"Transphobes have always been the fucking bane of the LGBT community"

Always? This whole transgender craze is quite recent, relatively speaking. And saying "I don't like dick" isn't transphobia, that is just being a lesbian. Sorry, but it is time to face reality and realise that a lot of people aren't going to like your dick.

"because you reject our history"

Ironic, considering how much you hail the unidentified trans people of colour at Stonewall.

"actively work with far righters and NAZI's"

"Everybody who disagrees with me is a Nazi / right-winger!"

No mate, I am very much left-leaning, and so is a fair proportion of the people here.

"because you just make the LGBT community so much duller."

If dull means "exclusively normal and stable people", then that is fine with me. You can have your spaces, and we will have ours. Just, don't call yourselves LGB, I don't want to be associated with you.

"Fuck your reactionary bullshit, fuck your historical revisionism, fuck your white nationalism."

Here is the thread on this sub that supposedly prompted this anger. Oh, the irony of being this reactionary whilst complaining about "reactionary bullshit".

Transphobes have always been the fucking bane of the LGBT community

That part actually made me laugh when I first read it. He’s reacting to lesbians discussing not liking dick in this tantrum. So, what he’s saying is, “homosexuals have always been the bane of the gay community!” Uhh, okay.

But, you know, I also know a fair amount of older LGB people. Curiously, none of them remember trans people around much from the 70s-mid 2000s.

Now they are everywhere.

When I started university in 2010, there wasn’t a single trans or otherwise gender special person in our campus’s gay group. It was all LGB and TQ never came up. Somehow, TQ just exploded in that group in my senior year with no precursor. Always been around my ass.

Why do you think that happened? Do you remember if something specific prompted it? When I came to my college in 2015 the QSU was almost entirely T, and genderspecial. There were a few ssa people, but none identified as gay, only queer, nonbinary, agender, pangender, those kinds of labels. I'm curious now if that "shift" happened on many campuses around the same time.

If I had to guess, tumblr. In fall 2010-fall 2012, it was LGB people. Spring 2013, it was suddenly a bunch of lesbians who became transmen and a bunch of straight girls who said they were asexual, pansexual, or demisexual. They were all big into tumblr. They were also all kind of awkward people who spent way too much time online and seemed to be looking for approval for others.

Idk. For whatever reason, tumblr seemed to push insecure people down rabbit holes and get people to go from 0 to 100 on things.

Huh, interesting. Were people just not using Tumblr before 2012 or did it actually come into existence then? I feel like TRA stuff weirdly arose somehow out of hipster culture, but I don't know how to explain that link.

I wish I'd been around to experience the gay group on my campus before it got overwhelmed with gender ideology.
