Vinyl is fucking awesome. It provides something mp3s don't, and something CDs don't, especially for DJs: touch. Tactile response. Plus there's the enchantment of having physical, mechanical grooves that convert sound through vibration. It represents the first, great innovation ever made in sound reproduction that still to this day has indiscernible quality as far as most people are concerned. Plus, it's fun to collect physical things. Screw losing your collection cos of a virus or pressing the wrong key or some other minor factor resulting in data loss. Having to maintain multiple backups is anything but fun. But not once have I lost a vinyl to any accident.
