According to the post-modernist mindset, everything is 'a social construct'.

There's no objective reality.

So, gender, for example, being a social construct, is not based on objectively determined physical features like a vagina, but only on what authorities decide gender is.

And so, if Abdul (a six-foot tall adult African male, with a shlong down to his knee) says he feels like a prepubescent Japanese little girl named Kyoko, then, for postmodernists, if you don't go along with his lie/pretence/delusion 'experience', this constitutes ... "oppression!!' and the authorities need to prosecute you.

This mentality is, of course, so idiotic and totalitarian as to constitute a civilisation-ending level of stupidity.
