I'm not watching the videos, but people of all races, including ours (assuming we are the same), do heinous things. I hate senseless violence regardless of race. White people building their weapons and dropping nuclear bombs on Japanese civilians is horrible. White people dropping napalm on Vietnamese civilians is senseless. White people wearing swastikas under the rule of Adolf Hitler did some evil things to their own civilians. I would guess that the people who beat Jesus, scourged him, spit in his face, and nailed him to a cross looked like us. And what did Jesus say? Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.

I still want white people to be saved, just like any other race. Thank God a man is not condemned for being born into a specific nation or language. But all races need to REPENT.... and quit being evil, or they will not enter the kingdom of God!

Illinois is also in America. The first link you shared showed a small town in the Czech Republic with 400 inhabitants. Did that tiny place rule the world?

For those who read and desire the truth: think about what the verse is revealing about Babylon, "that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.”

Babylon is a great city (not a tiny town in the Czech Republic).

Babylon made all nations drinks of her poison. NYC is home to the World Trade Center. NYC is home to the United Nations. It is the headquarters for the world government.

NYC is also home to the largest "Jewish" population of any city in the world. But just because someone claims to be a Jew, doesn't mean they are telling the truth. As Jesus said,

I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

You're no different from the women who mocked suffragettes who dared to ask for the right to vote.

You're the worst enemy of women: not an abusive man, but a woman who hates herself and is so desperate for dick they'll try to bash the other (more successful) women. You're the main reason women are oppressed: desperate pickmes like you.

I'm taking a wild guess and assume you're a fat, ugly, desperate lady who tries her best to please men because men don't give her any attention?

Sweetie, I know you're bottom-of-the-barrel, but I'm sure even you can find better places to beg for dick.

First of all, I'm a woman. So there's that.

It seems like we're talking at a crossroads here. I'm not saying women have it on easy mode, far from it, it seems like you're reading that into my comment yourself. Being a woman is hard and often brutal. I don't disagree with anything you're saying about the beauty standards of women or how men treat us based on how much we conform to beauty standards. Yes, above all women, be beautiful and more importantly, be sexually available. I get what you're saying, I really do.

What I am saying is that men do not question a woman's femininity based on her lack of accomplishments or achievements. I don't have to do a damn thing and I am still a woman. I don't have to have a skill set or put on a full face of make-up and I can walk around in sweats and my femininity is not called into question. I will concede to you that women who do try to achieve things are often met with snide remarks and judgements in one way or another, of course.

However, men who do not achieve things or learn skills or who become useful generally have their masculinity questioned. So men who can't do these things or who won't do these things or are scared to do these things now have the crutch of social media instead of being forced out into the world to learn and grow. And because they can't achieve anything or are too scared to try, they think they are taking the easy way out by 'becoming a woman'. Because then, they don't have to do anything and it's an out from having their masculinity called into question by the world.

It doesn't work that way of course, but that's the thought process I see happening in a lot of these young, socially awkward men.

I wish I were actually Trans enough by xoenix in TumblrInAction

[–]QueenBread [score hidden]  (0 children)

However, women don't have to do anything, and their femininity will not be called into question (with the exception of butch women, of course). If men don't achieve, or put in work, or learn skills, they are looked down upon by society in general.

I'm trying to understand what kind of mindset does a man need to have to believe this disheartening bullshit. I have a hint: a complete lack of imagining what being female ACTUALLY is like. Something that seems to be in common with the trannies.

Yeah, not only women don't have to do anything: they're frowned at and even discouraged if they try to do anything. A woman's femininity is ALWAYS called into question, far more than a man's..... and fun fact, it tends to be called in question whenever a woman accomplishes something, just like you said. There's rumours that "JKR is secretly trans", and a rumour that "Kamala Harris is a man in disguise". It even harkens back to the queens of England. Because if a woman accomplishes something, she can't be a woman.

I have first hand experience on this myself - like all women, all of them. do. For example, I once cosplayed a drunken middleaged male character while a friend of mine dressed sexy. The photographer pushed me away. It left such an impression on me I cosplayed as a slut myself the next time, and I discovered that yes, showing boobs is more encouraged than putting effort in clothes and acting.

So you say, hey, ok, so women are discouraged from actually accomplishing things, doing good in jobs, or being quirky. But at least all they have to do is look pretty and then they get their way!

And that's another bullshit statement, from someone who sees a pair of boobs from the outside and doesn't think about anything else. You HAVE to look pretty. Women are held to a much harsher standard of beauty, because an ugly man who's successful or rich becomes hot, but an ugly woman who's successful or rich still is considered ugly. If you don't believe me, look at any media ever. From how female actresses that are old are a rare sight compared to old actors who become sex symbols. To simply how videogames even now in the hyper-woke era where things at least improved in that regard, we still have a huge tendency to portray the male character as anything (old, ugly, fat, animal) and the female character as generically pretty.

