Both have positive and negative aspects?
Just like everything in life?
Amazing the power of profit-driven corporate propaganda

"I am trying to clear my head of all the junk in there - the assholes, the flags, the underpants." Kurt Vonnegut

Also both must be voluntary. Socialism may work in smaller communities where the participants know each other and agree to the terms, but not when it's forced upon an entire society. Similarly Christianity is fine as a personal choice, but many evils have been committed trying to force others to accept it.

No. Socialism claims that the people must own the means of production. And "the people" has historically meant the government. And Christianity is not a political manifesto for building a Messianic kingdom but a revelation of some of what God says and thinks and what people think and what people must do to not go to hell when God shoos away the New World Order like a tiny and displeasing flea.

Socialist leaders claim to know what the people want and twist everything into serving them.

Capitalist leaders claim to know what the markets want and twist everything into serving them.

Religious leaders claim to know what God wants and twist everything into serving them.

Zionists claim to know what leaders want and twist everything into serving them.

So many of these 20th century writers were secret or open Marxists. It's really sad. Such a nasty little ideology, it's never worked even once despite being tried so many times. Every time it results in tragedy.

I've always wondered why Vonnegut is so revered as an author. His writing isn't terrible but it's not exceptional. And as he got older it became even less remarkable. But whatever skills he had as an author he certain was not a great thinker, as evidenced by this quote. It's so simplistic and shallow, naive even.

I read one of his works, meh. So I read a 2nd as obviously the first was just a one off. Meh. So I read a 3rd. Didn't like it. The guy just is way overrated. I am not giving him any more chances.

Oh look an atheist shitting on Christianity, and the Spanish inquisition did two very good things: rooted out the fake Christians (Jews) in Spain, and invented the modern court of law.
