I remember lurking on actualesbians about 3 years ago, and one of the users on there described themself as a "trans tomboy lesbian" and I was just so baffled... that kinda seems like straight with extra steps, you know.

A convienient label for all the men who want to sleep with lesbians without the hassle of having to present as anything like a woman. Most of the ones I've seen still wear flowery dresses and whatnot though.

Yes. I guess it's possible but I've never met a real butch lesbian that enjoyed wearing dresses. It's usually the only thing that signals what they're trying to do though, so I guess that's why.

I saw few butch lesbians wearing dresses for special cases, but it was super rare. While majority of transbutchlesbians are wearing them all the time, to show "I am woman". While real butch lesbians are women, and need nothing to prove.

Most of the "cishet" women I know rarely wear skirts or dresses either, and looking at the transwomen who somewhat pass, neither do they. It's the laziest way of trying to signal "woman".

It sounds obvious when you put it like that but it actually makes me really angry, thinking about it more. I'm imagining some of the cis lesbians in these relationships realizing later with dismay that they were pressured into accepting dick, and just how manipulating the whole thing was.

The fallout from this is going to be terrible. I know a lot of people joke about it on here, because it is funny to see the mental gymnastics and the irony of it all, but like. There is going to be so much damage to clean up from of this messed-up ideology.
