinguishable.

Even state and local elections are relatively meaningless, as they are still driven by large donors. But, yes, they are slightly more democratic than US presidential and congress elections.

Regarding Ireland, I have very little detailed knowledge of Irish politics, but I am not surprised that the EU and Silicon Valley wield enormous power there.

That’s sad to hear. I hear that there are talks of secession in states like Texas. What are the odds of that happening?

Yeah, politics in Ireland sucks. Other than that, it’s a good country to live in- well, it was a good country, until the lockdowns came in 2020 and the government took away our civil rights. Rent rates are increasing, houses that were up for sale have been bought out by multinational investor firms who will rent the houses out, most of our college graduates are leaving the country for work, our healthcare system is terrible, our police have become tyrants, our government controlled media shames people who criticise the government and these no alternative media aside from local radio stations and newspapers, crime is going up, we're the only country in Europe where indoor dining is not allowed, drugs are being trafficked through our country and our airports are being used as stopovers by the US military while they’re on their way to the Middle East, hate speech laws are being proposed and media does not allow debate on these proposed laws, and Ireland has a self-ID gender identity law. All of the political parties except for Aontú and the National Party will make these things worse. Sadly, Aontú only has one seat in the parliament and that’s because its founder was already in parliament when he founded the party. The National Party doesn’t stand a chance. The only ways out for Ireland is for most of the country to civilly disobey the government and make the police afraid of us, or for a revolution like the French Revolution to occur. We’ve had uprisings in this country, after all, that’s how we got our independence from the British. But Irish people usually put up with a lot of oppression until we rise up, because most of the time, we’re scared to stand up for ourselves or rock the boat. But there are protests happening in the UK, France, Greece and the Netherlands, and we do have protests here. Sadly, our protests are small and they don’t seem to be working. But who knows? Ireland has been having serious problems since the 2008 recession, but we’ve had problems with the way this country has been run since Éamon de Valera came to power in 1932, so maybe the last straw is coming soon, that will propel Irish people into a rebellion. Hopefully. Then again, the Irish government and the Irish media suck up to Joe Biden, and they might ask America to send in troops to silence dissent.

TL;DR: Ireland is not a free country, and our democracy is a sham. We’re fascist in all but name.

That’s sad to hear. I hear that there are talks of secession in states like Texas. What are the odds of that happening?

Almost nil. Contrary to popular belief, once a state joins the Union there is no legal way for it to leave without triggering a war, Texas included. This was decided by our Civil War.

Texas has the legal right to split itself into up to five smaller states, which give it up to 10 federal Senators- a huge political advantage which would be opposed by the other states. So that's not happening either.

Don't know if you find this comforting or not, but Biden has been floating bringing in the UN to evaluate our police forces. I think it's more likely we'll end up having Irish UN Peacekeepers here than the other way 'round.

Trust me, you don’t want UN peacekeepers in your country. They would not make your police officers better, they would probably make your cops worse. If I was an American cop, I would resign instead of let some foreigner who works for the UN talk down to me.

In fact, I wished that the Irish military would stop working with the UN. Our military should exist only to ensure that our country doesn’t get invaded and nobody smuggled in drugs or other dangerous stuff to our country. I don’t want Irish soldiers, sailors or airmen in foreign countries. I also want Ireland out of the UN. Every country should leave. The UN should not exist at all.

There are a lot of political commentators who think the Biden administration is intentionally provoking conservative Americans in the hopes that the latter will lash out violently and give the administration a basis to crack down on them. They want a domestic War on Terror™️ focused on their political opposition (who they are pretending are violent white supremacists, without much proof.)

Bringing blue helmets onto U.S. soil would simultaneously provoke American nationalists, who would see them as invaders and are armed to the teeth already, and give Biden extra troops to hunt his own people with.

So goes the theory. We'll see in six months.

There is not a snowball's chance in hell of Texas or any other state seceding without a major political and social collapse.

Let's see: aside from indoor dining being allowed in most places, a geography too large to make focused statements about drug trafficking and airport stopovers, and differences in the dynamics of a parliamentary system of government and that of the US -- I would say that you could be describing the state of affairs in the US.