I won't even get into the social and biological horror of being a woman. If men can go as far as to fetishize menstruation or pregnancy, it means they just have zero idea about it. Well, not all men, but you sure do, judging by your comments.

That is a true example of a catastrophic nuclear power accident.

For us in America, we have the Three Mile Island nuclear reactor meltdown. There was no wind storm or earthquake, either.

She felt the earth move, got choked by a strange blue fog, and fell to the ground. She checked the local radio station. Nothing. No earthquake.

This hasn't come through to the Western elites and their thick skulls

That's because most political leaders have never served, and those high up in military command are careerists with no actual battlefield experience. You can tell who the real veteran military warriors are, they're the ones who are saying "never go to war unless there is no other alternative."

"The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" by Mark Twain repeats the word "nigger" over 200 times. This fiction was required reading for me in their government ("public") school system. Why? This same institution will fire a teacher for having a Holy Bible on his desk, which preaches God's love for all. by In-the-clouds in conspiracy

@davidcnswanson: Absolutely LOVE that brilliant courageous students are making this about all weapons to all wars, not just particular weapons to one particular war.

@weeMar80: It’s great to see them stand strong in their solidarity. The students aren’t under any illusion…they know that it’s the same people fucking with their future that are complicit in the genocide of the Palestinians and are fighting for a better future for everyone.

@FlavioRojas2: The oil trust fund of Norway, where most retirees have their pensions invested, adheres to a very strict ethical code of conduct. It divests from industries related to war and avoids investing in countries governed by dictators.

@tavisint: Exactly. As a prof, I know @kendietweets is ALL our students everywhere and they are so on point that the only thing the right can do is mock and try to diminish them. But I see it every day, the future is bright!!!

America is a Democracy (That's the Problem) by Drewski in Libertarian

[–]zyxzevn 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I disagree with the first part: "America is a democracy"
It is an oligarchy, that owns the press and manipulates public opinions.
They have made the public dumb.

By keeping the people in debt, they become dependent and divided.
And it has split the politics into: "give me money" and "take less money from me".

Decisions are made outside the public, by "donors" and such.
(Israeli donors helped to decide on support to Israel)
The politicians and media sell the decisions with lies, and deceit.
(like: Trump derangement syndrome)
They often need to create a problem, so the people must accept the decided solution.
Usually laws are changed with just a few words, word changes, to give the law complete different meaning.
(Like equating conspiracy theorists to terrorists)

The unnecessary power of the president and lawmakers on important decisions makes wrong decisions unavoidable.
Especially today they are corrupt, controlled, badly informed and stupid/demented.

My wife and children were recently trying to remember how many years each of our cats has been living with us. Some of them are over 10 years old. We wondered what the average life expectancy was, so she searched online. She found that there is a big difference between indoor and outdoor cats. Indoor cats typically live 12 to 18 years on average. Outdoor cats may live only 2 to 5 years on average, according to her quick search results on her cell phone. So I think your cats are blessed that you let them live inside!

"Femininity is a state of being, while masculinity must be achieved" as a social view.

I completely take your point that women must learn a variety of skills to survive, and don't dispute it. However, women don't have to do anything, and their femininity will not be called into question (with the exception of butch women, of course). If men don't achieve, or put in work, or learn skills, they are looked down upon by society in general.

No western force is currently configured and equipped to defeat a near peer competitor force. Twenty-five years of 'war of terror' have left those armies in a very sorry state. At least during the first year of an expanded war their troops would have no chance to survive. The Russian forces, by now a well oiled machine with plenty of excellent weapons, would defeat them within one or two weeks. What then?

This hasn't come through to the Western elites and their thick skulls.

The irony of this situation is that they brought it on themselves.

Over the years, many idealists have tried to establish utopian societies but none have been able to make them work.

Well ...

For example,
the United Sates of America,
the first modern Democracy, was,
until it proved successful,
considered Utopic.

Imagine the vision required to,
before the creation of the USA,
actually seek to set up a government
by the people for the people,
based neither on oppression
nor on lies (e.g. elaborate religious bullshit)
but, rather, on reason and consent, ...

... this in a world where
only monarchies/dictatorships, oligarchies,
and/or assorted priesthoods
had been ruling over people ...

... how Great was that!?

It uses the server-client model, just like Matrix for example, which does make message delivery more reliable. Specifically offline messages are hard to deliver in a p2p network. I agree that they should open-source the server and allow the client to connect to different servers. However, 'man-in-the-middle server' is a deceptive term because it inserts the name of an attack into a perfectly valid model. When you connect to this website, you also connect to a server, of course. Clients connecting to servers is what the Internet is for the most part.

You identify by phone but your messages are e2ee. Furthermore, you can reproduce the build so you don't just have to trust them about the e2ee like with whatscrapp. I've read that they have only a minimal set of metadata. Last login time is one of only a few things on the list. Do you suggest they can gather more metadata?

Don't get me wrong, Maher is most certainly bad news and we should pressure her to step down. However, I'm not convinced that privacy is directly threatened by this.
