Like I said it's a good way to avoid lust, it reduces the temptation. I guess I'm not really qualified to answer this since I don't really get lust, but I know what I get off to in place of that takes up a LOT more space in my mind when I haven't been able to do it. There's no justification for classifying it as evil unless there's lust involved, unless your mentality is "anything involving pleasure is a sin!".

That article is literally medieval witch hunting tall tales. Demons of course exist but that is just bogus. Where do you think they got such detailed and specific information about demons? There is nothing noble about refraining, other than perhaps training for self-control or a kind of fasting. All it does is make you irritable and unable to concentrate on anything, because the longer you deny the urge the more it pesters you. Women expel their seed, your body needs to also. If you don't it causes not only discomfort, but also hormone imbalances and even health risks. All the supposed benefits sound a lot like placebo to me, and they're never consistent. You can't reach true enlightenment until you realize how utterly pointless all these worldly and fleshly matters are.

Some people are able to avoid it for extended periods of time, including you assuming you're telling the truth. Others will eventually have an involuntary emission, and a few will run into medical complications and severe pain.
