Is maverique being sexually attracted to the volleyball scene in Top Gun?

Maverique is a gender identity that falls under the nonbinary umbrella term. It is defined as an identity that is not the absence of gender, or an apathy towards gender, but a present feeling of gender. This feeling of gender is completely independent from male, female, neutral, or anything derived from any of them.[1] However, maveriques can be multigender with their other genders being related to maleness, femaleness, or neutrality.

I can't even.

I looked it up, and aporagender. I regret looking them up. It's like staring into a giant, gaping pit of cringe rebranded as special and wonderful.

Most of the definitions for these things are meaningless gobbledygook, regardless of whether or not they insist on making flags for EVERY SINGLE ONE.

I kind of feel we should just change our flags in for a jolly roger at this point. We are treated like outlaws, at least we will look cooler and will have one less association with the genderfolk

Neutrois, does that mean being neurotic? If so, I'm neutrois.

Let's see, I'm a straight woman, but I fall under the Queerdo umbrella, in various and sundry ways.

How the heck did this happen and happen so fast?

Why the hell is "polyamorous" listed as a gender???????n

It seems like these people all want to claim polyamory just because they are incapable of holding down an actual relationship with someone so they need to break people off from other relationships for random hookups.

Choosing only one of these is way too unrealistic.

What is a demigirl? Half female, half insufferable?

I saw "Third gender" and immediately cringed. White people need to stop culturally appropriating things from indigenous people. If you are White, you are not "2 spirit" or "3rd gendered", those are ceremonial social constructs from people your ancestors committed genocide against.

2 spirit was a rather recent invention by Native Americans. It was made to replace the term, Berdache, which they consider offensive. It was used to describe gay or otherwise gender non-conforming men who were put into a different social class in native tribes. It was not a gender. It's just gender cult appropriating the oppression of gay and gender non-conforming men again, as they always do.

I mean this in the absolute NICEST way possible: please do not speak on gender in Native American culture unless you are Native American. As an outsider who has directly benefited from genocide and enslavement of indigenous people, it is not your place to speak on their social views of gender and sexuality.

Dude, the term was literally made in 1990 to replace the older term that is considered offensive for the oppressed men in Native American cultures.

I'm also not American or Canadian, so I'm not sure how I directly benefited from the genocide and enslavement of them. Or why that would even matter since the people who did those things are long dead. I don't subscribe to the idea that one must be part of a culture in order to criticize the oppressive parts of that culture.

Yes, this exactly X 1000.

If you care about humans, you are willing to cast a critical eye on ALL practices that hurt people, regardless of where they come from.

To add to this: the idea that you can't discuss a culture in any way unless you directly belong to that particular culture is outright absurd. It's like saying that the only people who are allowed to do social anthropology focused on ancient Romans are ancient Romans. What an incredibly anti-intellectual position to take.

People are absolutely allowed to discuss cultures they directly don't belong to. Doing so is not inherently disrespectful.
