If cis women stop wearing make-up, I will never pass.

Oh, don't worry-- you wouldn't anyway! :)

Also: hear THAT, liberal/progressive/feminist trans-shills? THIS is what you're demanding: women MUST wear makeup CUZ THINK OF TEH MENZ!!!

So progressive! Much feminist!

Not gonna lie... TIMs have made me feel way more confident about my appearance to the point where I don't even wear makeup anymore.

Right? Like god damn at least no matter what we're recognizably women!

When I recently asked my otherwise lovely lesbian friend who is openly about third wave feminism why she would want to perpetrate gender stereotypes if she is so against being associated with ones for women and she got silent for a noticeable amount of time and then said “because they’re important to trans people and their identities.” Yikes.

wow we went from women can be anything to let's play up the stereotypes that oppressed us to make men feel better and fit in with what they think we are. ok I never thought this shit would happen in my lifetime.

Sadly she considers herself non-binary/genderqueer and this followed a rant about how she hates being reminded that she’s female and to hear her bag referred to as a “purse.” She does have many good qualities. And I should clarify for any bystanders that I’m also a lesbian (i.e. a female homosexual) and I’m not telling this story to paint lesbians in any particular way. In my experience, lesbian reactions to gender ideology are very varied.

IF she considers herself to be nonbinary, then she also cannot be a lesbian if she's not a woman, she's merely a trendy (likely) millennial.

How disappointing. Woke women are willing to throw out all their rights for validation.

He really thinks that people around him suddenly believe he is a woman when he puts on eye shadow and lipstick? This polite-fiction-to-save-trans-lives culture is making them delusional. If they really believe they are passing when they are not due to everyone around them telling polite lies, I can see how it would be a shock when they finally encounter a person who confronts them with honesty. It must be pretty embarrassing after weeks, months, or even years to suddenly realize that you do not make a convincing woman when you previously thought you did.

That's like letting someone walk around with parsley between their teeth, multiplied by a million.

"Excuse me, OP, but you seem to have a bit of parsley stuck between your teeth and also your penis is missing".

He doesn't - or shouldn't. But when he puts stereotypical feminine accoutrements on he's signalling to people that he wants them to call him "she". I get that. It does get very tangled because we don't have to. But I suspect it's the same reason that TIFs like beards or working out to look hyper masculine. So people judge the exterior as trying to fit into that binary.

[–]WildApples 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I get that generally, but his comment about passing suggests he believes he can use cosmetics to get others to believe he is a woman, not just pretend he is a woman.

If that makes them feel better, then women get to demand he dosn't wear makeup, to feel more feminine - hah!

Don't Wear Makeup ✔️

Disagree with mainstream opinions ✔️

Criticise any politicians on "your side" ✔️✔️

Dont send nudes to your partners ✔️✔️✔️

Speak out against fascist demands of women ✔️✔️

Or so much as disagree with damaged men being in girls restrooms ✔️

Then you're a.....

GASP BIG BAD NAHZI!!!! ✔️✔️

BTW- the politicians that some simpletons coom over, who have helped kill hundreds of thousands of poor black people are totally OK to these fakeliberals though ;)

I don't wear makeup but this tweet makes me downright giddy at the thought of throwing away what little I have.

Sorry, TiMs but I'm not going to wear make-up to enable men's lies and fetishes. It's not like most of these dudes "pass" with or without make-up, anyway.

I hate to be a natal-fem Norah naysayer, but I think we have to rethink sarcastic titles like this. Seeing people posting the horrific stuff written on Parler makes me realise that GC Saidit can be made to look just as bad really easily.

Saidit is not a nice place and I think we should be really careful not to look like we're inciting violence even as a joke.

[–]BiologyIsReal 13 insightful - 1 fun13 insightful - 0 fun14 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

TRA rutinely engage in slurs, de-plataforming, propaganda, smears, doxing, geting people fired, death, rape or other kind of violence threats, and sometimes even actual physical violence. They are lobbying to erode our rights behind everyone's backs. They promote the medical abuse of children. And so on and so on. But we are the ones who need to be careful with our language in case someone miss the sarcasm in a tittle? Why? They are going to get mad no matter how nicely we expresss our views as long we question transgender ideology, and they are going to twist our words, anyway. And why does everyone care so much not to offend trans identified people, seriously? Everyone knows that men cannot be women or viceversa, and I don't know of any other group of people who is treated with so much deference.

[–]lefterfield 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I agree with this in spirit. To be fair to Parler - and for the record I wasn't a member - there is horrific stuff written on every social media site. The real issue is whether it's being moderated fairly and impartially, imo.

'most oppressed', LOL.

Can we ban everyone who's a witch on twitter?

I realize this is old, but I just want to say that Holocaust jokes are not okay, period. I'm really concerned about the direction this sub could go based on some things I've seen recently, and titles like this don't help. We should not normalize joking about something as horrible as the Holocaust, especially as in relation to wiping out a group of people. Keep in mind that a lot of alt-right men got drawn in through memes that are supposedly jokes. Trans people are people, and I would hope GC people want them to live happy lives even if they disagree about what it means to be a particular gender or what political rights are up for grabs.
