    I see.

Thank you for your opinion. It is certainly a fresh opinion, in my opinion.

It's the worst position, it's wrong, evil, and there's no evidence to support /u/Mastermustard07's claims. Doing nothing is a way of supporting Putin (and Putin's mother was Jewish, and his closest allies are Jewish billionaires, as well as Israel). /u/Mastermustard07 is obviously wrong on all points and favors a position that supports Putin's genocide of Ukrainians, their rape and torture, kidnapping of their children, bombing them to rubble, war crimes against them, threatening nuclear disaster etc., etc. He's the worst of subhumans: a coward, traitor, genocidal scum, Nazi supporter, Jewish billionaire supporter, and he wants a world where the most powerful rape, torture, and slaugter to get whatever they want.

That's some kind of leftist troll. Notice how his claim about you make no sense. First you "support Putin's genocide of Ukrainians", then in the very next sentence you're suddenly a "Nazi supporter". Which is it?

On the other hand, his claim that he supports the torture-murder of ethnic Russian villagers is entirely credible.

The one thing they hate the most is lack of engagement. Any type of response is a win for them.

And for this reason, I am frustrated with myself every time I put any comments on threads like this. I know we're all just wasting our time yelling at each other with no room for genuine debate.

I do confess I didn't know before this post that Ritter is a convicted pedophile. That is interesting and explains a lot. So since learning is in theory the point, I'll count this go 'round a win.

But weren’t the Ukrainians genociding the ethnic Russians in the eastern parts of Ukraine long before this war started?

      [–]YoMamma 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (9 children)

Absolutely not. It's an obvious lie. Civilian-clothed, heavily armed Russian soldiers began entering Donbas in 2014, attacking the airport with heavy artilary and taking over other portions. That's when the invasion began. A few Ukranians defended themselves and many died. There was no proper offensive in those territories by Ukraine. There were some defensive battles with the Russian invaders, but nothing sustained. 99% of actual civilians in Donbas didn't want the invasion, obviously, nor were they heavily armed with the artillery that these civilian-clothed Russian soldiers brought. If not for the invasion last year, which included Kiev and many other areas as targets, the civilian-clothed Russian soldiers could have continued to hold much of Donbas unofficially. Now they're being pushed back to Russia, though very slowly and at great cost to both sides. A substantial portion of Ukraine's economy is supported by the eastern territories. They mustn't lose it to Putin, as they've lost Crimea. Putin and his Nazis should not be allowed to take whatever they want. Appeasement results in a non-stop authoritarian trend of land-grabs, as we've seen throughout history.

That's a good link. There are many others showing what has happened in Donbas since 2014.

But for the sake of argument, let's say that there was a mistake or a crime committed by Ukrainians during that time period. There's no evidence of this, but let's say a group of Ukrainians accidentally shelled a building that had actual civilians, not Russian civilian soldiers. Let's say the bulding was a target because Russians set up artillary there or nearby. Or perhaps not.

Regardless of this, Putin's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the rapes, turture, kidnapping children, bombing civilians, threatening nuclear disaster, creating an ecological and a humanitarian disaster by bombing a dam, bombing much of eastern Ukraine to rubble, displacing 12 million Ukrainians fleeing the invasion, reducing and stealing the crop yields necessary for feeding millions of people globally, committing numerous war crimes that have been confirmed, destroying power resources that are needed for civilians, taking Crimea, and so much more reveal an invasion that is wrong on every level. There is no excuse for it, by any standard. There is no grey area here. It's one of the best examples in history of the need for Ukrainians to defend themselves and for NATO to help them. No argument works in favor of Putin's invasion. None.

      [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (6 children)

Okay. That dam bombing was the US and Ukraine.

Ukraine was the most corrupt nation in the world.

      Crimea is ethnically russian.

I don’t believe the west on this.

      [–]YoMamma 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

Okay. That dam bombing was the US and Ukraine.

Absolutely false. It is not possible that Ukraine would have done that, not in the least. An incredibly stupid assumption.

Ukraine was the most corrupt nation in the world.

