Well duh.

"Kids at or near puberty try to impress teachers they've got the hots for, news at 10! In other news, water is wet."

I guess I don't hate to be that person, but water, by definition, cannot be wet.

but water, by definition, cannot be wet.

Yes, I've watched QI as well 😃

Of course water is wet. The US Geological Survey says "the most obvious fact about water is that it is wet, at least in the liquid state."

There are many obnoxiously pedantic people who will pick one single definition of the word "wet" in order to "prove" that water isn't wet in some sense. For example "Liquid water is not itself wet, but can make other solid materials wet. Wetness is the ability of a liquid to adhere to the surface of a solid, so when we say that something is wet, we mean that the liquid is sticking to the surface of a material."

But that cherry-picks just one meaning of the word, ignoring all the others. We can have wet weather, no solids need apply. Air can be wet. People can have a wet personality. Paint can be wet even when it is still in the tin. Places near the equator have two seasons, a wet season and a dry season.

In day-to-day language, to be wet is to be covered or soaked with water or another liquid. It's a tactile sensation that we experience when we touch a surface that is moist or damp. Water (at least liquid water) meets that definition perfectly. Is water covered with water? Hell yes. When you put your finger in a glass of water, does it feel wet? Hell yes. Water is wet.

  • Dictionary.com: wet (adjective) in a liquid form or state
  • The Free Dictionary: Characterized by the use or presence of water or liquid reagents
  • Wiktionary: Made up of liquid or moisture, usually (but not always) water.

Everyone is more willing to do anything for someone attractive.

That explains why I'm willing to do anything for you, jet.

I know people say that sexuality is immutable and predetermined and all that bollocks, but IMO, more MILF teachers => fewer kiddie fiddlers.

Yeah, but people say a lot of shit that isn't backed up. Sexuality isn't immutable or predetermined because it isn't real. Imagine if we labeled all your experiences of jealousy as some innate jealousality type. It erases the fact that emotions occur based on experience and that lust is (which throws a wrench in that incel idea that men aren't allowed emotions) an emotion.

It is a lie that is pushed becasue kids are intentionally being groomed to be homosexual and sexually deviant. The groomers use that lie to claim they can't be grooming because sexuality can't be manipulated.

I agree.

Yeah no, people definitely do have different types of jealousy which are inborn.

I personally have never felt sick with jealously that some people report. I think that's generally a man type jealousy which most women don't have just as most women don't have an attraction to women.

No, they don't. Here's the thing - emotions are our logged memories to affect future choices. You don't have an innate happiness type or disgust type or anything else. You don't have an innate soul or genetically coded personality. It is formed throughout life and can change.

That claim is easily disproven by the fact that identical twins can have different sexualities, and boys who are sexually abused at a young age are far more likely to be gay.

It is just one of the untruths that leftists push demonstrating that facts don't matter to them.

[–]jet199Instigatrix 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Identical twins get different amounts of hormones in the womb and and those hormone levels are thought to be the main cause of homosexuality.

It's quite normal for twins to complete for nourishment in the womb and one is born bigger than the other because of that. Clearly that means one could take testosterone away from the other as well as food.

There is zero scientific basis for that claim. If it were true than the smaller baby would always be the one that became gay. It is junk science. Sometimes scientists are propagandists too.

There is no reason to believe that sexual development happens in the womb. It is frankly absurd.

Is that why all my students are so lazy? 😂

This is nothing new, though. The Halo Effect has been around forever.

I bet they're more willing to do 'homework' if it's 'have a wank', too...