[–]RedEyedWarriorGay | Male | 🇮🇪 Irish 🇮🇪 | Antineoliberal | Cocks are Compulsory 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Yeah, America is fucked. So is Ireland, because at least America has indoor dining in most places. Our foreign policy isn’t as bad, because Ireland doesn’t invade other countries as much as America does. But we do invade other countries, on the orders of the UN. Irish soldiers go into Lebanon and other countries on orders from the UN, which is wrong - Irish soldiers should stay in Ireland and train Irish people how to prepare in case there is an invasion or a civil war. Plus, the Irish government loves to lash out at other countries whenever they do something that the Irish government doesn’t like, even though it’s none of our business, and these countries could kick our arses if they wanted to. So far, our government has been uncooperative with the UK over Brexit, and even if you’re against Brexit, the UK has the sovereign right to join or leave international unions. Our government has also criticised Sweden over how Sweden has handled COVID, even though this is entirely a Swedish affair, and I think Sweden has the right approach to the pandemic. Other countries the Irish government has pissed off jnclude America, Poland, Hungary, Belarus, Russia and so on. The idea of letting other countries do what they want in their own borders does not matter to the Irish government, because the Irish government does not work for the Irish people; they work for international elites, the EU, the UN and Silicon Valley. I honestly wouldn’t surprise if people from other countries start to hate the Irish because of our corrupt neoliberal government. If we had the population of America, and the same amount of nukes as America, we’d be just as hated as Americans.

For the record, I love my country. But because I love my country, I passionately despise my government and my legal system.

But I have heard that the US government has a deep state that controls the presidency, so that it doesn’t matter who the president is.

I wouldn't put it that way; what people are referring to as "the deep state" is, imo, nothing more the federal bureaucracy. Career government employees who remain while presidents (and other elected officials) come and go. Because can you REALLY fire and replace all those people every 4-8 years? And even if you could... would that be a good idea? Get a bunch of newbies in who don't know how anything works, then give 'em the boot before they can figure it out?

I mean, we've tried this with our elected officials, in effect, by imposing term limits... and you know what the result has been? They're never around long enough to learn how to do their jobs, so they let those with more experience do it for 'em instead. And who are they? Lobbyists. High-priced hired guns who represent the interests of the rich/corporations. That's who writes our laws now, mostly. And you better believe they're not writing 'em to favor the "common man" (or woman).

Of course lobbyists also tend to have LOOOONG careers on Capitol Hill, outlasting any presidential administration... curiously, though, no one ever refers to them as the "deep state". Wonder why?/s

We don’t have term limits in Ireland, except for the president’s office, which is an entirely ceremonial position. Our members of Parliament have no term limits, and they hold the executive power, so they have all the time they need to build up experience to write laws. They still sell our country down the river because they are greedy assholes.

That's terrible, Warrior; particularly because, once "the Troubles" came to an end, I'd hoped that the people of Ireland could finally have a fully-functional country to live in. After CENTURIES of being under both English and Church domination, you guys deserve a fuckin' break already (I'm half-Irish myself BTW, like many Americans).

Do you know what led to this sad state of affairs? I have some idea of how America got here (it's not just about lobbyists-- that's more of a symptom than a cause), and would be happy to give you an in-a-nutshell summary (which is pretty much all I know anyway), if you-- or anyone else-- are/is interested.

[–]RedEyedWarriorGay | Male | 🇮🇪 Irish 🇮🇪 | Antineoliberal | Cocks are Compulsory 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

Ireland is a functional country despite our government and legal system. But imagine how great we’d be if we had a proper government. Most countries have this problem.

We have lobbyists here too. But most of our problems is that our government sets up publicly-owned companies across various industries, then monopolises these industries and quash competition because the government wants to profit from them. This started with Éamon de Valera, who was a neoconservative. When we joined the European Union, the EU told our government to stop monopolising industries and forced the government to allow competitors in those industries. This is one of the few good things that the EU have done for us. But sometimes our government continues to break EU law by being biased in favour of government owned and government supported companies. But the main source of our problems is that Irish people tend not to think outside the box. We’re not very good. with imagination, especially when it comes to politics and economics. So we don’t do much about it. And when we do get angry, we complain… and that’s it. All we do is complain. We don’t want to be uncomfortable, because we like our cushy jobs and our warm houses and our abundance of food and toys. But the lockdowns have made so many Irish people uncomfortable and miserable, so who knows?

