Just noticed what happened and came here immediately to check if there's a new sub... so glad this sub name has been taken by us and not by our "fans". Do you know where the majority has migrated? As in is there another platform I'm not aware of?

A lot of people are joining Spinster. It's more of a Twitter-kinda format site (Mastodon?), and its community before this just happened ran a little on the older (and British) side, so it's not great, but it's something.

Mastodon remains committed to standing up against hate speech... committed to active moderation against racism, sexism and transphobia.

Mastodon apps are already starting to block Gab specifically. But given the nature of Mastodon, they can't actually stop Gab from doing anything. They can only make life difficult for them.

it's also federated so more resistant to censorship. imo spinster is the way to go.

I made an account there (@ladycakes, come say hi!) and I can vouch that it is exactly like twitter, without the idiots and misogynists everywhere. It's awesome so far. I haven't made an older, British best friend yet but I am still hopeful.

Agreed i wish we could all pick one site to migrate to. So far Ive seen a few mentioned but Id like something that can have other topics too. Id love to delete my reddit account and just be done.
