For how long will I have a delay between posting comments?

It's annoying as fuck. And will I always have to complete a captcha to create a post?

Off the top of my head I think its either 2 or 10 Karma to get rid of Captcha. I've given you 3 by double upvoting your post (2 for 'insightful' 1 for 'funny').

There is still a timer to prevent spam, it gets shorter as your Karma goes up. A couple of the subs are Karma gated at 100 like s/politics s/news and a couple others that get bots spamming them.

It's just crude anti-botting measures, welcome to Saidit. Also I'm not an admin, I just vaguely remember the rules, so please just don't shoot the messenger if this sounds like a pain in the ass 😅

You have to get a little bit of karma in that specific sub. That's just inherited from reddit.

You're still in the trial period. When that is over, you can post freely. Maybe someone remembers how long you have to wait or how many points you have to build up.

There's no trial period. You have to get a little bit of karma in that sub, regardless of how old your account is, or you'll get the cooldown timer. Even I still run into it occasionally.

I don't think so. You might have assumed such before getting enough karma though, which is more intuitive to a new user. I once thought this when I first started using reddit.

I was just being stupid. I've experienced the same thing with alternate accounts that are not very active like the one I'm using now. It's irritating but I guess the measure's in place to prevent spamming and astroturfing. Saidit uses the same Python code as Reddit BTW. Here's an upvote if it helps your account.
