This won't stand. It directly contradicts equality law. Religion and gay rights are on equal footing in the law, one can't be given dominance over the other.

Leviticus 18:22 says with a male you shall not lie a woman's lyings. That can either mean don't have anal sex (and they just didn't think about it happening with women) or don't have a man fuck you if he's married to a woman. I don't see any honest way to turn it into "don't be a fag". How theologians get away with that is by changing "a woman's lyings" to "as with a woman", which isn't technically wrong if the first interpretation is correct, but without knowing how the original is worded it sounds like it's saying something a lot different.

That’s not the point. Jewish attempts to discourage homosexuality did not stop Hitler from killing both Jews and homosexuals, so it was pointless because it did not increase the number of Jews, it dragged Jews down to the level of Christians and Muslims who took Judaism’s single biggest flaw and doubled down on it, and it did nothing to stop attempted genocide of either group.

They are. Just as parts of the Koran, Torah, Rig Veda are. Any sectarian state has distance itself from any particular religion. I certainly don't want Sharia Law (or any other religious law) dictating policy in my community either. You can have common sense law that reflects the morality of the whole community without religion. This ahole has no right to attack anyone based on his beliefs. The same is true for the other side as well. I certainly won't put up with someone form the LGBTQ community dictating what I should shouldn't believe or the language I use. Dogma is dogma, and I simply won't allow it to piss on my karma.