When Russian puppets governed it before 2014. Get your facts straight.

      Crimea is ethnically russian.

Also false. Read about it [here](ahttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Crimea) and stop spreading lies.

I don’t believe the west on this.

Because you're a genius and most of the rest of the world are idiots? WTF READ about Ukraine, ffs.

That dam bombing was the US and Ukraine.

That's technically impossible - the dam is an enormous amount of concrete, no bomb would damage it enough. The only possible versions are Russia mined it and then started the explosion, or the explosion was accidental (from floating mines or something), or there was no explosion, just structural dam failure because of negligence.

      PMC Wagner Group

      [–]Alphix 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

I recently learned that they were formed with the unofficial military of the 4 provinces of Ukraine that are breaking away to join Russia (or to be independent). I had been wondering why Russia might use a PMC instead of their own troops, and the reason is this: by sending their own military, they would be in fact INVADING Ukraine. But the Wagner group is local to the Donbass and as such, are defending THEIR OWN territory. It is not a conquering force, nor is it actually a part of Russia.

So in fact it remains technically true that Russia never invaded the Donbass. Wagner is the Donbass defending THEMSELVES with support from Russia, similarly to Western Ukraine is attacking the Donbass with support from NATO. It's obviously very ugly and could be made to last for a long time, sadly.

4 provinces of Ukraine that are breaking away to join Russia (or to be independent).

False. That's what Putin's tried to engineer since 2014. Now he's turned the area to rubble and has had his prisoner solders rape and turture and slaughter numerous people in Donbas, as has been confirmed with observers. Those provinces are Ukrain's and should remain Ukrain's.

I had been wondering why Russia might use a PMC instead of their own troops, and the reason is this: by sending their own military, they would be in fact INVADING Ukraine.

This is a good point - civilian-clothed, heavily armed (with artillary &c) soldiers have been pushed into Donbas since 2014, taking territory, taking the airports, at great cost to Ukrainians, and it was all part of an aproach to take Donbas and pronounce it Russian. The Russian military identities of those civilian-clothed Nazi scum invaders have been confirmed many times in the past 9 years. So you're right, they worked for Russia. Some on Saidit haven't read about this.

But the Wagner group is local to the Donbass and as such, are defending THEIR OWN territory.

Absolutely false. They are a diverse Russian mercenary group with headquarters in St Petersburg and have served in many conflicts. They're Nazi scum who are nothing more than hired thugs. They're the lowest form of subhuman one can think of. They are NOT native or local to Donbas. They are NOT defending anything of their own. Get your facts straight, Nazi scum (per your flag at DAR).

So in fact it remains technically true that Russia never invaded the Donbass.

Also absoutely false. Russia invated Donbas in 2014. Time for them to go.

Wagner is the Donbass defending THEMSELVES with support from Russia

Again, absolutely false. Read the facts. Get away from the children's games for a second and read the history.

similarly to Western Ukraine is attacking the Donbass with support from NATO.

Also false: ALL OF UKRAINE is defending itself by expelling Russian Nazi scum invaders. They've received some military AID from NATO.

It's obviously very ugly and could be made to last for a long time, sadly.

      Unless Russians leave.

      [–]Node 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I don't know that the Wagner group is local to the Donbass, but I do know Ukraine accepted the nazi-narrative promoted by the US State Department to genocide ethnic Russians.

Ukrainians in the east began to dislike being murdered, and began to fight back, then separated from Ukraine after they invaded and began slaughtering civilians. That's probably when the little green men showed up to help defend them. Russia itself only went in after acknowledging their status as independent territories. Ukraine is the only invader in this situation.

Those torture-murder videos the Ukrainians published were pretty rough. elensky himself bragged (on video) about killing their schoolchildren who were too slow to make it to a basement before Ukrainian artillery killed them.

The cattle-people believe anything they read or see from "official news sources", so they cheer the torture-murders like the less-than-humans they are. Unfortunately, not all that uncommon among the new saidit users.

      [–]Alphix 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Well they have a lot of people native to those breakaway republics in their ranks. They also have prisoners and people from various places around the world.