I’d like to hear how the American federal government came to be so corrupt. I’ve heard about what LBJ, FDR, Grant and Lincoln have done.

[–]PenseePansyBio-Sex or Bust 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Oh, I didn't mean to suggest that Ireland isn't a functional country! I only meant that the government's problems keep it from being FULLY functional, you know? Like, because of that, it's at 95% instead of 100%, or something. (I'd say that my own country is currently functioning at a level which falls well short of either.)

I’d like to hear how the American federal government came to be so corrupt. I’ve heard about what LBJ, FDR, Grant and Lincoln have done.

So glad you asked! Well, it goes beyond even corruption, I think (as bad as that would be); what's happening here is more like a fundamental breakdown. That's been decades in the making.

In a nutshell: most Americans have been disconnected from their government for the last 40-some years, so any sense of citizenship is dead; and neither of our two political parties care about anyone besides the rich.

Why:

  • the Cold War: made any criticism of capitalism (even at its most amoral and inhumane) anti-American. Made average Americans support policies favoring the rich, even at great cost to themselves.
  • the Southern Strategy: Republicans (always the minority party) become competitive by going after voters in the South... white, radical-reactionary, intensely-racist voters who HATE the federal government (for ending first slavery and then segregation). This remakes the GOP in their image. One of our two political parties is now anti-government (and anti-democracy) at its core.
  • Watergate: the president was revealed as a criminal... and then pardoned by his successor, so he got away with it. Made Americans see their government as a corrupt sham, and want nothing more to do with it.
  • the Powell Memo: written from the POV of corporations who feared that the public would use government to check their power; outlined ways of undermining democracy, so people would have no choice other than to just go shopping. It worked.

Result of the above: most people no longer have any sense of citizenship. They're tuned out of government, so there's nobody to offset the influence of the rich. Both political parties thus largely ignore the masses. The GOP is also increasingly hostile to the very existence of the federal government. This served the Democrats, at least up to a point, because they could mainly devote themselves to the rich while getting votes from average people because "look how awful the REPUBLICANS are! You don't want them to win, do you?" As one writer memorably put it: Democrats are useless and Republicans are crazy. All of which made our politics just get ever nastier and more unhinged.

As you can probably tell, I'm on the liberal side of things myself, but nonetheless very much aware of how Democrats have contributed to this epic clusterfuck. Here's another liberal who is likewise, and wrote a book about it:

genderism is a form of neoliberal weaponry

Indeed it is. In fact, as someone who is anti communist, I consider neoliberalism and neoconservativism to be far worse than communism. Neoliberalism and neoconservativism - which are both sides of the same coin really - are essentially socialism for large, globalist corporations while the plebs like you and me have to live in poverty. And transgenderism is one way for neoliberals and neocons to achieve their goals.

I've heard about the book. It doesn’t surprise me one bit, to be honest. No it’s not antisemitic, because there are a lot of Jews who are against trans rights and some of these Jews are working to try to stop this transgender nonsense because they know it’s harmful. But TRAs will call us antisemitic just to silence us. And yes, they will call Jewish people who are switched on to this insanity antisemitic, much like how they call us homosexuals and bisexuals anti-gay or biphobic, even though we are fighting for the rights of gay, lesbian and bisexual people. You see, the people behind this want to divide us so they can conquer the world, and an easy way to divide us is to get us to hate people of other groups. Remember the race riots in America last year? It was all to get white people and black people to hate each other while governments gain more power for themselves. We’re all different kinds of ants in a jar that is being shaken.

A lot of them are, but there are Christians, atheists and other groups involved in this as well. And it’s not a hate crime to point this out, because I’d imagine most Jews don’t support this crap and some of them are trying to stop this. That’s like saying 99% of rapists are male, but most men don’t rape, and a majority of them want rapists to be put in jail. The problem is, these elites will call you antisemitic anyway as a way to silence you, even if you are Jewish. Like how we get called homophobic even though we are openly gay and are fighting for gay rights.

The thing about it is, whenever they go on a tear lambasting anyone who criticizes the trans lobby, banks, the media or our foreign policy (and I mean foreign in every sense of the word!) as an 'anti-Semite', they're tacitly admitting that all that stuff is really Jewish-controlled. It's hilarious! They think they're attacking you, but all they're really doing is outing themselves.

Exactly. It exposes them. I will reiterate that there are Jewish people who are completely against gender ideology and who want to suppress this ideology, but they are being silenced by those who are pushing this ideology.

Well...are these people actually Jewish? And if so how is it a hate crime to say it?

I suspect that it's a case of Jewish people in the west tending to be political/social liberals, and therefore-- like most liberals these days-- automatically supporting "trans". Same goes for women, probably, as well as any other group that skews "progressive".

I'm betting that ultra-Orthodox (i.e., religious fundamentalist) Jews, by contrast, have very low rates of trans-support (unless they see it as a way of "transing away the gay" and/or enforcing gender roles).

[–]Chipit 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

They are not liberal. Israel is right-wing as fuck. They are literally an alt-right ethnostate that practices apartheid.

[–]PenseePansyBio-Sex or Bust 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Oh, no argument there; but that's why I made the distinction about being in the west. Israel is a very different culture. Religious fanatics (Zionists and the ultra-Orthodox) are a powerful force there, along with Jewish Russians who, while atheist, escaped the USSR and are hella right-wing as a result.

Basically, Jewish culture in the west is largely the result of Reform Judaism (which facilitated assimilation into Gentile society); Israel is a return to pre-Reform Judaism, with a heavy dose of 19th century nationalism (facilitating the opposite: as you observed, an ethnostate).

First I've heard of this book, so as per my usual practice in such cases, I looked up the publisher to get a feel for their sensibility.

Here's their site, and the kind of titles they release. Notice any themes?

I mean, even a stopped clock is right twice a day and all that, plus right-leaning sources are among the few who dare question trans ideology... but from what I can tell, this outfit does NOT exactly inspire confidence (to say the least) :(

[–]HelloMomo[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

With Helen Joyce's book coming out in the UK, she's also getting attacked on the basis of "anti-Semitism". From what she says (and she's someone I really trust to be a good journalist) there were indeed 2 Jewish billionaires who donated lots of funding to the trans lobby. But her book doesn't wallow in their religion/ethnicity, though, while this book seems to (from what little I've read of it).

In the name of being skeptical of wokism, I guess I won't say that that Jewish conspiracies are categorically impossible, just because it's not PC. But like... I really think that the kind of Jewish people who might make plans with other Jewish people, and have any sort of Jewish infrastructure to back them, would be Orthodoxic Jews, not secular Jews?

[–]PenseePansyBio-Sex or Bust 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Helen Joyce is talking about the epically-creepy AGPs Martin "Martine" Rothblatt and James "Jennifer" Pritzker, right? I mean, yeah, they're both Jewish-- that's simply a fact-- but I don't really see the significance of this. Like, if they both have brown eyes, does that mean there's a pro-trans conspiracy going on among brown-eyed people? Or people born in the 1950s? (They both were.) Or fathers of 3-4 children? (Again, something they have in common.) And if these were both non-Jewish guys, would that constitute proof of "trans" being a specifically Gentile plot? I don't think so.

It sounds like Joyce is discussing two major funders of the trans agenda who happen to be Jewish, whereas this other author is saying that, because of Rothblatt's and Pritzker's ethnicity, the trans agenda itself must be Jewish. As you point out, that makes all the difference in the world.

And one of those rightly deserves to be called anti-Semitic... but (based on the above, at least) it sure isn't Joyce.

The UK seems to have a weird problem with dishonest actors being able to call anyone antisemitic and making that person instantly politically radioactive.

They somehow painted Jeremy Corbin this way with obviously ridiculous criticism.
